There's no such built-in apps in Android One.
However, you can download Call/SMS Blocker and Tasker app from Google Play Store.

Thanks for the response. Actually a blocker works well with rooted phone. I'm waiting for official CM12 ; once available I'll root my set.
Hope following will be there too
- schedule of shutdown/start-up
- deactivation of specific SIM

Google tracking your behavior setting

Hi all just flashed the latest JVB, and noticed that there has been a new option added to the Market preferences:
"Receive interest based Ads"
It is enabled by default and turns out that it means google will track your activities, to enable them to target you with better ads "aka spam".

This is apparent on stock XEU 2.2.1 JPY as well.
At least they've given us an option not to
I've unticked it. Hell with that.
That's an updated version of the market app - and has actually nothing to do with the ROM...
Kind regards,
ww
actually google do this a long time ago, just add a options to disable it in the new market app.
If you read the fine prints carefully, you will see that Google will store your data regardless of whether you opt-in or not. The only difference is that you can choose whether they will use that information to influence the ads you see. Either way your history is on Google's server.
Enjoy your paranoia guys.

Setting default dialer

I downloaded the google dialer and google contact manager apps that work with the Axon 7. I am not rooted and I don't like the default dialer and contact manager. I sidedloaded the google dialer and contact manager. But there was no way I could set them as the default. I installed an app called HideApp and that let me disable the mifavor contact manager so now it uses the google one by default. However, I could not disable the mifavor dialer as it was grayed out. I can use the google dialer to initiate calls but all incoming calls are handled by the stock dialer. Is there any way without root to set the default dialer?
Mine did that, with root and completely freezing the stock dialer. I've read a few others experienced this too.
You need some framework found in custom roms in order to get rid completely of mi favor incoming call interface.

Yep I was afraid of that. Didn't really want to root quite yet. Thanks for the info.
I use these without any problem. I like the way they work.

Original Google dialer - empty call history informations

I installed via TWRP the google dialer framework then I installed original google dialer app.
My only issue is the call history that remains empty.
Is there a fix ?

Hi,
why you say is not possible on MIUI ?
I read in this forum that is possible if I install before the google dialer framework.
I did it infact now I can also download\upgrade the google dialer app from google playstore (I have the last global stable) and all run well, only the call history has the issue that remain empty.
Is there someone with a solution?

Then, I think that for now there isn't the fix the this is my workaround:
-for outcomming call I use the stock dialer app (where is possibile to see call history datas)
-for incomming call I use the google dialer app (and I can use the very useful utility "Spam Caller ID") (NB: I set this app like my system dialer app)

How to enable User Profiles?

In doing some research, it seems like the Canadian Fire HD units do not have User Profiles enabled on them. We just received our Fire HD10 yesterday, and I was surprised to see this, especially since it's been an android feature for years now.
Is there a way to either modify the settings to re-enable it, or modify system files (preferrably non-root) to add it back in?
Try the app below (you may need to use ApkPure or UpToDown to download it), as you can see I could access the Users & Accounts settings on a stock HD 8 2018.
Application: Settings
Activity: Users & accounts
Package/Class: com.android.settings/com.android.settings.Settings$UserAndAccountDashboardActivity

That link doesn't work for me.
Hmm, errr... This is the link for the app on the shortcut, the app itself is the last one, as the name suggests...

Question ALTERNATE DAILER FOR NOTHING PHONE 1

I am sick of google dialer call recording feature.
1- announcement of call recording.
2- unable to record all call.(you have to specify contacts manually)
please help--
1- uninstall google dialer.
2- somehow import other OEM dialer like SAMSUNG , ONEPLUS , OPPO , VIVO , REALME .
any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
I want a better dialer in case stops the loud, high-pitched beep it plays if you get a notification while in a call. Whoever came up with that "feature" deserves to be taken out back
Remove Call Recording Announcement from Google Dialer
Install the TTSLexx App (Play Store Link)
Open Settings and search for "Text-to-speech output"
Change the Preferred engine to the newly installed app (TTSLexx)
Long press on Google Dialer app icon and clear app data.
Video Tutorial (YouTube Link)
Note: The first time recording call after this process, there's a chance that you will have the announcement. So, test it by calling to customer care or someone you know.

If you are rooted, just install Magisk module Pixelify: https://github.com/Kingsman44/Pixelify
It at least solves one of your issues.
Changelog from v1.9
Removed intro voice for call recording for more devices
If you want to solve both issues, just install SKVALEX Call recorder. Root and Magisk is also required. https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-Repo/callrecorder-skvalex
Readme is not updated but it works with A12 without any issue.
