There was a major charging issue for me. I was using a just a regular charger from another phone and it took forever, using the one that came with it solved the issue. I have seen a few people mention the same problem here and there with other phones and just thought I would put this info up.

Battery life

The Battery in my mini behaves like it is worn out. That is, it drains very quickly and charges very quickly. Just to be sure that I have a working phone if something unexpected happens, when not in use the phone is on the cradle charging. I have a second battery on order and am hoping that the new battery will perform better than the first.
I have NoData installed and all access to 3G is blocked unless I start wifi or bluetooth. Otherwise there is nothing exceptional about the way I have the phone configured. I do check the weather twice a day and run the stocks option, and I do use it to listen to music with bluetooth stero head set maybe an hour a day.
I hate to think that this is all I can expect. If so, I will always have a battery freshly charged battery in the cradle and change batteries daily.
Howz everybody else doing? Are you getting the same sort of performance from the battery that I am?
i have same problem. i think it's a problem in current roms..
last week i saw a rom with this title "a new unlock rom by fixed battry life problem" but i don use that cuz i jus use original roms
My battery is good enough. One to two days of use.
I use the phone a lot for calls, mobile excel, off line information search (such as dictionary, tranlators, encyclopedia), calendar scheduling, gps navigation (thru navicomputer), and taking notes everyday. A few to moderate number of text per day. Plus occassional online social stuffs, music, photo browsing, and ebook reading. (When i lock down to some nice ebook topics, i can read for about an hour or two.)
With all these, the battery can typically last for more than a day. Although i haven't really tested if it can last a full 48 hours. Very rarely, i can run down to a dangerously low 20% or 10%. But never experienced an empty battery shut down yet.
For all this, i'd say it's good enough. Not spectacular. But not disappointing.
I'm particularly impressed with the battery performance under hours of gps use.
I don't really know if the gps or the battery is the great performer. But i'm quite satisfied with the performance in this department.
In fact, the acquiring of gps signal is so good, coupled with its great stamina, i decommissioned my dedicated gps device and removed it from the car, and then use HD mini as my primary navigation device.
4/2/2011 and i want to talk about battery life too...
I got my HTC hd mini with the latest maryone WWE rom, but
1st, never charges up to 100% but only 90%
2nd, I have no CHT installed
3rd, with some messages send and recieve, battery falls to 40% in 3-4 hours...
What the hell is happening?...
Looks like it's defective.

I'm using automatic backlight. My unit does not behave that way.
Whatever settings you have, you should be able to charge to 100%. Not being able to charge to 100% is a sure sign that there's something wrong with the battery.
I'm trying to help this guy find answers, using his description, and supplying the most probable explanation.
I see nothing wrong with that.
I don't answer "defective device" to each and every question in this forum. Try to check. I got a couple of hundred posts. I'm sure "defective device" doesn't show up in all of them. Not even half. Not even one fourth.
I try to help with opinions from my experiences.

lol guys i thank both of you for your help. I turned off the auto backlight adjustment and i will see how it seems...
So thank you both.
About the 90%, i think is about the ROM or the Taskbar. In previous roms i had not that problem...

1.it can be software problem(custom ROM which he is using)
2.telling is defective is not help(in my opinion)
3.after a quick search i found at least 30 of your posts with "defective" word

Haha, indd!
So thanx for the help anywayz guys!
My post, "Looks like it's defective", is a suggestion. It looks that way. It's for the owner to verify it himself. We make suggestions of possible answers. When did i insist it is indeed defective? Or even confirm that it is?
Suggesting it could be defective can help. Some had their units check, and confirmed they're defective. Some cannot confirm. For those who do, at least they got the replacement early. It's not 100% kill rate.
In my area, from the people i know, the defective rate is more than 50%. It's a good thing HTC is quick to replace most of them without much hassle. My supposed "30" post with the word defective doesn't even come close to 50% of my posts. And i'm sure not all of them is a straight shooting down of every unit i commented on. So what's the point? Trying to humiliate fellow posters? Do you get satisfaction doing such things?
Funny can be funny. You seem to have the habit of looking for the threads i posted in and shoot down every mention of defective. And then try to defeat my comment in the most sarcastic way. You keep following me around. I'm not famous. So don't waste your time doing so. It won't make you rich.
You hit someone in the head, and then said "chill out", with a wink. Doesn't make sense. You want to provoke people. And then appear very calm and peaceful.
You wanna make jokes? Sure. I actually find the first few ones amusing. Then the more you keep on doing this, it's obviously turning out to be sarcasm.
Are you provoking me to hit back at your other comments? Well, i'm not interested.
I've picked up a few useful pieces of suggestions in this forum. That's is the reason I'm trying to contribute back to try to help others. Especially the newbies. Like how i started.
That's my only point. I'm not here to amuse you, or to satisfy your ego trip.
If i've gone too far with my effort to help, someone please tell me. So that i will stop trying to contribute.

Totally UNACCEPTABLE.
Please make real jokes. Picking on others is not amusing.
2 words: Stop whining.
I don't understand how a custom ROM can create such a errors. If you use the packages of the stock ROM, nothing in the software changes, so normally behaviour stays the same. Have you tried running a stock ROM?

Have you performed a hard reset after flashing your mini with Madmatt's rom?

Good. Same to you. So we're quits. Don't bother me, and i won't bother you.
Let's get back to business.
What's in this ROM? Any special apps or features?

Insanely improved battery life in dk28

So i flashed the stock leak to 2 of my coworkers phones a few days ago and their battery life went up BIG TIME..now i flashed it to mine + installed EE.
last night when i got home from the bar and passed out i left go chat running all night and when i woke up my battery was at 75% - with go chat running for 8 hours. normally my phone would be dead. Im really, really impressed with the improvements in the DK28..
Anyone else seeing similar results?
Why not post in the EE thread?!
What's EE when I was on dk28 my 3g radio was trying to upload constantly and killed my battery in record time. So I'm not running it anymore only because of that. If this EE thing can bring my battery life back to normal I'll gladly give dk28 another try.

I'm surprised theres no sticker for a guideline on what to post on Development, though I guess common sense is supposed to be a factor.

What exactly are you developing? Is this a rom or did you really make a general post in the development area?
He was just spamming the development area with garbage

I have noticed the exact opposite w/ DK28... I was running DK05 before and had great battery life, now w/ DK28 its back to just a hair better than it was Stock.
Although this is in the wrong section I also noticed much better battery life with DK28.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
I have had much better battery life as well. No where near the advertised specs but significantly better than DI18.
can a mod plz move this so i can stop spamming this forum?
LOL. I'm definitely not seeing these results.
My battery life lasts me pretty much most of the day off the charger with some heavy use here and there and I'm still on DK17 ViperROM 2.6 with auto brightness on and a few widgets/notifications every 3-4 hours.
Does your gps work going that way? And if its much better battery life ill have to try doing it. As for those saying it is spamming, it may be but instead of trying to act like you have power actually contribute to the thread.
There are so many threads like this. Can we get a mod up in here?

What's EE?
I love when people have nothing to do but complain about other people posting in the wrong section..... its very upsetting ain't it

Wow, complain about it more so it keeps getting bumped...... I actually like seeing things like this because it just may more easily help someone in choosing a suitable rom. In a hour it'll be on the next couple of pages and you would have forgotten about this thread DISASTER anyways...

Epic Experience.....a rom.
With DK28 and EE I have had 26 hours of battery life, the first time I have had over 15 hours ever with my Epic. I am honestly comfortable walking a round without worrying about where I can plug my charger in at.
Threads like these (including their responses) are why post count doesn't matter.
Please post questions in General section.

Motorola - Potential Nexus 6 Issue

Been emailing Motorola UK regarding the charger issues with my Nexus 6, and having dealing with for past month I got the following from them today.
I am sorry to say that at the current moment in time it has been brought to our attention that there is a potential issue with the Nexus 6. We are working hard to verify and, if need be, rectify this issue and deliver this solution to our customers.

Lack of compensation?

walkerx said:
I have noticed that when the N6 is on charge, once it reaches 100% and left on charger, the battery starts discharging approx 1% every hour.
I only noticed this when my alarm was going off and when looked at battery usage it was saying 94% but nothing using it - installed GSAM and noticed that once fully charged it starts discharging even while on charge. If I remove charger and re-insert it starts charging again as normal.
Has anyone else noticed this issue. I have contacted Motorola to see what they say, but they are none the wiser and just think it may be a feature of the device/charger but not sure and said to test with another charger.

That was all I got back from Motorola after telling them I wanted someone to take ownership of problem.
I'm not sure of what they are referencing to, it could be linked to the issue I have logged with them or something else. @kf2m nothing to do with compensation, its to do with purchasing a product that is defective and under UK SOGA trying to get it sorted, but reseller has not done much about it so have been speaking to Motorola.
All phones do this. When sitting on a charger after hitting 100% they stop taking a charge until the battery drains to some arbitrary level - usually 95% or even 90% so it isn't sitting at 100% and accepting current.
There's no need to splinter this discussion into 2 threads. That's just a canned response from Motorola anyway.

Bad battery life? Slow Charging may help!

I've been pretty unimpressed with the battery life on my S6. I've always used the included fast charger. Today I used someone else's charger from an old Android phone. It may be a fluke but my screen on time has jumped from 3-4 hours to a solid 6 hours. Could it be possible that slow charging is the reason for this? Give it a try and let me know if it works for you too!

Just check maybe some of your apps(Im pretty sure you did verified ) and by the way I'm on snapdragon and not exynos.
Good luck with that.
