Maybe, there is a chance. I've recently installed USB Host Controller app and got the messages in the screenshots below.
The firmware is rooted stock Gingerbread 2.3.4 with some un-Blur modifications. Unfortunately I dont have a USB host port cable yet to run a complete test on this.
Zoli
I tested here with me, and it did not work! : (
someone already succeeded in this?
I use the 2.3.7 rom CM7 tezet!

The LolliRock ROM works great, had it for over a week now. You do need a mouse, and a USB hub allows you to connect other things like an external hard drive and usb sticks.
I think the OP is asking for a multirom solution, not for alternative ROM to flash on the NP ...
I think it is technically possible, but the poor 8GB is a big limit in creating a usable multirom solution ...
That app I suggested is a multirom app. It installs a Linux distro to an SD card.

Lolipop and USB-Host Charging?

Are there any roms/kernels that will allow me to be on Lolipop and also charge/power my devices at the same time using a OTG Y-Cable?

how to enable OTG

I have tried with different kernels and roms but without success. I have often found it difficult to find recent kernel to use.
You can help me solve this problem?

Then flash Nitrogen OS and you should be able to get the OTG working
Nitin
If you have Otg Y cable and a kernel with otg support
Still you may need StickMount app

Hey there i also had trouble with otg. But now i have no issues.
1. If you are at 4.4.4 - 5.0.2 flash franco kernel sabermod and ukm. If you are above flash quanta kernel and ukm
2. Otg-y cable is mandatory. (Nexus 4 cant afford the voltage)
3. Make sure you are using synapse. In the misc section enable usb-otg
4. Make sure you are using supersu for root operations
5. Install stickmount from google play.
6. Connect your flash drive or whatever you want to mount to otg y cable's usb port.
7. Connect a power source
8. Open stickmount and press mount button. Give it superuser permissions.
9. Check the message below the screen. It must say it mounted a usbdrive
Thats all. Cheers

I'll ask here instead of making a new thread, but I just bought the phone. Do you know how compatible the hacked OTG support is? (full compatibility or limited etc).
Limited - it will not work with every USB stick, seems random for me - two of mine are working, other two not.
It seems USB 3.0 not supported.
