Not that I am aware of. Not many people use bluetooth tethering, considering wifi to superior in many regards. Your best bet is to read the initial post descriptions of each custom ROM i.e. the custom ROM support threads to see if that is a feature in any custom ROMs.
It would be far easier to just find a bluetooth tethering app and install it though.

[Q] Android build with working WiFi hotspot.

I have recently been using Android NAND builds on my HD2, in particular the RCMix3D build that I have found particularly to my liking.
However, I have also bought an Motorola Xoom WiFi and wanted to use this with the HD2 WiFi hotspot. I now find that this will not work at all on gingerbread build based Roms .
If I need to downgrade to a Froyo Rom can anyone recommend a good one. Most of those available seem to be falling into disuse.
I would like a Sense Rom, and one that is stable for everyday use, no fancy tweaks. Just want a phone that works.
Or would I be better going back to a Win6.5 setup with an Android SD based Rom?
Many thanks for any guidance you can give.
I'm using MIUI 2.1.20 from miuiandroid.com which is based on GB 2. 3. 7, and dorimanx 3.9 kernel. With this combination I can use the hd2 WiFi hotspot function perfectly.
Other MIUI builds have this functionality too I believe.
I used to use a sense Rom and had to use a 3rd party app to enable WiFi hotspot, it didn't function natively.
Peace

[Q] Can I upgrade??

Hi!!! I want to ask. Can I upgrade my phone from 4.2.2 to android 4.4 without a custom rom?? Thanks....
The answer is no as Samsung hasn't released any firmware of 4.4 yet and thus if you want 4.4 in your grand then you will have to root your device and go for any custom ROM only.

My phone is already rooted and If I use a custom rom like OMNI ROM,SLIMKAT, OR OTHER LIKE THAT, Sim card 2 and browser and FM radio will not work. I just want the perfect rom so I can use anything with normal galaxy grand with android 4.4. But thanks for your reply and if you know how to make a custom rom please PM me or send me the link to my email: [email protected].

Dual sim functionality currently doesn't exist in any AOSP ROM. regarding browser and fm. You can opt for alternatives like chrome and for fm i have heard sprintfm or something like that works great. And no i an just a user.

Stable Rom for SMT330

Hi All,
I recently purchased the Tab 4 (WIFI) SMT330 (UK), and didn't think there would be much problem rooting and installing various ROMS. It seems there is a real lack of ROMS out there for this device.
I am just wondering what the general consensus is, is there a stable ROM out there which is de-bloated? Or is it just a waiting game....the closest I can see is this rom but there seems to be a few bugs?

Someone gave me a Tab 4 WiFi and I've been trying to find ROMS and there is absolutely nothing out there. Blisspop was abandoned so the only thing left really is the stock 5.1.1 firmware and a custom kernel enabling the IR blaster.
I'm also not able to find a recovery for the T330NU either that seems stable.

Wifi Calling

Does any custom rom currently support wifi calling please?
I would be interested to see this too. I'm going to flash one of the more popular ROMs in the coming weeks on my N-9005 (still stock due to a need for Knox) and see if it has wifi calling. I guess the 6.0 ROMs should have it baked in?

Why install a custom rom on gs7?

Hi,
This question is mostly towards the people that have already installed a custom rom on their GS7.
I have a GS7 G935F model and i was wondering why you guys choose to installed custom rom?
I'm a big fan of custom roms. I have used them in the past on my GS3 T999, because T-mobile didn't release any new updates for the phone. I saw the need to use a custom rom to be on the latest and greatest version and i switched from rom the rom to test witch one suited me best. Now with the GS7 i get frequent updates from samsung and don't see the need, but i'm still really really interested in trying one of the custom roms. So what else does a custom bring that will make me want to make that switch?

most of those frequent updates are for security propose.
custom roms enable you to unlimited experience of customization.
changing any system ui element or installing some apps that need root access and works better on custom roms usually.
but some app or mod you install on custom rom have risks to brick your phone and you need to prepare urself to repair it or search a lot to get stable ones.

Changing system ui elements or using root apps/ modules. 3 years ago u needed a custom rom for a new look and extra functionality that wasn't normally possible. Nowadays most of those things are possible. I'm searching for the things i can do now if i choose to install a custom rom. Things i could really use.
Which root apps or modules do u use on your phone?
