[Q] No FM Radio on LG L5 on Bell Canada??? - Optimus L3, L5, L7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

On my recently purchased LG L5 there is no icon anywhere on the phone to launch FM Radio. The Canadian version seems to lack the FM Radio, unlike the UK version. Sorry XDA won't let me post the phone specification links
Two questions:
1. Does the Canadian version have the hardware capability for the FM Radio?
2. Is there a APK available for the stock FM radio on the UK version that can be run on the Canadian version?
Thanks!

Need help please!!
Seriously people, I need some help here. I ordered the phone by mail and I will need to pay shipping and restocking if I want to return it for the lack of the "over the air" (**not streaming**) FM radio app. :crying:
Can anyone please refer me to the APK for the installing the FM Stereo app on the LG L5? Thanks in advance!!

Try to use AnyRadio from Playstore, runs well!

[Q] FM radio: Missing regional option!

Hi folks...
I hope you can help me with my question about the inbuilt SGS FM radio. My problem is that some users report that they can switch their region setting to other than "Europe" or "US", namely: "Japan". I can't seem to get this done.
I have the German unbranded SGS phone with the original Froyo ROM issued from Samsung (GT-I9000, Firmware 2.2, base band I9000XXJPP, kernel 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #1, build FROYO.XXJPO).
It seems that my German version does not offer the option to switch to the Japanese region but the Australian version does...
I tried using the Australian FM radio APK from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=842813), installed it via temporary root into the system/apps folder (replacing the old APK), but the only result is that my FM radio is now in English. There is still no option "Japan" in the region settings - although there should be.
Where other than in the APK is this option stored? Or do I simply have to get the Froyo FM radio APK from the Australian ROM? Help!
(Can anyone provide the Australian Froyo APK so that I can try whether that solves the problem?)
Best regards,
ask_richy
Yeah, it seems for early froyo releases just changing the apk worked. The latest Australian roms don't include the Japan option either.
I was poking around the jpx source the other day and it looks like support might actually be in the fm radio drivers.
Not really sure though and I'm away for another week before I can look into it again.

I would look forward to hearing from you again on this matter...
As I am not too good a android/linux guy, I am really stuck here.
in addition:
I just had the chance to try the FMRadio.apk from I9000DTJG4 (Australia), the newest original Australian Froyo firmware.
Although using this APK, my FM radio goes back to the native language (German) and does not show "Japan" as a regional option.
I guess all the regional settings must have definitely been moved out of the APK to somewhere else (drivers?).

Motoactv US version in Europe

Hi all!
I had the chance to buy via Amazon US the Motoactv at a more reasonable price (180$ vs202€ in Italy!!!).
Well now i think I have kinda di problem of geographic limitations for update the device and, Furthermore, it's only English and no optionfor italian (not a big issue actually but I'd prefer it). So i was thinking at rooting the watch in order to install European version or even one of the cooked rom for this little jewel. Question is: is it possible to root without having updated the device to the very last firmware release? Im now with 1.7.8 and I know there's out the 1.7.12.
Any answer really appreciated.
Thx
Andrea

It's best to update, as it updates the bootloader as well, but I don't think it's required.

I have found alot of specs regarding to the F320S/L and many say That it has but also many say it doesn't have it But as far as I know the Korean variants so with removable battery/Microsd slot support doesn't have Analog Radio(Fm Radio) only an T-DMB. If you wanted to listen to FM radio just what I also like then the only way is sadly to buy another device like an Mp3 with an buildin FM radio. I get your pain:crying:
My trustable source for phones which aren't on gsmarena:http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=5190&c=lg_f320l_g2_lte-a
The only LG variants with FM Radio are the D802 and the Sprint version (model # eludes me at the moment).

Hi, please post on the main thread, I didn't see this here until now: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1059296&page=863
1: I'd prefer that you not download the full paid versions from the Internet. I can't support phones that I don't have sufficient customers for. (I see phone models in my sales stats.)
2: Tell me what phone (is that not obvious ?), rooted status, and system software or ROM.
my mobile glaxy s5360
