adobe flash on 4.4.4 - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all- I know the note 4 is going to have 4.4.4 and was wondering if the hacked flash player by surviveland works well on 4.4.4? Im referring to full screen and/or laggy performance in dolphin browser. Im stil on 4.1.2 on my trusty note 2 lol
TIA

I just can tell you from my S3 running 4.4.4 CM11 that Flash runs fine with Dolphin. Don't see a reason why it shouldn't work with the new Note

Thanks for replying. Had a chance to play with the note 4 at best buy and installed dolphin along with hacked flash lol it worked however since u have 4.4.4 I have a question... at best buy I wasn't able to get sound working most of the time. Does sound work for ur phone every time the video starts and are u able to adjust it using the volume rocker?

Yes, everything works as expected, no problems with sound. Even Maxthon Browser plays flash without issues, Boat Browser does not.
Anyway, you can't stay forever on an old Android version, can you?
I'm also hoping that they keep porting hacked Flash to the newer Android versions, so let's see about Android L...

[Q] FlashPlayer 10 for Fascinate

Does anyone know how to get the adobe flash player on samsung fascinate..i need some help plz.. hate no to been able to watch videos on regular webpages...
Yeah. Wait for froyo. Flash doesn't work well with 2.1. Your only option for now is to use a browser like skyfire that has a little bit of
Flash built in.

Skyfire actually converts flash video into html5 video using their servers.
anyways, he's correct otherwise.

And by that, he means it doesn't work at all. Of course it depends on how you define Flash. We have Flash Lite, which is good enough for some Flash-based ads and stuff, but not much more. The full Flash 10.1 plugin needed for streaming video requires Froyo, so until then, as it's been said, Skyfire is your only option. And just FYI, Skyfire's video quality leaves something to be desired.

I've actually seen a hacked version of Flash 10.1 posted online that works on some 2.1 phones, but it doesn't seem to work on the Fascinate. Just relax and wait for the update.
Gahh, Flash Lite is annoying, because it only runs the ads that no one wants to see anyway.
I found that flash 10.1 for Andy 2.1 APk. It installs okay, but I could never get it to do anything at all.

Does not support flash, but is Divx HD certified LOL. So Stupid to have the best hardware currently on Verizon with the oldest software.

Netflix released for Nexus s and some HTC phones

So I just read on Engadget for several phone including the NS I have the NS4G and I am not able to download the app any one else having this issue?
Market link to Netflix.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.netflix.mediaclient&hl=en
I was able to download it just fine but its not working for me. Says its not compatible, must be because I'm on a custom ROM.
Streams great, even over 3G.
My life is now complete.
Works fine for me. NS4G, stock rooted.
Working fine for me on stock.
Could this be USA only? Not seeing this in the market. Link doesn't work either.

G2 running MIUI and netflix doesn't work for me. Dunno if its the rom, android 2.3.4 or both. The tv show plays only audio, then quits after ~10s
Installed and streaming quite well running on stock.

I'm running 2.3.4 on my Nexus S and it works find, it is probably MIUI
Definitely looks like it only works on stock ROMs, bummer :/
I am on a custom rom and it works...
Scratch that rAv's rom is stock.
Update: I tried for about the 5th time and I was able to install the app it is working like a champ! Crystal clear picture I'm stock rooted.
I can't install. It's not available to Brazil.
Hopefully soon hulu

NS running Nscollab 1.0.22 and i get the "not supported" pop-up
I knew there had to be a reason I was running stock. I mean, besides the fact that I can't get the dev kit running on my computer. >.>
Tried to install from the Market, but it's not available in Canada. Bummer..
Any way to try the APK on a Canadian Nexus S ?

Yeah it's definitely MIUI. I'm having the same problem
Netflix on CM7 DINC
Runs fine on my Droid Incredible with CM7.0.3.

What rom for best user experience?

Ok, what I need to know is which rom will allow me full flash support, and the ability to play music that I have downloaded as I love this tablet but it feels like a three legged dog in regard to what I can do!!
Or is this when people advise that I wait for the Cyanogen rom to arrive.
there are quite a few roms in the development section that have flash player pre loaded, as for music you can just use an app to play it (not really sure what you meant by that) or you can use something like amazon mp3 if you need to play music through the cloud.
Also in terms of flash i believe the stock browsers (chrome and maybe the stock browsers) dont support flash at all
I'm currently using paranoid android rom over in original development and I'm loving it. I found the flash apk off of Google and it works perfectly with the stock browser. As well, the whole app by app screen orientation selection is super nice. It's based on a cm10 port.

I'm running stock 4.1.1 with flash. Sideload the Flash APK and install Firefox Beta.
Works
EOS was nice cause they had a good tablet mode using the normal DPI.
Now there are a few other ROMs picking that feature up. Most all worked the same. Its just about which options you want. Everything is still new so some ROMs get features before others but eventually they'll all be the same pretty much.

Flash player

Any way to activate flash player.
...or an 4.2 not support flash atall!
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
Its not supported at all, though I haven't tried using dolphin browser. From what I know they still had a way of having flash work sometimes.

Not officially supported, you have to sideload it.

Works 100% perfect with aokp 4.2 browser , search the themes and apps thread to get a copy and directions
Just load the latest version of flash for android from adobe.com and a browser who supports the plugin e.g. firefox from market and you're fine. works great for me
I also find flash works better when you set user agent to android instead of desktop.
I'm using it with Firefox and it's great -- high frame rate, good resolution. It's almost as good as a desktop experience playing embedded videos.

Flash player

Are there any apps that will give flash support on jelly bean or are we just screwed?

Flash works perfectly for me. I'm rooted and replaced the default browser (Chrome) by renaming the BrowserProviderProxy.apk and BrowserProviderProxy.odex and copying in the Browser.apk from the AOSP Nexus browser. Side-loaded flash for mobile from the Adobe site. Search a little and you'll find lots more info about this. Other users claim Flash support on other browsers, but I haven't used them.
People like to use Firefox and install the flash apk. I have honestly never needed to use flash player though.

I sideloaded the flash player that I backed up from another device and use it with Firefox Beta (no root required).

I've attached the latest flash player. It worked fro me with Firefox. Mine is rooted. But if you are not you can give it a shot. Let me know if it works.

Works great on boat and maxthon browsers.

Dolphin works. Even newest versions. You need to delete or change some tunny browser file. I forget exactly, just search dolphin and flash. And no....you don't have to use version 8.5.xxx. that will crash if you full screen a video.

I just tried UC browser with flash and it worked. So far it's the only one that hasn't crashed when playing flash videos. Firefox crashes occasionally, boat crashes EVERY time I try to play a flash video.

Many thanks. always want to use newest versions of Dolphin with flash support and now my dream just came true.
After read your comment and google that finally I has found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933179 thread and it work!!
Ok, but I'm not rooted (yet)
Just got my nexus 7 recently, maybe in the future I'll root it.
I would recommend puffin browser or boat browser, both support flash without any extra app. Just download one and 'ur ready to go!
