xposed modules - G3 General

what xposed modules are safe and will not cause the device to go in to loop.
im new to anroid and rooting and dont want to put my device in a loop.
any safe modules?

G3 Tweaksbox is safe, never had a problem with it. Offers alot of features too.
I'm also using the Greenify module, no issues.
Running Xposed Torch, replaced the volume up shortcut to a torch instead of QuickMemo. Also safe, no issues.

It would vary for everyone, since we all have different apps.
Pretty much I greenify any app that I don't rely on the notifications. For example I use Facebook messenger alot so I don't greenify that. However I don't need to see Facebook notifications as soon as they come so I greenify FB
I also just greenified any system app that I thought would be safe, and took the same approach as with regular apps. Greenified apps like maps, google search, chrome, hangouts and pretty much all the G3 apps including update centre and app updates.

Just installed "Mobile Disconnect" and not a single ad yet this should improve battery life and mobile data too

Hello !
nfclockscreeof enabler - works with your phone ? Me it doesn't work (D855 v10h).

Xposed just causes my phone to randomly reboot.

Has anyone noticed any performance issues or lag when using xposed?

For me it worked, at least I really thought it did, with the previous T-Mobile 10c rom. Since updating, or before if I'm just remembering wrong, it has not worked. I only tested the "screen on and locked" not screen off, and I really thought it worked at least once from the lockscreen.

For those who suffer reboots using xposed I found that both xutilities and xblast modules caused mine, after removing these the phone worked normally. Hope this helps.

Xposed shouldn't cause any performance issues, but it's possible some modules might.

[Q] 180 degree rotation

I really need this option for when I am using my phone as a satnav. I have tried all the suggested solutions but haven't found one that works other than using CM10.2 or one of its variants, but I actually prefer running a GE rom. Has anyone found a way of having 180 degree and autorotation?
Thanks

Ok, for anyone interested, I have found the solution.
lnstall Xposed framework and then install Wanams Xposed mod and you can enable 180 degree rotation from there.
Perfect.

Wannam xposed or even nottached is good.....if you want the rotation only on specific apps....you can play around with an xposed module called app settings....where per app dpi can be achieved as well as rotation features and others...good luck

Ultimate Rotation from PlayStore works great on any setup and has per app settings.

[Info] Xposed works fine

Just to let you know.
I rooted my X and installed TWRP.
Then I followed Guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/guide-installing-xposed-framework-stock-t3192957
choosed V78-sdk22-arm
Works fine at least with the modules I checked.
There seems to be one issue with X-Privacy. Stopping the APP after changing restrictions seems to be not enough. Sometimes the changes applied until reboot.
With App-Settings I found something similar.
Concerning GravityBox on my OnePlus X, it seems that some options do not work even if there is no error message or so...
For example : coloring icons in the notification bar, and disabling secure sound level has no effect for me.
Also, some additional options added in the notification bar do not show their icons...
Did someone also noticed this?

Gravitybox is designed to work perfectly only with AOSP or AOSP like ROMs. The creators themselves have claimed that it doesnt work perfectly even on CM ROMs. So its no surprise here.
That being said, i still do use Gravitybox on my OPX without issues, albeit i have activated only a bare minimum of tweaks.

Does Pie control from gravitybox work? I've used the one in SlimKat and later resurrection remix and really like how it looks and functions and it's the only missing feature of Oneplus X for me.
Most of the modules work fine but Device Faker made my oneplus x do a bootloop! I had to flash the rom

Hey guys,
I am using XPrivacy but it is not working properly. Every time I start it a massage pops up saying internal check failed. Also when I set some restrictions to apps they do not work. Any idea what that might be?
@Phoost
Seems like your XPrivacy has problems, too. Have you been able to fix that?
Yes but it's minor. Ignore message and changes apply after restart.
@Phoost and @sexier : are you able to use the on demand feature?
For me, I also get the XPrivacy startup error message, but I get no on demand popups, and so.
In fact, I did some tests, and XPrivacy doesn't seem to work at all.
Other modules are working perfectly fine.
I did open an issue on the XPrivacy's github and trying to figure it out with the devs, but no luck so far :/
Please free to contribute if you have any insights!

"on demand" means asking to approve permission on the fly?
I never used this. I predefine all permission after installation.
I disabled Identification for "Protected App" - > no more pro
I disabled location for GPS Test - > no location
I disabled Internet for Opera - > still loads websites :crying:
So works for some but not all.
Which framework version you are using? V78?
Maybe the old one ist better.

Yes! That’s exactly the same problem that I have. No pop-ups or on-demand rules work. The ones that are marked with a “?".
I am still running an older version of XPosed v75. I did not have the time to make an update yet. On my other phones XPrivacy runs perfectly with v75. I guess an old version doesn’t really help then.
Bad. Hope dev's find something.

Or create yours if your problem isn't the same.
There are too few OPX users feedbacks on it, need more
Thanks for reporting this.
I add two comments to the thread.
Yep, I saw
Let see if the dev can figure it out. Else I'll switch to CM12.1 as soon as it'll be officialy available.
At least, we know that's a base on which xposed and xprivacy are proved to be working!
I'm starting to think that the way the apps permissions works in OxygenOS, is just messing with xprivacy.

pixel fingerprint features

Has anyone tried the Pixel fingerprint sensor features on the a2017u?
Yup it works nicely. Using it to turn the screen off ?
Remember to disable power management policies on the app
I'm using it. Works good, I use it to pull the notifications down.
What about battery consumption ???

It has almost no impact on battery. Very well optimized app.
The newest Gravity Box update also includes fingerprint launcher functionality now for everyone who wants to have more possible options to choose from.

[HELP] Standby stopping notifications in Nougat

I am using the latest version of Android, with the June 2017 security patch (my device is G4 Plus XT1640) rooted with magisk and xposed (just the module of the gravity box, and in magisk the viper4android module).
But something happens that bothers a lot, and this happens in the android since the early versions of its existence, which is the problem of interrupting the notifications after a time in standby (something that iOS never seen happen)
In my case, I wanted notifications of specific apps not to be interrupted (like WhatsApp, Instagram, Google+, etc.) but that's not the case, I know in version 7.0 Nougat, it has the battery optimization feature, where it manages to suspend application activities while it is in standby (or deep sleep), however, I deactivated battery optimization in applications that I wish not to be suspended, but it continues to suspend.
It may be until the system is not suspending the application, but the connectivity (in the case Wi-Fi) however in the Wi-Fi network settings I enabled it to not be suspended for inactivity, but even so I do not get notifications applications. I got to perform a test by sending a message on whatsapp to me after 20 minutes on standby, and it shows only one check instead of two check, when I unlock the screen, and open the application, the notifications appears all at once.
Is there a way (without requiring root resources or xposed modules) to resolve this problem? (Or is the solution only with root and xposed features?)
@AzuosDX I would recommend to uninstall Gravity Box and make sure you don't run applications like greenify or other doze apps like amplify. Please test again.

Well, the problem is that I can not go without using the features of the Gravity Box, because in it I use the resources of:
(Note: I did the test without the Gravity Box, and the delay stays the same)
* Modify the status bar (center the clock)
* Enable the download and upload consumption counter
* Customize navigation bar buttons (example: open WhatsApp with two touch, open the application drawer by holding the button, and etc.)
the Gravity Box I only use these features, and they do not directly affect the applications installed on the system, and I do not use any hibernation application, and even then I would not have them interfere if I enable specific apps to not be hibernated (just like I mentioned in the battery optimization part)
I think it's a problem in Kernel optimization apps, because I installed HEBF (an app that "promises" improved battery consumption, stability, smoothness in the system, etc.). And another app that is L-Speed, when I was using HEBF, I actually did some tests and I noticed that it does not interfere with the delay of notifications, but L-Speed is another story because after analyzing the application thoroughly, it can delay writes on the system, modify parts of the kernel responsible in standby (Kernel Sleepers) among other things.
The question is whether anyone else could use this same application to know if it really is the problem, because if other devices do not, then my device might be a combination of factors that lead to delay in notifications ( for example: Root + Xposed + L-Speed or Magisk + Xposed + L-Speed or HEBF + L-Speed and etc.)
I think I will reinstall the System Stock again, do everything like this now, but without using the L-Speed and HEBF customizations, and analyze if they really are the problem.
But is there any application that keeps other specific applications awake within the system? without hibernating them, or suspending them?
.

My s6 'setup'!

Hi, i want show the perfect setup for me for my old S6.
First of all, i want to begin with the rom. I am using the Resurrection Remix Oreo Ver 6.1.0. Rooted with Magisk v 16.
I have made a lot of changes in settings like to use the fingerprint immediately after a reboot or i have transfer the clock to the left and many more.
But the most important for me are the Magisk Modules. I am using Youtube Vanced, RR Low InCall Volume Fix, RAM management fixes bt crok, Pixel Experience, Google Face Unlock, Debloater (Terminal Emulator) and Android P DP3 Emojis.
Also, i am using Xposed Modules: Android P-ify, Flat Style Keyboard, ForceDarkModeOreo, I Said OFF!, MinMinGuard, NoOverlayWarning, P Animations and Screenshot Delay Remover - Mod.
I have removed the Messages stock and i have installed Google's Messages, also i have removed the stock Camera and i have download a miniuser123 GCam, removed the Files App and installed Google's Files Go, same with the music app i have installed Music Play. I have also flashed Product Sans font and installed Google's Pixel 2 XL live wallpapers. For icons i am using O8.
I have replaced the volume slider with the Android's P Volume Slider.
Please suggest me other "tweaks" that i can use to make my phone look like a beast.
Thanks for reading my thread.
