why you should not abandon your device just yet for Xperia Z3/Android L - Xperia Z General

while most of you know that Xperia Z3 just announce I have already seen some of them want to dump their Xperia Z for Z3 well here is to tell you why not to do that just yet till a better phone is out, while most of you have hear the upcoming of Oppo and One Plus One which has some killer specs and it is selling as quite cheap I still have chose not to get it here is why Xperia Z is a wonderful device I got it 1 day before Z1 was due to be out yes sadly but Im happy not to get it not forgetting the bootloader unlock causing the camera not to work etc I'm not really a fan of Stock ROM cause I have been using cyanogenmod since Samsung Galaxy S2 (yes Exynos) even Sony Stock isnt that bad in terms of its wonderful Stamina Mode wish it got ported over to CyanogenMod/OmniROM (Android L has some new battery saver its okay) anyway I strongly believe our device wont be getting Android L due to the 18 Month crappy support never less I believe Open Source Community will find a way to bring the goodness to our phone *hint* Android L AOSP
If you feel you want to get a new cell/phone I suggest taking time to look around for something like 4GB RAM And Snapdragon 805 Above which I believe may be quite soon maybe around 6months - 1 year also keep a look out for Oppo/One Plus One as it is quite cheap and they team up with Cyanogen to pretty much bring some of the best flagship phone without burning to much $ from your pocket (if you feel you need to replace your phone at once)
I wish I did gotten a one plus one but hey my Xperia Z is Running OmniROM/CyanogenMod what more can I ask for

Anyone know how to enable "quick pulldown" from CyanogenMod to Z3?
I really like CyanogenMod but the Sony OS is also pretty cool. Stamina mode, camera and also the multitasking! Why isn't anyone talking about that?

According to my experience, XZ is still the best Xperia after XZ2.. Z3 still isn't out yet, so i omitted it out.. And the fw's, we had a flawless 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 was decent and 4.4.4 is the best ROM XZ got from Sony.. They have given enough already and about Android L, i suggest keep the device and enjoy AOSP/CM12 or whatever they are gonna name it.. I am sure XDA devs are gonna give it to us.. I am on the process of learning development too, hope to give something to XZ before giving it away.. And i still don't find any reason to give up my XZ and upgrade to XZ2 or XZ3.. My needs are easily fulfilled..

I don't like CyanogenMod tbh and I only like Sony stock roms which is why I'm looking at the Z3 I have had the XZ since launch so you know time for a change

I suggest NOT to buy any of Sony phones because of very many dead displays, buggy firmwares (even 4.4.4 have problems with sound, stamina), high temperature of back panel and the worst service
Sent from my C6603 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

I would prefer sony for the beautiful stock Rom . I got xz as soon as it got released. Now it's only half the price. Next time, I would consider buying a cheaper phone. Xiaomi mi4/mi5

Looking at the past couple years I have found the phones released at the start of the year to be the better products from Sony and the ones released in September to be merely improvements and tweaks.
Also there is the future potential of the 64 bit processors like Snapdragon 810 which are expected to be used in flagship handsets next year as so far only Samsung has used the 805 chip in the Note 4.
Things like 4GB ram are useless in a phone except for professionals that have any use for that from a development standpoint. It is a phone afterall.
The Xperia Z is a great handset and meets all the needs for a smartphone. I am happy to wait longer for the next brilliant device to come along.

KitKat and jelly bean looks better

The Z3 is looking to have over 9hours screen-on battery life..
9 hours!

Android L has the possibility of increasing that number too.. Unless Sony fudges it up
Historicity they seem to give more care and attention to the first few updates.
Battery life is the only major issue I have with my XZ.. I may just pickup a Z2 when the Z3 pushes the prices down though.

Why I chose Sony

My main reasons were the beautiful physical design on the phone but more importantly the software and UX. But recently Punit Soni, Software Product Management at Motorola, went over Motorola’s tenets when it comes to software development on Android and two of them ironically enough described why I like Sony, even though he was talking about Motorola phones. Here's the 2 that stood out:
1. Ensure that we build on a foundation of pure Android
MotoBlur’s long gone. Expect the user interface on all new Motorola Android devices to look and feel like “stock” Android - not far off from a Nexus or a Google Play edition device. Motorola doesn’t want to take over the Android interface.
2. Build experiences that compliment Android and Google services, not compete with them.
I realized after reading this that this is more or less the same direction Sony has chosen to take as well. Good for them! :good:
Why I chose Z1 (Sony)
- Most premium feeling smartphone in my opinion:
The 1 piece aluminum body with glass on front and back looks and feels so premium, also a slightly heavier weighing phone is a big addition to me in this department. I don't like very light phones.
- Sony firmware:
By far the most beautiful UI. Sony theming is really beautiful, the media apps upto settings, home launcher etc everything just fits. It makes vanilla android look boring to be honest.
- Long software support:
Sony doesn't abandons support for phones too fast nowadays, it's great to see how T , TX, V will still receive 4.3 and get a lot of new features.
- Updates which introduce something new every time:
When you receive a major update from Sony (4.2 to 4.3 for example) they always introduce some nice and new features. Most of them aren't even gimmicks like Samsung for example.
- less devs so more fun and challenges for me and other devs

Why I chose Sony...
1. Build Quality
2. Screen ( I actually love it and the viewing angles don't bother Me)
3. Connectivity with the Sony eco system
4. Software. I love their UI
I came from HTC (which I loved) and before that Samsung (which I hated)... And now with Sony I've never been happier!

Why I chose Sony?
1. The Sony convergence. From Bravia, to Cybershot, Walkman, to Playstation, all of the Sony's in-house technologies in the power of one.
2. Build quality. Although I was bothered on my Xperia Arc days when there are a lot of paint chippings on my silver cover,
3. Sony's Android development. Every Android iteration from Sony introduces new (but helpful) features. From ICS (Album, Walkman and Movies integration), to Jelly Bean 4.1 (although Small Apps were introduced post-ICS days of T,TX and V), to 4.2 (new lockscreen and ecosystem), to 4.3 (Xperia themes and Xperia camera),
4. Last but not the least, I started with a Sony Ericsson T68i way back 2003, and I will end (not hopefully the soonest) with Sony
Why I choose Sony?
I don't know. I didn't figure it out yet. I think something is wrong with me!
I love Sony phones. Back 5-6 years ago, we all used Sony Ericsson phones. Everybody was telling me that they have the best camera. My girlfriend still have her Sony Ericsson k800i phone that had the best camera back then. Of course, with Xenon flash!
I chose Sony mobile phones for the main reason that I love the great and unique design. The software interface is also better looking (for me), than the stock Android interface.
For me, right now, Z1 have the best design that I've seen. We'll see in future.
Thanks!

Agree with you. The reasons why I recently switched from a Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N900) to the Sony Xperia Z1 (C6903) are:
Sony's device build quality starting from the Xperia Z are outstanding next only to the iPhone and Nokia Lumia designs
The device designs are not generic and cheap looking
The Sony Software UX is overall pretty good and WAY better than all other manufacturers especially Samsung and their Touchwiz UX. HTC is at par with Sony in Android Land
Plus, Samsung's recent region locking stupidity really tilted the odds against it. And, the nerve of these people to ask for close to US$ 70-80 for removing the lock and the device goes out of warranty once it is done. WTF? I bought the device and it's not subsidised by any carrier and I travel to different regions!!!! None of this is applicable to other manufacturers.
So, I guess the current best in terms of specs, handling and design and UX in android land is definitely the Xperia Z1. Followed by Z Ultra and HTC One (if we discount the Snapdragon 600).
Proud owner of Xperia Z1!
Camera, design and Software.
Camera - the best camera on any Android Smartphone if you give it a try.
Design - It's just beautiful
Software - No software gimmicks. Media apps are just awesome.
Well, I had to choose Sony since I lost my Galaxy Note 3 yesterday, and the Xperia Z1 was the best camera phone available (and it was cheap second-hand). Just bought it a few hours back, and I quite like the software's looks and performance. I hate the display though, it's so much behind compared to other flagships (viewing angles do matter to me, and Sony's displays just go bad in an instant at even small angles, I also don't like Sony isn't using Gorilla Glass), though it does look good when viewed straight. The camera isn't exactly great either (the Note 3's 13MP photos were better in that there was lots of detail in outdoor photos and very little to no noise) but it's certainly there at the top.
Hoping to stick it out with the Xperia Z1 for the months to come, let's see how it goes (I do love that Sony gives long support for updates, though I hope KitKat will come soon as it has on the competition's devices.)
Oh, and I also like the fact that Sony has brought back some amazingly useful things that manufacturers have forgotten in their quest to copy Apple and make things as inconvenient as possible, like a slot for a lanyard and the camera shutter button. Seriously, it's amazingly sad how these things have been ignored, especially the lanyard slot which makes protecting your phone while in use so much easier!
Just started using Z1 and i was on Samsung phone for many year. Never to buy Samsung in future. Looking for phone with water resistance, lanyards and the camera button so I choose Sony. It was outstanding among all other brands. I can upgrade/downgrade the software without problems. Well designed and came with 3000mah battery which can last me at lease 8 hours of heavy used, S4 only last me less then 5 hours. Now I rooted it with dual recovery and never gave me flash counter/know warranty void problems like Samsung phone . With xpose framework and gravity box, which made it very useful and enjoy! Cheers.

my Sg device: Z1 rooted136 ROM by NUT with 2.7.86 dualrecovery, mod by GavityBox 2.9.6. Samsung S2 standby for Z1 when Z1 no power.
I probably have the simplest reason:
It was the only phone in current gen with quad core, great camera, enough ram, AND MICRO SD!
So I had an XZ and I loved it to death. Unfortunately the screen cracked, but I carried it to a repair guy, who repaired the screen...but damaged other stuff in the process -_-. He gave me a new Samsung S4 in replacement of my XZ....I was disappointed...the S4 was just not what I was used to in a Sony phone. Reading this thread encouraged me to sell that S4 plastic mess and I got my XZ1 yesterday....
1. The appearance of this phone...just sheer beauty, I have the white one. Was in town with it and people were just staring lol
2. The feel of it is like what people describe as "premium", but that word just doesn't justify the feel of this phone in my hand...have to make up another word for this.
3. The smoothness, speed and beauty of the UI is incredible. Every time I pick up my phone and use it I feel refreshed.
4. A freaking phone made me emotional!!!....

I actually understand it though. I've ordered myself an Xperia Z1 today and I can't wait to see how much of an upgrade it really is from my current Xperia S. I'm far from rich, but I really love Sony devices and the Xperia S just can't keep up with me. I figured I'd be able to afford it if I wouldn't buy anything else in the coming two years anymore :fingers-crossed:

The perfect smartphone?

I have been a long time android user and have changed a dozen smart phones from HTC to Samsung to Lg, etc(not a fanboy of any) in the past few years.. While impressive, each phone had one major short coming( HTC one's camera, s4s build quality etc)..
I decided to give Sony a try with the z2 a week ago, and have been thoroughly impressed by this phone. Everything on the z2 is top notch(screen, camera, battery life, build, speakers, water proof, SD card support, lag free ui)...
I can't understand why z2 is not a popular device in the market? Everyone I know uses s5 or m8 or iphone.. Is it due to the lack of marketing by Sony?
It kinda is lack of marketing although the z2 was sponsored by the world cup so it should be widely known.
But your right everywhere I go for some reason I'd be the only one with a sony z2. Soo many people will have never heard of this thing it's strange.
However I really don't mind this because this means we have a unique phone. We know its a damn good phone and we keep it that way. it's others that will be missing out on something special.
Hopefully your screen doesn't crack on its own like 100 of others.
I have my Z2 for one month and half now, and i used to change like every month my phone... I can't tell you that i'm fully satisfied with this phone ! It has everything i request from a smartphone.
The only one thing i'm missing is a bigger screen.. Coming from Note 3 (5.7"), Sony Xperia Z Ultra (6.4"), Huawei Mediapad X1 (7")... It's quite hard for me sometimes to enjoy at the screen easily...
So i was really disappointed when Sony shown his Z3 series instead of a new Z Ultra with the same quality from the Z2
Let's hope devs will succeed to port some news stuff from Z3 to our Z2 !
Im also womdering of the whereabouts of Z2 even Sony old flagships. Even on reviews they barely mention or compare sony.

The Z2 is the closest thing to a "perfect" phone I've come across so far. However, the simple fact of the matter is, it's just too big. That is its one major flaw.
Fortunately, the Z3 Compact looks like the perfect phone (for me, at least). Looking forward to selling my Z2 and picking up the Z3 Compact, as it will combine all the great features of the Z2 with the smaller size I'm looking for.
I do wish the Z3 Compact had 3 gigs of RAM like the Z2/Z3, but I guess I can live without that extra RAM.

Sony problem is less advertising than for example Samsung. (I respect htc but i don't like it cause they try to be iphone of android world! in my opinion)
+ huge ignorance of users...!
i m talking about what people thought about Xperia Z display quality and after that Z1
there were lots of rumor (for me non of them true!) that people always asking about them here in xda and other forums
for example
(with my old account on xda) i made a thread about Sudden Death of Xperia Z. After few weeks Sony solved that problem with firmware update. But after ~2yrs people check that forum and post something !!!
I mean they read rumors and believe but never try to read more technical.
for Galaxy S4 i remember that show with music, dancing and ..... from Samsung !!! (i did hate that!)
But Sony made a conference introduced Xperia Z and its features + technical info >> The End!
so eyes of normal users won't turn to Sony from Samsung
:good:
The purple z2 is the most beautiful thing ever, this phone has it all, I haven't found any flaws yet.
Its just perfection

Yeah, it's a good phone, but a sold it month ago and bought OnePlus One. I don't like lack of development for Z2 And being flas-a-holic, I always need new ROMs to try ) And here nothing new in weeks.... Development for OnePlus One is waaaaay better, just like on Nexus devices.
But camera on Z2 is superb. With this camera I was able to get such a good photos that many people commented like "Wow! It was shot on a professional camera or edited heavily in Photoshop?"

Well... I would say 1,5 days. I wake up at 6 AM, and when I go to sleep (around 11 PM), battery is at 40-50%. That's around 2,5 hours screen on time...
It's surely worse than Xperia Z2 in terms of battery, but for me this is 100% enough. And what's even better - Cyanogen team always developing new ways to improve battery life on OPO by optimizing settings.
i used to switch phones every 2-3 mths .. from iphone to nokia, to android, blah blah blah, you get the idea.
But this android phone is the only phone which i don really have anything to complain about. (other than the magnetic port that came out after 2 weeks of use. but its rock solid now after coming out of sony service centre)
yeah, i flash alot when i was on HTC or samsung. but i just did a root on z2 and i am 100% satisfied! i don't see a need to flash custom when everything is working so fine. love the build, the camera and esp the battery life on this baby!

same here! after rooting the Z2 I don't see the need to flash custom roms when everything's running so smoothly, only mods I've flashed through recovery are the olokos Z2 soundmod and Viper4Android, those two alone made this phone into a musical beast and occasionally I change the system's font using the iFont app

It's time to say goodbye my friends! :(

After all thease months, after all good and bad moments it's time to say goodbye and move on to my next device.
I bought LG G3 couple of weeks ago and today I'm selling my Xperia Z. It's so hard to move on because Xperia Z reminds me on true legend, Xperia X10i. It's such a great device to have. In fact , after using G3 for couple of weeks I'm so disappointed with this device (laggy software, not so great build quality) so I'll probably sell it and buy a real device, Xperia device (Z2 or Z3).
I'm gonna miss this forum so much, I'm gonna miss all You guys. Good luck and take care! :good:
So, the G3 isn't great then? I'm looking at getting a new device next month and it was a possibility, as reviews seem to be all positive. The Z3 is also on my list along with the N6.
I'm leaning towards the N6 because of ease of root etc and the huge development support that comes with the Nexus devices, but I'll see closer to the time as Sony has established itself as my current best Android OEM because of the great experience I've had with the Z.
Anyway, good luck for the future and I'm sure I'll see you around.

LG G3 has beautiful display, one of the best out there, but 1440 x 2560 res is unnecessary because you can't see the difference between fullHD and this with naked eye. Camera is ok but not breathtaking (I think that LG use Sony 13 mpx module), Lollipop ROM is laggy, signal strength is lower than on other devices. Battery life is ok but not great, double tap to lock/unlock function is fantastic. If you look for development support I can't recommend you this phone, at least for now. On the other side I tested Xperia Z3 last week. Fantastic device, great looking, screen is beautiful, stock rom is fast and smooth, build quality is excellent. Battery life is insane, nice speakers, and camera is fantastic. I'm so in love with that phone man, I hope that Z3 is my next phone. And thanks for nice words.
I had a real bad experience with an LG device. The Optimus 2X was released with a lot of publicity as the first dual core Android phone and then abandoned with buggy software and only 2 updates in 2 years. I promised myself never to buy from them again, but the G3 was tempting me. Hearing your thoughts has put me off again!
So, Z3 or N6 it is probably.
Hope to see you around on the forums if I get a Z3.
Cheers.

Yeah, you never knew if the thing would be unresponsive when you picked it up to use it. The stock rom was woeful as well. The only reason I didn't trash it was because of the great developer support and custom roms.

MWC isn't THAT far away, and if the Z4 is announced then expect a Z3 price drop. The upgrades for the Z4 won't be game changers - an 810 with a better GPU, a slightly nicer display that may well be QHD, improvements to the camera I expect. With the amount of time people use their phones nowadays, battery life simply must improve. And with rumours that the actual Sony imaging department will handle the image processing, maybe the Z4 will get a stand-out camera. I really hope the RAW API's will be implemented by Sony. I'm looking at an upgrade too, maybe a Oneplus Two, or if they make a Nexus 5 2015 edition I'd bite. The Xperia Z was my first smartphone and I'd like to try other android devices.
Have any of you guys seen the new ASUS ZenFone that's to be released in March? It looks like an absolute animal of a phone and I'm very tempted to snap one up as soon as preorders are available because of its fantastic price and even better spec to follow, but I'm worried about the developer support as there hasn't really been a great deal of support for ASUS' previous ZenFone generations, do you guys think that the price would pull more developers in?

It looks like an absolute animal of a phone and I'm very tempted to snap one up as soon as preorders are available because of its fantastic price and even better spec to follow, but I'm worried about the developer support as there hasn't really been a great deal of support for ASUS' previous ZenFone generations, do you guys think that the price would pull more developers in?

Is that the one with the Intel processor? Yikes, as far as I know, developer support on those devices is nowhere near the level of your standard Snapdragon phones. Exynos processors in Samsung's are very common and even those are shunnes., with developers working on Snapdragons instead.
Quad HD sounds nice on paper but it doesn't bring any visual differences that your eyes can detect. Except the low battery indicator flashing more frequently?

I have used a LG G3 for more than a while.. I couldn't see anything wrong with it on KK.. Compared its display with a Z3 and saw the difference in detail and also under sunlight it seemed better than Z3.. Ofc 2k comes into play as well.. So it would be wrong to compare. Also the gestures are nice on any high end LG phone which Xperia's miss officially.. And battery life on G3 is amazing for the h/w it has.. I hardly saw a hiccup even the LG UI.. Camera is decent(Probably same as XZ).. Atleast it seemed the same when i compared my XZ cam with it.. G3 is a beast phone and i think their LP fw update might be buggy since its just initial update.. Ofc u have to wait for another 1 or 2 bug fixing updates to experience the best of LP on any phone for that matter..

I agree with you, but I sold it yesterday anyway. I ordered Z2 this morning and that's my next phone. Cheers.

Hi
What's Google's policy regarding transferring paid for apps from one phone to another? Can they be shared on 2 phones?

You just have to sign in on the other device. I have a couple of phones and a tablet on the same Google account and can use paid apps on all of them with no issues.

We don't really need a new thread for everyone who leaves to another device. If you already have a thread you can post it there, but a new thread isn't needed.

Why did you choose Sony Xperia?

for me, because i love my Sony PS4:good: ... kindda ' love her, love her dog'
I believe i'm not the only one person LOL
I've followed Sony Ericsson since the k810 days after jumping from Nokia and wouldn't have anything else ? I now have a range of devices had every Sony SmartWatch, ps3, ps4, srs-x11 speaker, bluray player

First I have seen and use the products of Sony company. The best thing about Sony Xperia smartphone is its sound and It's look, which I like most. It runs on latest version of Android 6.0 (also known as Android M or Marshmallow).
Not that marshmallow is available just yet officially for the Z5

Hmmmm....? Marshmallow?
Personally I just fancied a change after having the nexus 5 and the 5X didn't seem like a worth while upgrade to me. With a decent case and tempered glass and it's waterproofing it's pretty solid and unbreakable and has a good specification

I needed something to replace my broken Nexus 5 and I chose the Z5 over the S6 because of Exynos' proprietary BS.
Just a good phone
I had an original Xperia Z as I liked the square design, and was impressed with the stamina mode and the self healing metallic bumper around the phone. I also liked with waterproof functionality and have used the phone in pools to take video and photos. I also use it as a GPS on my motorbike which also benefits from the waterproof functionality.
I have recommended the Xperia range to a few friends, and those who have tried it love the power of the compact series, the battery life, and are now Sony converts!!! So it's not only my experience, but also that of others.
The new Z5 was the latest available after my 2 year lock-in, and I'm happy again with the device.
SD card slot.
I've had Apple, LG, OnePlus, Samsung and HTC devices in the past. I wanted to try something new
The phone design, near-stock Android experience and SD card reader helped too.
I'm pretty happy with my Z5 so far... but a little bit less impressed by how long it takes to get Marshmallow...
I just love the design of sony, exceptionally different from other smartphones. Waterproofing is one more thing to add...
seems that lots us Nexus 5 owners jumped to Z5 as the next logical choice
SD800 is still a beast and anything more isn't gonna show any difference in normal daily use. so I looked for the most features to get for my next mobile, Dust/Water proof + Fingerprint sensor seemed like the best combo for my next phone.

This time because the Samsung edge + did not have micro SD slot, and the Z5P wasn't available
so much things...
-I really love ergonomic Xperia Design
-Water and sand resistance
-Humidity resistance
-SD card slot
and the most important for me:
**I hate when camera is out of the body**
Expandable memory is the main reason. I also thought that because the Z5 launched a while later that it would be better than the S6 but reality was in fact the opposite.
Oh well still happy with it, it does look really nice and gets a lot of heads turning. I just hope that we can get better GPU drivers because its seriously hampering my gaming.
Honestly, I got it because I was sick of huge phones and generic look of Samsung. Had a Note 4, can't believe the difference of half an inch is that good. My wife has the S6 Edge, it's nice and the gimmick can get newcomers. We can name and list all those specs, but I seriously love the basic simple ui Sony offered. Don't like the Sony extra, but hey it's their branded phone and I'll get rid of that stuff on my own. Other than that I'm more than happy. Don't think I'll be looking at Samsung any time soon.
Been with Sony since W810. Started Xperia's with X1. Have tried other brands but keep coming back to Sony.
Same with the other comments the design is so good and it's has waterproof unlike the other phone it doesn't have waterproof.
Waterproof, supposedly great camera which could improve, not-too-bad battery life, and very importantly firmware upgrade. (sony is doing great compared with many other brands who dropped support only a year after releasing the phone. My previous sony xperia zr is still receiving system update!!!)

I have used only Samsung till now (S2; S4; Note 2; S6edge and Note 4). Nevertheless removing SDcard and very weak battery in S6 make me to change smartphone. Now I use black Sony Xperia Z5 and I'm very happy with it. It's so cool and elegant
In Z5 I like:
- waterproof
- great design and quality (Samsung has to learn from Sony). Z5 looks so elegant.
- great camera
- UI - light but with many functions
- very good and bright screen with lots of options to config
- I have PS and Sony TV too
I have had my Z5 for about 3 days now and I love it
I will probably never go back to Samsung or something else if only Sony still will make such great phones.
First I bought a xperia s to be on sale and just fell in love. after that, just bought Sony by making sure the competition does not do better than Sony. I had the xperia Z1 and am currently with the Z5.

Bye! Bye! Xperia SP.

This thread is just to put the views of people who have stopped using Xperia SP and bought a new phone. Present your experience about the SP below.
Xperia sp just never old ever because of amazing devs We taste Marshmallow and very soon we tast nougat

Current phone: LG G4
I have bought Xperia SP somewhere around may 2013 and used it till april 2016. So I have used this device for around 3 yrs.
During the year 2013, X-SP was the most powerful midranger device(defeated Nexus 4 & even X-Z in benchmarks). The LED light strip was so awesome that I instantly felt in love with it. When it comes to display, it was an TFT display which neither excite me neither disappoint me. Camera was just an average.
On android 4.1 Jelly bean:
Xperia SP was initially released with Android 4.1. It was fast & fluid & never ever lagged. Being an ex-Samsung user I knew how really important it was. But this firmware had wifi problems(weak reception) which can be fixed. I was satisfied with my purchase.
On android 4.3 Jelly bean:
It was a lot more fluid than 4.1 & it also fixed the wifi issue. The firmware added 3rd party theme support(appart from 5 or 7 stock themes). It also added camera add-ons such as AR effects, Time shift burst, etc. Initially it felt an awesome upgrade but later on I realised the RAM management is really really poor with 4.3.
On android 5.1 & 6.0:
I never used Kitkat on X-SP so I will be skipping it. As such kitkat for X-SP was planned but Sony dropped it & ended the support. This was the time when I was really frustrated as how sony can end the support for us with the buggy 4.3. But since we are on xda, it doesnt really matter anymore.
Xperia SP was blessed with a new life thanks to @Adrian DC & @Mrcl1450 (and many more). Android 5.1 & 6.0 had really improved the user experience. I am absolutely satisfied and grateful to all X-SP developers.
Thank You!

HelloXperia SP!
Hello, Xperia SP!
My one have been left aside for 1 year, cause I excluded kind os a system element, so that I couldn't even recharge it. The matter was that, i couldn't recover it using Sony Companion, cause the USB was not in use!
Well, i earned a Samsung (meh) and of course, it wasn't so good as my beloved SP. During a frustrated experience on installing a stock room in this Galaxy, suddenly, I thought: Why wouldn't I try to charge the SP? And there it was, the red light!!! So I could Recover it and I'm using it againnnn 3 days from now. I know the resources of the phone are a little bit outdated, but who cares? Actually, me. I'm trying to learn how to go on Lollipop or Marshmallow. But that's it. After an year suffering with a Nokia and before I'd suffer with a Samsung, God answered the prayers xD
Actually, I'm in Brazil, so I'm a little disappointed within the downgrade of Sony's cost benefit around here. ): But I'm still a fan! It's a pitty that I assume that. Because there are no more strong reasons for defending Sony's flag, nowadays ):
