[Q] Action Memo (Like Note 4) - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
Not so sure should this be on Apps section or here at Q&A, but anyway..
I watched some videos from Youtube about Note 4.
I saw this clip and thought that this is a must for my Note 3 (and NP12.2)
I downloaded some app dump from Note 4, just couldn't find Action Memo from there (to install it instead of stock Note 3 version)
Do you think that app can be ported or somehow get to work on Note 3, or maby add this feature to Note 3 stock Action Memo.
I really want that pinning option to my phone, so I can add memos directly and easily to my homescreen. That video linked above starts just before he does what I want to my Note 3.

SNote mini app

The Samsung SNote pop up mini app can be pretty useful for taking a quick note while using the tablet. But, each time you make a note and save it, then relaunch the mini app, it automatically just creates a new note. Is there any way to make it just reopen the last note.?

Questions from a first time android owner

Hi everyone! I was using iPhone 4s for 2 years and two days ago I bought myself a Galaxy Note 3 (9000) and I have some questions:
1- Is there a way to control Poweramp from S-View cover menu? I can control the default music app from s-view window but cannot change it to another music player. I have found an app to do what I want but I cannot install it to my phone because it is for galaxy s4, take a look: S-View Music Controls [Xposed] (i can't give outside links)
2- Why on earth the default music app sorts the artists beginning with 'the' on letter T. Like 'The Devlins' is on letter T instead of letter D. Is there a way to change it?
3- Everytime i want to increase the volume while listening music, i have a warning. How to disable it? It's very annoying.
I listen music a lot with my phone. And apart the music related problems I am very happy with my phone.
Thank you for your kind help.
1- Might be able to with root and xposed framework modules that enables it. (this works for s view cover of SGS4 I believe. Someone will probably create one for Note3 S View cover in the future)
2- Don't know
3- Yes, you can do it if you are rooted and install Xposed framework and install this module http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2338474
Since you are new to android, you probably don't have a clue about rooting or the powerful xposed framework. Google and xda are your friends

Import Contacts Widget?

Ok, so I just upgraded to the Note 3 from my old Note 2. So far, I have found every app/widget I used to use, or a suitable replacement. However, there is one that I am stuck on. On my Note 2, there was a great stock Contacts widget that Samsung has failed to include on the Note 3. I have check the Play store and cannot find anything close to it. What I want to know is this. Is there any way to export that widget and use it on my Note 3? I'd love either that widget, or if anyone knows of a contact widget that is similar, I would be all ears. Thanks!

Multi Window "APP" for Galaxy tab 3 7.0 any model

There is an APP which give you the functionality of having multiple windows on your device[/B][/U], However its not exactly like the Samsung galaxy multiwindow found on the the galaxy note but it does give the functionality to have a;
- multiwindow web browser
- multiwindow Gplayer
- multiwindow Tiny apps ( like notepad etc)
and a multiwindow youtube player.
You guys can check this out if you want, its not exactly like the actual MultiWindow but it does the job in the sense that you can use these apps similarly to the Galaxy note with these similar features that for me actually look pretty alright. I dontexperience ANY lag when using this so far....
How to get this
Basically there are 5 apps required for this.
The main one is Swapps- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.schiztech.swapps&hl=en
Then we have the features which give the apps so we require these apps on the side:
Floating Browser- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=gpc.myweb.hinet.net.PopupWeb&hl=en
Floating Youtube- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sudsoftware.floatingyoutubepopupplayer&hl=en
G Player (SuperVideoFloating)- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=gpc.myweb.hinet.net.PopupVideo&hl=en
Tiny Apps lite- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ragingtools.tinyappslite&hl=en
Download and install all of these and then open Swapps. In the General settings/Pad sections change amount or starred apps to about for because we downloaded 4 addons.
Now go home and slowly flick from the right to open the MultiWindow menu. and 4 add signs are there. Find and add those addon apps you downloaded and Viola!!

Got Gear 2 Neo connected to Note 8.0 (4.2.2)

Hi all, I got my new Gear 2 Neo connected with my Note 8.0 GT1100 (WiFi). I am still running android 4.2.2 (stock).
I did the following to make it work:
1) got latest Gear Manager from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2573200; downloaded 2 apk and placed them on my external memory card
a) got Gear manager: v2.0.14040401
b) and GearManagerStub.apk (placed also on external memory card, not into systems/app as recommended!)
2) Installed both apps
3) Turned on Bluetooth and ran Gear Manager
4) That gave a few error messages but I nevertheless succeeded in connecting to my new Gear Neo 2
Certainly not everything is working (yet)...
What is and is not working (still WIP; just had 30min to test a few things):
Hoem screen styler works
2) Samsung Apps: fails to find any Gear 2 apps
3) My apps
a) emails does not seem to work (again, might tale me some time)
b) Music Player is working (and I can push songs onto my watch); did not try controlling my Note 8 music player yet (PowerAmp)
c) Heart Rate Monitor: working
d) Stop watch + timer working
e) did not try media controller, but I can start the app on my phone
f) Gallery: have not figured out yet how to push picts from my tablet to the watch
h) Notifications: does not seem to work, but then again, I had little time to figure it out...
i) S Voice: detto, could not download it to my Note
j) Pedometer: works
k) Voice Memo: works
l) schedule works: unfortunately I lose all appointments when I disconnect from teh watch...would be really nice if I could store it offline (like contacts, which I have not tried yet)
m) could not get Weather to work in teh short time I tested it
Well, I hope Samsung will soon upgrade the Note 8.0 to KK with a fully working Gear Manager....at leastI got something to play with until then (and can use it as a (cool) watch)....
Good luck guys and let me/us know if you got other apps to work/download.

Nice, though not interested in Gear myself.
Has anyone tried this with a rooted to KK device?

Update:
I upgraded my Note 8 (N5110; wifi; US) to Android 4.4.1, then I fully hard reset my device. Not much changed and I still do not have access to Gear apps in the Samsung app store, despite Samsung claiming I should. See link: http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/wea...SM-R3810ZAAXAR
Here is the text from that Samsung website:
"Samsung Gear™ 2 and Gear 2 Neo are currently compatible with devices that meet the following criteria:
Android™ version 4.3, Jelly Bean or higher
WVGA or higher screen resolution
1.5GB or higher memory"
Note 8 with android 4.4.2 meets all criteria, but still.....
My only 2 options are now:
1) Wait until hopefully Samsung will have mercy and enable Note 8
2) root and change the build ID
