[Q] Please Help: System UIDs Inconsistent + Error code "-24" - nothing works..
Hallo all! I really HOPE someone might help me with two really annoying issues:
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 Black-Edition (Modelnumber: GT-I9505). From day one I rooted the phone
(CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505.tar.md5)
but still use the samsung stock Rom. My Android version is 4.4.2 and I had the genuine firmware-version I9505XXUGNG8 from the Samsung homepage (sammobile).
.. Since the update from the firmware-version I9505XXUGNF1 everything has been working perfectly for three weeks, but yesterday when I restarted my phone suddendly the error massage "System UIDs Inconsistent... [...] need to wipe [...]" appeared before I was asked to type in my PIN. I Ignored the message and started my phone as usual, but suddenly my nova prime launcher lost some of its homescreen shortcuts and all of the widgets. Note that this "System UIDs Inconsistent"-Message appears each time I restart the device.
.. After manually restoring the shortcuts and widgets on my homescreens I noticed that power amp was missing. Ever since I was trying to reinstall it from the google Playstore I get the error message "Unknown Error code during application install: "-24" ", so I'm not able to get that app again (I got the premium version - can't download/install the unlocking-key file either).
I got the premium version of titanium Backup installed and did a complete backup of all user and systemapps (app + data) a month ago , but I simply can not find the power-amp entry in my backup!! Does anyone know what filename to look for in the titanium backup-file in order to restore the poweramp app??
Those two error messages ("System UIDs Inconsistent" - "Unknown Error code during application install: "-24"") are really driving me crazy, so does anyone have an idea what could be the cause for those issues and how to fix them? Is there anyone sharing the same problem? What could I try to solve that problem?
I'm VERY thankful for any sort of help!

No one sharing the same propblem??
A small update:
I deleted the Cache and all Data from the Google-Playstore App and I deactivated it.. After I reactivated the Playstore app the error-message after rebooting dissappeared ( "System UIDs Inconsistent... [...] need to wipe [...]" )! .. So one problem is remaining!
Still cannot install the poweramp app! Still get the error-message "Unknown Error code during application install: "-24" ", although the app is NOT installed on my device. I removed every 'com.maxmpz'-entries.. Note that I did a Titanium-Backup BEFORE the problem occured for the first time, but I am not able to restore the app using Titanium.. Titanium-Backup starts to restore poweramp bu nothing happenes (Process-Bar always stays on 0%).
.. So PLEASE, can anyone help me?? I want my poweramp back!

Since you've rooted your phone im guessing you have also installed twrp or cwm. Your best bet would be to make a backup of your rom, apps, texts etc, wipe your cache and dalvic cache then reboot to see if this solves your issue. Otherwise preform a factory reset and reboot to see if the problem persists.

Probably the cleanest solution HERE

HELP! the application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly.

So despite innumerable threads on this strange issue, I'm not seeing a definitive answer on how to fix the problem.
Clearing cache on "download manager" and "market" DOES NOT WORK!! I still get the white screen of death, followed by the friendly message..
I also CANNOT see anywhere in the manage application settings where I "clear the download history" or wh8ever....and really - I'm feeling like I might have to invest in a computer science major just to maintain a reliable, updateable phone!
PLEASE HELP, anybody...is there any fix to this other than factory resetting everything & reinstalling everything??

not rooted
Has anyone found a solution to this Market problem?
I also get this error message on my stock G2 every single time I download an update to an app I already have installed. once I clear the error message, the download and install always completes, but its annoying as all heck. can anyone confirm if master reset permanently resolves the issue? if it does id be willing to do it...
Primarily force closes happen when application permissions(or system data) either overlap or conflict... Hard reset will only resolve the issue if you stop installing whatever it is you have messed permissions up with... Boot into recovery and fix permissions and see if that helps... If not, hard reset and install apps individually to see if you can trace it..

I apologize, but that doesnt help me at all. this issue doesn't only happen with certain apps, it is literally 100% of apps that I experience this issue with. if I boot in to recovery mode, what permissions am I looking for?
Boot into recovery and fix permissions? I wish i were that competent...but i am no programmer
Cant i just reinstall the Market app somehow?

Android is updating evry time i boot.

Hello folks,
Know someone something to solve's this problem? When i get the message he is actually starting up the applications. I think that updating tool is stuck on that state or can not optimize an application. I have readed the whole logcat but don't understand it. so i include it anyway maby some of you understand it better. The problem started after the first CM10.1 update after that it keeps giving that message.
I tryed:
- Formating cache and dalvik-cache
- removed the odex files from wordfeud (wordfeud won't start after that first update)
things i probably better don't had done:
- Try to recover manually my games
- pluged in a samsung usb cable (devices crashed! on that moment (but that was on stock))
Specs:
Nexus 7 wifi (32gib)
android 4.2.1 CM10.1-2013112-NIGTLY-GROUPER
Formatting the dalvik cache will cause the 'Android is updating' result. You might want to flash the custom rom again and let your apps restore from Play Store. You can restore game data, usually, after installing the app, but don't restore the game.
If it simply says "starting apps", I would not worry about it.

Best way is to give it to the service center . Seems like you haven't done anything that voids warranty.
Get it fixed from them costs a max of 1000 to 2000 bucks in Rupees
It's almost impossible that a factory reset won't fix it. Or are you rooted?
Are you sure you waited long enough when you booted?

Restoring Nandroid didn't go well

Hello guys, I'm facing a problem.
So I recently made a nandroid backup. I installed just a small mod but didn't liked so I restored
my backup. When I started up I did get a google play services and google process gapps stopped message.
As I clicked OK I immediately tried to open other apps but they all FC. I didn't get error on recovery and
also wiped cache and dalvik. Still facing this problem, what could be the problem? I'm on stock deoxed rom
Well thats normal when you didn't fully wipe. Always fully wipe before restoring backups.
I got a error message: android_secure.img not found
Sounds like this is the proble, but can't seem to find how to fix it..
Oh nice -.- was about to flash stock rom but won't work, write protection is enabled wtf!??
can't do it with odin anybody knows something??

Unfortunately mtp application has stopped s5 on boot no UI.

After i tried
http://download.chainfire.eu/397/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-klte-kltexx-smg900f.zip
on lollipop on vodafone uk, i got this error message on boot, i press ok and after reboot i got no root
Then i install superuser through twrp that i previously had and keep getting this error message on boot.
The thing is i cant get past it, its covering the whole screen no operating system ui just that in a white box and a press ok, which doesnt work until after 2 minutes.
EDIT: its just constantly saying programs has stopped responding in a loop and cant get into android system. How do i fix this, i tried fixing permission in recovery but that didnt work.
So what i can do without losing all my work on my phone.
I hope you made a backup before flashing root files
Boot into recovery, clear CACHES, reboot - see how you get on with that
If you flashed CF Auto Root, there was no need to flash SuperSU, as it comes part of CF Auto root, someone else just did that and ended up in a boot loop, had to wipe the phone and flash a stock ROM
Thats the thing i didnt, i watched a video saying it wouldnt delete your files rooting and decided not to backup.
I was stuck on samsung logo half the time and other times stick with "unfortunately MTP application has stopped." in a big white box blocking me getting into android.
I tried fix permission, clear cache and delvin cache and nothing worked.
I just system wiped and got in but lost all my work.
Fortunately Google backed up most of my photos and videos and contacts but no sms messages.
Now i gotta get all my apps back on my device and get it back to how it was and hopefully i did not mess any important texts.
Note to self: Always backup.
EDIT: i just had gaaps not working and giving server error, after trying out ways to fix that i tried all the normal stop app and clear cache, and then did fix permission in twrp, and after doing "also fix SELinux contexts" it messed me over and got me back to that white box.
so another note to self not to use "Fix SELinux contexts" as that messed up my system after getting 30 apps back installed.
