[Q] Poor wifi range LG G2 - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
First post, hoping someone might be able to assist. I just received my international LG G2 and the wifi range is horrible. I have to be practically in the same room as the router to get a wifi signal. This is not an issue with any of the many other devices that we use around the house to connect including variius other samasung mobile phones and apple mobile phones or various tablets, laptops and game consoles.
Are there any settings I could try or is this most likely a faulty wifi adapter and will have to send back to the seller? I use wifi extensively so if this can not be rectified I can't/won't keep the phone.
Is this a common issue? Has anybody else encountered this?
Thanks

Poor Wifi on TyTN II

I gave off my HTC P3600(Trinity) and purchased a TyTN II in the hope of getting better options, particularly on WiFi. I frequently travel and rely on WiFi hot spots to connect to the internet. I was disappointed because TyTN II could hardly detect a WiFi signal and when it does it always drop off. From my experience, HTC P3600 is even better in handling WiFi. Has anyone had a similar problem and got a solution? Is there a kind of service pack kit to jump start it? Please share and help!!!!!
I haven't detected any problems with Wi-Fi so far. Working great.
Good, steady connection, since "Power Mode" is mostly set to "Best Performance".
Mine also works like a charm.
check your Radio ROM, u might have a dodgy one, as some work better than others.
Wifi works good.
Sometimes the signal drops. But use Wififofum. So the wifi will scann all the time
Having the same poor WiFi problem with Vario III

I'm having exactly the same problem with my T-Mobile Vario III. It seems that if I'm any distance at all from a WiFi router the connection is crap. The phone has been like this for some time now and I am getting sick and tired of not getting a decent WiFi connection anywhere.
The phone is still under warranty so I'm sending it back to the T-Mobile repair centre.
My radio ROM version is 1.27.12.11. I intend to re-flash the phone with the latest HTC official WM6.1 and radio at some stage but I suspect that the poor WiFi problem may be hardware related otherwise loads more people would be complaining about this like they are about the sh*te graphics performance.

[Q] Is there a way to controll wifi strength in tethering?

Hello. There are many people who are more intelligent than me and I hope they may answer my question. It's only slightly related to N7 and I guess it may be removed. Nevertheless, I'll have a go!
So, the problem is that I purchased a 2012 wifi N7 and I have a free 3g internet available. I want to use an old LG GT540 as a modem, The problem is that wifi tethering drains my battery really fast. Is there a way (an app, a frameowork, a setting) to reduce the wifi strenght? I always carry my N7 around LG and I don't want it to produce a very strong wifi signal.
Thanks in advance for any possible solutions.

Can flashing baseband possibly fix WiFi?

Hello gents,
before you dismiss yet another S4 WiFi issue related post, keep in mind I am a Network Administrator for a living. What I do know well is wireless, what I don't is why my and many other's S4s are plagued with the WiFi issue.
If one is to search Galaxy S4 wifi problems, you will find a whack load of results with basic answers that don't resolve the issue. I am one of the lucky owners of a I337m Galaxy S4 that is a perfect phone, except the WiFi is absolute wonkers. My S4 is extremely inconsistent with being able to connect to 2.4Ghz networks, though 5Ghz is fine. I have attached a gif as an example of what occurs, though the signal is strong it refuses to connect instantly or gives "authentication error". There are good days, there are bad, but mostly bad.
I even gone as far as taking the phone apart and replacing the WiFi antenna with an external modified version, trust me it is NOT an antenna issue. I came across a youtube video of a fella with an i9505 who claimed to be able to fix the wifi issue by changing the baseband. This I would love to try though as far as I know there is only one baseband for the Canadian S4 if I read the forum posts correctly. At&t has a few which I wouldn't mind trying, but is it possible to flash the baseband from Bell to At&t (i337m to i337)? Would that even affect the Wireless functionality in the phone, or is it purely for the cellular network?

D5+ smartwatch connectivity issues

I've recently bought a D5+ and even though the first few days it was working fine, suddenly it started loosing Bluetooth connection with my Note 3 smartphone, Wi-Fi connection was limited or missing and also mobile network was dead. I've been in contact with the production company where they suggested upgrading the firmware to the latest version. That is what I did and unfortunately the problems are still there! There seems to be an antenna issue. I've noticed that when I bend the wear strap, the signal improves significantly but the mobile network is still dead. Any suggestion how can I resolve this out would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

ConnectIons

Hi guys, has anyone experienced connection problems with the Z17? I'm in the UK using the Three network. Compared to my previous phone, the Moto G4, I don't get as strong a phone signal, and the wifi hotspot is considerably slower (online gaming lags whereas previously there were no issues at all, and streaming is problematic at times). Anyone have similar experiences or any advice to offer? Thanks in advance
