[Q] New update with changelist 27xxxxx or 29xxxxx? - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys.
According to the newly released updates, a wave of OTA updates with new changelists is rolling out. Do you think that we, by any chance, get a new update any soon? Official Samsung website does not state any planned updates.
The latest changelist for most of the regions is 2089850, however, 27xxxxx and 29xxxxx are being released.
Does anyone know if we get the update soon?
I would not really care but I had to reset my phone recently, so I don't know if I should wait.

..

I was talking about eny european CSC.

How to update firmware?

Anyone know if theres anyway to update the firmware or rom version with an official tmobile update? thanks
There isn't an official update out there to update to... yet. I may or may not have an official unreleased update that was never released but is now a bit old... but I'm not releasing that. I'm waiting to see if tmobile makes something newer...

Question about the official firmware update.

I'm sorry if it has been discussed, i used the search functions and all i came up was a bunch of random stuff. So...... is there a date for the official firmware update, that would be available from the site of SE????
Search here!
I don't know where you are but most ROM updates have been available for the past couple of weeks. I updated mine using SEUS to R2AA008 Generic_NAM version and the new ROM date is 12/21/08.

WOW...i guess i'm missing something here. Why isn't there an official update available? How can there be 1K+ firmware updates in the links you posted, but nothing official?
Leaked
It seems the UK ones etc are all leaked and not official like the NAM and the Voda and other European etc. I wonder if there will be any differences though in the officially released ones?
Any word on the official release date?

Is Android 6.0 Official already there or comming soon for G7-L01?

I was confused by seeing a new firnware version at huawei website places 5th of august 2016 that ends with C636B320 and if i google that it looks like it could be android 6.0?
There is no version number written on the website:
http://consumer.huawei.com/my/support/products/downloads/detail/ascend-g7-my.htm?id=86353
I tried installing it on my phone but I always get installation failed, maybe because my phone is from a different region..
Anyway would be great if they bring an official android 6 update for our G7!
The firmware you linked to is Lollipop.
Android 6.0 is currently only official in Turkey and China, but we are still waiting for the European version to be released.
Unfortunately, we don't know how long we will need to wait for it, if it is ever released.
Also, you are correct that you are unable to install the update since you are only able to install updates from your own region, or carrier (if your device is branded).
Ok I see, a download link of 6.0 is availible on this site, but will probably not work because of different region..
But I will try it, i'm dowloading it now.
Was it successfull? I am still waiting for this update to be released for european devices.

L720TVPSCPL1 Update?

What is it? How does it differ from OK1?
Monthly security updates?
Nope,.. has the same date from 2015 which is odd because that's the reason I went through all the trouble of un rooting for the OTA. Even the Android version is the same as well.
speaking of security updates, anyway to update that manually if samsung is too lazy to push it out?
If it's a carrier specific phone then you can't do anything until they release their version of the update.
Their version meaning: Samsung has to release an update, then the carrier takes it and adds their own apps and bloat, test it (prohably) and then release it.
