That facebook group doesn't seem official and moreover its useless full of ppl who are just asking stupid que (no offence)
if the sorry excuse of a company releases proper documentation and kernel sources and drivers development will happpen.
and they can approach some of the top devs them selves.

Hi guys, i have General Mobile Discovery Elite, it's Gionee Elife E7's Turkish version, General Mobile just puts company logo on the phone, so my question is, if i install a custom rom for Gionee Elife E7 on my phone will it work or will it have any problems about IMEI number stuff just because mine is another country's?

It should work without any issues. But can't say with 100%. Try it yourself. Just make a backup before.

Zte grand s2 s251, indian 3g version with snapdragon 800 and 2gb of ram is similarly specd lyk gionee elife e7 and also stuck in android 4.2 . unlike gionee elife e7 we do not have any development in xda. As the devices are similar will any of the dev here be intrested in taking a look at our device and hopefully port something to it, we dont evn have a custom recovery.

Provide me a boot image of your device and I can build a recovery for it..
Also, do you have root access? If yes, see if you can find a file called config.gz in /proc/
i.e., give me /proc/config.gz
That will help determine if your device is indeed close to E7..

I know it's too late since your last post. But now only I happened to see this and yes we are still in search of a custom recovery. Here is the link to download the boot image. Ours is a CDMA cum GSM single sim phone. Also memory card slot is there, cam is 13MP/5MP and no fingerprint sensor.
