US Pricing - Note Edge General

What does everyone think the US pricing will be?
The Note 4 off contract on the US carriers range from $750 to $850
I am thinking the Edge will be over $900 off contract.

I don't know but 900 sounds right, I will do a contract just hope the price is not too crazy on contract.

The Note II and Note 3 were both $699.99 off contract.
I expect the Note 4 will follow suit. I know through the Edge program it comes out to $826, but I'm still betting on $699.99.
As for the Edge, I'd guess either $799.99 or maybe $849.99.
Anything more than that and I think they price themselves out.

http://www.cnet.com/news/galaxy-note-4-launch-date-set-for-oct-17-preorders-start-tomorrow/
Based on T-Mobile's off-contract price being $749.76, I figure it shouldn't be more than $950. However, just looking at that number looks pricey, so I figure $899.99 .

Verizon is $699.99 full retail:

This is in line with every other Note. The Developer Edition will likely be the same from Samsung.
I'm hoping the Edge will be $100 more :good:

Verizon has it for $700 full price but AT&T has it for $825 full price. A whole $125 more, WTF!

Goodnews/Badnews ?
It looks like the Galaxy Note Edge will go on sale November 5(Australia), but for a whopping $1249! :

That's insanity. $200 at the VERY most, but I doubt even that would get any buyers.. $100 max increase.

I agree.
Edge should be $899 at the most on the US Carriers.
Anything over will be way too high for people to stomach.
Samsung did come out today and say the Edge will be a "limited edition concept release" so who knows. They might
say concept phone and price it over $1000

Why the panic. That's obviously some crazy introductory early-bird markup that can happen when demand outweighs supply for the first few days. I mean look at the Note 4 price in that same article for $949 . Even if you extrapolate prices based on this article the Edge will probably still be under $900 when it comes to US and Europe.

Unlimited promotion

I noticed last night while I was paying my bill using 611 that T-Mobile (and I'm assuming that most of you have T-Mobile since this is the G1 thread) is having a promotion for unlimited minutes for $49.99 a month (plus taxes of course) and even better... there was no contract extension! It's also on T-Mobile's website listed as Unlimited Loyalty Plan.

The rep had to place me on hold for a good 5 minutes to look everything up and he sounded like it was market specific. But it can't hurt to look!
For those that are wondering I live in the San Francisco Bay Area but I am not certain what "Market" that applies to. Could be just the Bay Area... could be all of California... could be the entire west coast. But it can't hurt to look into it. Also there may be other qualifying prerequisites to be eligible. Since this is a "Loyalty" plan I am assuming that you must be a long time customer. As for myself, I have been a customer for 7 years.
I have also dug a little deeper and saw this information about it.
So check it out!
Yep.
If I can recall right, this offer will be nationwide (across the US) March 1st.
It includes 1 line of unlimited minutes ($49.99) and I think 2 lines at $89.99.
Worth a shot if your on a single line. Doesn't make sense otherwise, imo.

Do you know if this deal will apply to flex-pay customers as well?
@HayWire,
I'm not sure, but I'm leaning to think no.
Again, if I can recall correctly, the plan for unlimited minutes is for those that have a specific amount of minutes each month (eg 1000 mins for 69.99/mo, or 500mins for 59.99/mo)
I'll find out and let you know.
This is only for San Francisco Market now, From what I was told. No contract and depending on popularity it may go nation wide. Oh rep said if you have an account in SF and port in a number from other carrier you get a credit of $135.00 to your account.
T-mobile is making all kinds of changes then cuz my gf just bought that samsung behold & they told her she has the option to pay for it straight up or over the next 4 months. They may not be getting it with the G1 (maybe thats google's fault tho) but they are making some heavy changes with all this. Its all good in my book tho

Rogers is also coming out with its own flavour of Samsung Galaxy S II LTE

Rogers is also coming out with its own flavour of the SGS2
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17943455
but it looks much more like the SGS2 Hercules from T-mobile/Telus than the real LTE from Korea

Spec as per Roger's site:
- AWS for connectivity on the Rogers LTE network
- Tri-band HSPA+/Quad-band EDGE for connectivity on the Rogers 4G HSPA+ network and international roaming
- Dual-core 1.5 GHz processor
- 4.5” WVGA Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen (480x800)
- Android 2.3 operating system
- 1GB RAM; 16GB internal memory
- 8MP rear camera with flash, 2MP front facing camera
- $199.99 with a 3-year hardware discount agreement ($649.99 No-term)
Real oddball, it has the "Samsung Galaxy S II Epic Touch Me There Galaxy, Touch My 4G-spot, Yes Yes YES!" housing, it has the SoC from the T-Mobile variant, and an LTE modem all its own.
suddenly the SGS2 section seems to be going to be a lot more busier with all the influx of these sub models

Is that correct, 3 year contract? Two years is long enough, no way on earth I would sign up for a 3 year deal. That has to be a typo.

Unfortunately no it's not a typo. Here in Canada if you want to save money on a contract, 3 years is the only option. The 2 year contract price is $549!
Another model with the inferior SoC. What a joke

Samsung Galaxy Nexus ad says it will hit Verizon on November 29, to cost $199.99

Samsung Galaxy Nexus ad says it will hit Verizon on November 29, to cost $199.99
Nobody is really sure what it means at the moment, but we definitely know the ad showing the Verizon Galaxy Nexus for $199.99 is real. As in, It's not fake since it's showing up on Android sites across the web (we've spotted it here at AP, at Phandroid, and DroidForums to name a few). These ads are run by NetShelter, which is a premium advertising network that deals directly with carriers and manufacturers and does not mess around - we know them all too well.
Clicking Learn More goes to this page that doesn't list the Galaxy Nexus, so either someone pressed the Launch button a bit too early or the ad was scheduled ahead of time and someone forgot to postpone it due to all the recent delays. One thing stands out, however - $199.99 is about $100 cheaper than we thought the Nexus would go for. Of course, it may be a holiday promotion, but hey - we'll take it.

Note the tag "cmp=BAC-OM-111129-HOLIDAYSAMSUNG" in the Learn More url, which seems to point at a mysterious 11/29 date. Could it be the date the sale will go online? In that case, we're definitely seeing it prematurely.

That's a pretty damn good deal. Hopefully it's true!
Sounds great, this will be much easier to justify, hopefully amazon does it for 1cent.

That will probably be for the 16 GB version. $299 will be for the 32 GB version.

That seems more realistic.
Unless, Verizon wants to bet Google how much better they can sell the Nexus phones, to make them the only retailer to carry it...

I thought it was already determined the 32gb version was the US LTE version? Then again...everything about this phone is rumored.

I agree, especially if this info is any indicator. The page previously had storage listed as 16GB, but has since changed it to 32GB.
So, I think it's a good chance that $199 may hold up.

30 Motorola Backflips. bid's at $490 now. ends tomorrow (4/23) at 3:33 EST.
since it comes out to roughly $16 each, you could either sell them for like $30-50 to teenagers (that'd be my choice) or whatever you want with them.
It has CM7 support, so it's not COMPLETELY useless...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-30-Motorola-BACKFLIP-FLIP-AT-T-cell-phone-/130681791204?pt=Cell_Phones&hash=item1e6d3de2e4#ht_1290wt_1037
ill yours off for 20
thanks but no thanks.
holding out til August when i switch to an individual phone plan and get whatever great at&t phone's out (SGS3 most likely)
Keep in mind the seller warns you that some phones may not work and are untested. So it could be a hit or miss..
Why would you buy such an old phone, let alone 30 of them? This was a terrible, terrible phone.
Really what hes selling them for is what theyre worth. Motorola had tons of phones that where complete failures. This was one.

I had this phone 3 times. Not bad used it as a backup backup backup phone. Cm7 was reliable but i just liked it for the form factor. Pretty much was a FFC phone before its time.
Sucks for who ever ended up buying/bidding $1080.. $36 bucks on phones that might not even work.
Jesus Christ they sell for so little each. Look at these bids: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motorola-Ba...ps=63&clkid=7935913998055563961#ht_500wt_1156
They still sell these in Australia for $400 minimum. God I need to eBay more!
^don't. just don't... even an Optimus One is better
They obviously have value somewhere. Doubt someone would have paid that much for the hell of it.
I thought I was going to pay $490 to see someone perform 30 back flips consecutively.
You can easily sale a BACKFLIP for $100 they will make their money back plus more.

Right, I was worried it was going to be 1000 and 5 hundred on contract.. but 4 bills isnt to bad for a limited edition phone. I just got an internal email from sprint. Im an employee, repost is prohibited. And it is confirmed that they will be releasing on the 14th.
