hello fellow XDA members, long time member here.
I would like to introduce to you, the worlds smallest datacenter “Rockhopper” Based on ARM architecture, a Rockhopper can contain up to 8 nodes with a total of 64 cores @ 2.0Ghz which interconnect to our proprietary high-speed and hot pluggable. The nodes also come equipped with a DDR3 sodimm slot that can support up to 8Gb, for a total of 64Gb. Energy efficient, scalable and high performance platform available to be used anywhere in their homes, offices or an IT environment. Encouraging users to be thinkers and experiment with new possibilities.
We are excited about launching our kickstarter campaign. Visit our kickstarter page to get more details.

According to Heise (http://www.heise.de/mobil/meldung/Tablet-Computer-mit-Infrastruktur-fuer-Verlage-961008.html - german!) it's not an Android tablet, but can run android apps via a wrapper.
I'd rather wait for ICD's Nvidia Tegra2 based Vega tablet...
http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/07/icds-tegra-tablet-officially-dubbed-the-vega-headed-to-t-mobil/
I'll have a look at it, thanks for the link
it's so Beautiful!~
There is also this, Enso Zenpad, Its a 5" resistive touch, android 1.6, samsung 667mhz, 256mb ram, 1gb inbuilt, up to 32gb microSD (8gb Included)..
Looks like a nice little device, and its only $150! (£102)

Uhh, but we're talking about Tablet PC's. </sarcasm>
Notion Ink Adam, all the way. Noone will be able to beat this one when it comes to the display...
looks small (next to the pics of WePad and T-Mobile Vega / Tegra)

And the display really rocks... I have an OLPC, which has a similiar display. I wish I could get that screen for my thinkpad.

[Q] Google's Portable App Engine on your Xoom?

According to Google; Android 2.5 was suppose to include the Portable App Engine
"Using the new Portable App Engine, Android will now be able to run Palm Pre and iPhone applications using a virtual machine.
While the Pre only has about 2,000 applications, Apple’s iPhone is currently the industry leader with 150,000+. iPhone’s best games are very desirable to non-iPhone owners, for example, as they generally offer superior graphics and level of gameplay, that is, until Froyo comes out.
Portable App Engine is a "20%" project started by 2 Google engineers – Joseph Smarr and Ikai Lan – and got its name from Google’s flagship App Engine."
Has anyone checked to see if the Portable App Engine is part of Android 3.0 on your Xoom?

Will Chuwi HI13 2IN1 Tablet PC Kill Surface Book For A Better Choice?

Right now i believe most users and media have been attracted by CES in Las Vegas, 2017, because i am also a fan of CES, and fond of unknown electronics. Yesterday, i have read some tech sites to know Chuwi will attend CES to release and show Chuwi HI13, which is the new year flagship, better and powerful than Chuwi HI12, but previously, i have guess this new tablet pc should call Chuwi HI14 according to their naming practice. It proves I was wrong. You can check this thread that i created before about Chuwi new tablet, i am also doubtful it should be Chuwi Lapbook 14.1 Notebook, so i changed the title from Chuwi HI14 to Chuwi Lapbook 14.1. Please forgive me for my wrong judge. Anyway, i have seen the Chuwi HI13 real photos before and know the main specs you may be interested. Check details as follow.

Here are some detailed specs:
1. 13.5 inch 3000 x 2000 resolution 3:2 ratio screen.
2. Intel Apollo Lake Celeron N3450 CPU + Gen9 Graphics 500 GPU.
3. Windows 10 Home operating system.
4. 4 GB DDR3L RAM + 64 GB eMMC ROM.
5. Detachable keyboard + Stylus pen support.
6. 2.4Ghz/5Ghz Dual band Wi-Fi + Type-C Port.
But my point is that in terms of design, it looks like Surface Book so much, do you detect that?
So i think Chuwi HI13 can replace Surface book in the design and price, how about you? I like to choose competitive and affordable electronics.

about $350.

Could we possibly see Windows 10 ports in the future?

So, as of late, I've been reading up on the whole 'Windows 10 on ARM devices' debacle. I've recently come across an article stating that Qualcomm has partnered with M$ on this project (some time ago, actually), and they're supposed to be releasing Snapdragon 835 based Windows machines later this year.
This got me thinking about what that could potentially mean for us smartphone users. With the release of the DeX station, it opens up a perfect avenue for a full (true) desktop experience built right into our phones. I know this is all wishful thinking at the moment, but I honestly see an opportunity for something amazing (given we have an unlocked bootloader for the Snapdragon variant).
Sorry for the shoddy paragraphs. I've been awake for a good day and a half, and wanted to get people thinking about this before I forgot myself lol. I'll leave a link to one of the articles talking about
SnapWin (idk) below.

Unless someone plans to build a kernel from scratch, it's gonna be a no go. Given android uses a Linux kernel

I haven't built a brand new computer for over 10 years, so it was overdue. I upgraded bits and pieces, but after I started having a lot of issues with multiple dead hard drives, and being unable to determine the source of the hard drives dying, I decided it was time on a brand new build.
Parts list:
Motherboard: ROG Strix B550-F Gaming
PSU: EVGA 850GA Gold
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3600MHz
GPU: GeForce RTX 3070
Case: Thermaltake S300 Snow Edition
SSD: Samsung 1TB 980PRO NVME M.2
HDD1: TOSHIBA 6TB 7200RPM X300 256MB
HDD2: Seagate 6TB 7200RPM
LEDs: Bitspower TouchAqua 120mm RGB fans
It took me a while to get all these parts together. The hardest thing to find was the RTX 3070 video card. In the end, I wrote a telegram bot that checks the Best Buy API every 30 seconds for various RTX products. It took a few tries when they came in to stock, but eventually I was able to snag one.
This was actually a super-fun project. I was trying to re-use parts from my old PC... notably the PSU, which was a 1000W PSU. I had all kinds of issues with picking up the hard drives - it turns out the source of all of my problems was that power supply. But, in the end I got a wicked fast PC - I can plan any modern game (and also mine a little crypto!).

Looks great! Very similar to a setup that I have right now. Capable of 4K gaming while being very affordable.

The nerdiest thing about this setup is how I learned to write a Telegram bot just to get a graphics card!
