[Q] Help with patch and flash a new rom on Galaxy tab

Hi everyone,
i'm from Portugal and i made a business with a friend who bought a Galaxy tab in New York. Now, i'm enjoying the tab but i can't made phone calls and don't have even dial pad. I only reveive phone calls. I read a few topics and learn that i have to patch my phone, first to know if is boatloader and next i can flash a new rom. Anyway, i'm new in this thinks and don't really understand somethings, so i decide ask for help and please for showing me what to do and how to make it!
I have a galaxy tab GT- P1000R, Rogers, FCC ID: A3LSGHI987.
Please help me but tells me everything because i really don't understand nothing.

Tive a ver como faze-lo, mas não sei como optar por uma em detrimento de outra! Neste momento estou a fazer um rooted com o z4mod...mas não estou a conseguir porque está a demorar bastante!

Manda me um pm com a teu mail e que roms estiveste a escolher. Quando ao z4, tinhas uma app chamada superuser?

Ja ta feito o rooted! E ja apareceu a aplicação superuser. Agora tou a fazer um backup das user apps + system data! Agr ia aplicar o patch pk dos bootloader, depois um backup de firmware e a seguir instalar uma firmware europeia...aqui, pensava eu que eram "iguais"...mas existe alguma melhor? Tipo em portugues?

Ainda nao vi nenhuma em portugues. So tens de escolher uma rom que seja gsm.

As far as I know there is YET no kitkat (PT-pt) update for this tablet.
I'm in the same situation.
Probably when the warranty voids (2 years from now) we'll have an Update.
Portuguese way FTW.

Yes, look here and search the Forums there are articles about it (sorry I don't really have any link ;P ).
Anyway if you're NOT in the EU lookout not to trip the Knox Flag tripping this flag will VOID your warranty outside of the European Union. If you're in Portugal no need to worry.

Mas qual é a version da tua note ?
A mine é 605 (lte) da MEO e já instalei (algumas 5 vezes) a 4.4.2 e volto sempre à 4.3 original simplesmente por causa da aplicação Meo Go que não funciona no kitkat, qualquer uma das versions kitkat que estão por aí funcionam lindamente em PT.
Já agora porque é que não há problema se alteramos o estado da flag da garantia ?

O teu modelo é o SM-P600 (só wifi) e o meu é o SM-P605 são dois aparelhos que apesar de serem parecidos por fora por dentro são (bastante) diferentes...
Não sei se é boa ideia actualizares para a versão 4.4.2 se não tens experiência nenhuma nisto, pode correr alguma coisa mal e depois ficas com um lindo e caro pisa papeis. Aconselho-te a esperares que saia a oficial para o teu equipamento (pode demorar um mês (??)) e acredita que vais ficar desanimado porque melhorias pouco ou nada e diferenças estéticas só na barra de status (encolhida) e nos ecrãs de definições onde raramente vais.

Desde já o meu obrigado por toda a informação e esclarecimento.
Acho que vou optar pela primeira opção, ou seja não vou mexer em nada e esperar que saia para este modelo, antes que faça asneira.
Eu só queria instalar por causa de algumas aplicações, mas nada de importante.

THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE GUIDE just a reminder of a list of steps to update SM-P600 to the new KitKat.
For a complete Guide you should head to this thread and this one.
I AM NOT responsible if you screw your device.
So for all the "tugas" out there, Samsung won't be releasing a PT-pt update anytime soon so if you want the new 4.4 KitKat this is what you'll have to do:
Go to sammobile (Sign Up there if you haven't already)
Search for your device in our case SM-P600
Download SPAIN version (or any other for that matter I recommend this one)
Download Odin 3.07 or up
Install Samsung Drivers (the easiest way is to install Kies3)
THIS IS JUST A LIST OF STEPS! READ THE FOLLOWING 2 LINKS to understand the process and to NOT screw UP
Before starting the actual update process I strongly recommend that you read this and this first.
Now lets get to work:
Open Odin
Put Firmware file (*.tar.md5) in PDA
While you wait Odin Computes your MD5 to check if your file is not corrupted put your device in download mode:
Down volume key + Home button + power button
Connect Tablet to PC and wait until the PC and/or Odin recognizes it
Then it the Start button
Wait until it finishes.
Done enjoy.

Galaxy s6 edge G928G model normally operated network operator after an update was not over run any type of call, it is no problem in the IMEI, I contacted the samsung to know if he had any kind of blockage or restriction and the company says it has no restrictions.
I updated the phone with the Kies program to the latest android 6.0.1 and had no solution.
It was done downgrade to version 5.1.1 also made the download site sam mobile without success.
all device items usually work (cameras, digital player and the rate sensor)
The IMEI of the device is the same imei box without any modification, the strange thing is that it recognizes the chip usually to remove and insert the chip it requests the restart of the device but it does not solve. anteriormente aparecia a mensagem somente chamada de emergência porem agora não consigo efetuar ligação para a chamada de emergência. fica apenas o ícone demonstrado na imagem ao lado do wifi e isso tudo ocorreu apos essa situação de atualização.
solicito ajuda de vocês pois o aparelho não esta mais na garantia e já foi levado em uma assistência terceirizada a mesma pensou que seria bloqueio de imei fez a alteração e não teve alteração. retornando para o imei de fabrica.

Try to download the Firmware from Samsung website(Braziliam Firmware). Download ODIN and flash it. You have to do FULL WIPE. I think that will help you.

Sorry already performed such unsuccessful attempt
This procedure I've realized and yet to no avail downloaded the updated Sirte did wipes factory data reset and wipe and had no solution. I think it's something at the root of android because as I said before was emergency call today do not do that, try to select the network manually without success. I believe that the only solution would be the root at the top of the page next to the wifi - wireless network is a ball with a dash in the middle where it should be the carrier signal bar, looking like a lock, or some off.

Esse procedimento eu já realizei e mesmo assim não adiantou baixei do site atualizei fiz os wipes data factory e wipe reset e não teve solução. Creio que seja algo na raiz do android pois como disse anteriormente antes fazia chamada de emergência hoje não faço isso, tento selecionar a rede manualmente sem sucesso. creio que a unica solução seria o root , no topo da pagina ao lado do wifi - rede sem fio, fica uma bola com um traço no meio onde deveria ser a barra do sinal da operadora, parecendo um bloqueio, ou alguma desativação.

Posso dizer que estou exatamente com o mesmo problema ,incluido o wifi que nao conecta fica botao cinzento do wifi .

Boa tarde irmão sou inscrito em seu canal e preciso de ajudar eu comprei um Lenovo k6 plus ou k6 note como o Google chama e fato é o aparelho tem configurações top porém não estou satisfeito com o software não encontro nada sobre root nesse aparelho gostaria de fazer root e trocar esse android modificado da Lenovo tendo em vista que atualização é muito ruim da Lenovo vc poderia me ajudar mano se for o caso até pago cara pra tira esse sistema do meu aparelho é usar um android puro
