NFS most wanted finally working on galaxy grand duos I9082 - Galaxy Grand Duos i9082 General

Hey guys after searching a lot on internet and xda i never found any solution for running NFS most wanted on galaxy grand duos my problem was that after closing the game my phone used to hang and i used to remove the battery and switch on the phone even sometime while playing the game the phone used to hang.........But now after doing some tweaks on my phone i m able to run nfs most wanted very smoothly....
here's what i did
1) i am using [ROM] [UNOFFICIAL] [LINARO 4.8.3] [DUAL-SIM] [APP2SD] CyanogenMod 11 [Update 20140813] here's the link >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-grand-duos/development/rom-cyanogenmod-11-t2827007
2) i installed an evolution kernal v1.8.1 here's the link >>>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2564504 this kernal can overclock the CPU to 1600mhz
3) after that i have enabled developer options and tweaked the performance and overclocked the CPU to 1600mhz and in memory management option "Allow purging of assets" see the screenshot
4) I installed Ram manager pro and set its option to hard multitasking see the screenshot
5) I have also used GL to SD to move the game data to SD card (my SD card is class 10 sandisk) however it is not necessary even if the game is in phone memory it runs pretty well..
6) DONE :good: NFS MostWanted is running soo smoothly and no crashes at all (it is recommended to close the mobile data while playing the game however its not necessary) i played it for 4-5 hrs till now and reached till MostWanted 7
Thanks to the respective developers for their Rom's, kernals and Mods......:good:

Cool !!!! Once run antuntu benchmarks ........wanna see the score after ur tweaking

Completed NFS most wanted smoothly by doing above tweaks
Hey guys i have now completed NFS most wanted smoothly see screenshot>>>
if u are a fan of NFS MW then u must definitely follow the tweaks i mentioned in above post

For those like me who have the new Galaxy Grand latin variant (GT-I9082L), here are a list of mods that I have found, tested and done. These tweaks and mods will make your Galaxy Grand much more powerful and sport the latest developments available from Samsung. This should also work on the I9082.
Please read through direction, for some require modding system files. Device must be ROOTED. I am NOT responsible for you bricking your device.
If you find this post useful, please click THANKS! .

System Tweaks:
- ROOT & K2WL CWM TOUCH : Thread
Just as you would root most Samsung devices.
1. Download k2wl's Recovery Image LINK
2. Run Odin3, under the PDA button, select Recovery Image.
3. Boot phone in Download mode (Vol-,Home, Power)
4. Start Odin3, wait until Reboot.
- PIMP MY ROM (BETA): Thread
A Performance must! This is THE tool to have. It literally transforms your stock ROM into a custom ROM without any hazzle. Makes the Grand super fast, super smooth, and stable. Recommended: Before tweaking, make Rescue Package.
My 'Superformance Tweaks':
• Tools:
Entropy Generator: ON. Feed Interval: 1 sec., Fill Watermark: 90%
GPS Configuration:Select Closest Continent/Country for faster GPS lock.
• Tweaks:
Network & Internet: All CHECKED. TCP Congestion Algorithm: RENO.
[U]Multitasking:[/U] OOM Groupings: Medium, Minfree values: Medium.
Dalvik VM: Verification: None, Register Mapping: ON, Just-in-Time Compiler: ON, Dalvik JNI Error Checking: OFF
Kernel: Check 'Ondemand' (Default Governor), Disable: I/O Stats, Scheduler Sysctl Tweaks. Disable: Vsync, and Disable all 3 Sleepers.
Android Features: All OFF, except: Force GPU Rendering & Kernel JNI Error Checking.
Telephony: AMR Wideband: ON
Screen & Display: Maximum Event per Second: 150
Miscellaneous: All CHECKED
- VELIS AUTO BRIGHTNESS
The LCD display on the Galaxy Grand is "not bad", and i hate how laggy the auto brightness is. Velis Auto Brightness has solved all my display issues! Not only does it brighten the screen to a more similar AMOLED look, but the auto brightness is superb.
- Set Preset: TFT BRIGHT
- Light Sensitivity: Low Sensitivity (This is personal preference)
After the wizard, go into settings, BRIGHTNESS CHANGE SENSITIVITY: 30 PERCENT. Similar scale to S4.
Download from Google Play.
- DISABLE S VOICE HOME KEY LAUNCH (LAG)
This glitch or lag is also present in the S2 and S3. When the 'Open via the home key' option is selected in S Voice, the app is monitoring Touchwiz for this action, which lags it.
- Untick 'Open via the home' in S Voice Settings
Pocket Now on a tip video recommends to use a third-party app to assign Google Now/Search to the home key.
Apps & Widgets:
- ACCUWEATHER S4 STYLE WIDGET
S4 Style Accuweather Widget by Balliboxer. LINK
Can be used on STOCK ODEXED ROM.
1. Install S4 Style Accuweather Widget via CWM
2. Using Root Browser or Root Explorer, delete (or move) AccuweatherWidget ODEX file.
3. Reboot
- GALAXY S4 S VOICE

Hi Paul,
With Pimp i do have one issue, My minimum frequency is always set to 800MHz( after reboot) . This is causing me battery drain and heat issue. although i am using Rom Toolbox but still pimp take precedence and i have always to manually bring it back to 312 MHz, any suggestion?

I just tried that myself. I still haven't gotten to CPU/Kernel tweaking, but I do have a modded 9082 kernel waiting to try out. In my understanding, it's probable that the stock kernel won't make the changes stick. Just bear with me a bit and I'll sort it out....

Just as I thought. I flashed the first custom kernel by k2wl and setting CPU via Rom Toolbox, set min speed to 312 Mhz and set governor to Hotplug...Set on Boot.... worked fine.
Will be updating the thread with some new goodies. New Recovery and new Chat On too.
Dont use CPU Control
Hi Gang,
Do not use CPU Control yet, I will be seeing what's going on, but the device after a while gets laggy, freezes and then FC. I will remove some software, write to developers, and keep you all posted.
Cheers,
Paul

Thanks k2wl,
I will re-flash your Kernel, I am not sure if my lags were because of Power Save... but will re-test again. Thanks for helping us "Latin" Grands. I was in the works of debloating the new firmware. I'm sure you gave it your extreme treatment, but my goals is to have a S4-ish device.
Thanks again,
Paul

[Q] Best choice for fluid NC ROM in 2016 -- is...? :)

Hello,
Please note I posted a similar question in 2012: "[Q] Most stable and fastest ROM (at the end of Dec 2012) -- is...?" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2048145
I got some great answers, feel free to check the link above. However, four years later I didn't experiment at all and lots of things happened, so I have similar Q:
In 2016. which NC ROM is most meaningful to install?
This is a perfect question for someone who was willing to try numerous NC builds. I'm not lazy, but there are hundreds of pages on different NC ROMs and their versions. So far, I used only Mirage 7.2, famous for stability and fluidity (as possible on 2010. HW). But, since it's Gingerbread, it doesn't support newer apps. Long ago, I briefly tried CM10 from 2012. and it was pretty slow. I guess things have changed so far.
I've been reading other DEV ROM threads, for instance this ROM was evaluated by users as fast as Mirage 7.2: [ROM] MROM-Encore [4.2.2][LINARO][CM10.1] build:20131003
There are different builds of modified CM10 (up to stable 10.2), and also lots of only nightly builds of CM11. There is even CM13 (Android M), developing as we speak! I don't have enough time to try all these builds, so I kindly ask someone how actually tried them or even worked on them to share a small digest: what's worth of trying and working with today on a daily basis?. Maybe a small comparison.
Are certain versions of CM10 or CM11 close to fluid, everyday use? Which offer same responsiveness (or maybe just a bit slower) but with new options (mostly: possibility of running Android 4+ apps). If yes, which version in particular is worth trying? Feel free to leave links.
Finally, I'm currently on CWM Recovery ver. 3.2.0.1 installed on eMMC (not SD card install). With this ver. I can flash CM 7.2 and CM 10. How about CM11 -- do I need newer CWM Recovery?
I'm really thankful for any hint. Cheers!
CM10 + Swap partition
I am new here and not a lot of experience with Nook Color or Cyanogenmod. I recently picked up a Nook Color (encore) and wanted to try out the CM options. I didn't spend much time with the stock setup. I started CM setups almost immediately. I have tried MROM, MiRaGe CM7.2, CM10, 10.1, 10.2, & 11. The best system setup to me was under CM10. Using the regular gapps collection made it crawl, I used the minimal gapps for CM10 (Android 4.1.2). Adding 1GB linux-swap partition (2gb SD card with p1 Fat32 900mb & p2 linux-swap 1024mb) using 'Swapper 2' made a lot of improvement in usability. Also went with Apex Launcher. I may have missed something obvious but in my recent limited experience, the best CM recipe for BNRV200 was as below...
Installation base:
CWM-based Recovery v6.0.4.8
cm-10-20130421-NIGHTLY-encore
YourZgappsXS-4.1.2-2014.03.16
Changed Settings:
Performance: CPU Interactive min600/max1100, I/O BFQ, 16bit transparency, Surface disable dithering.
Developer: Display - animations off in the three sections.
Apps:
Swapper 2 configured with 1GB linux-swap partition on SD card.
Apex Launcher
Root Checker
SuperSU
Solid Explorer
Dolphin browser
Quadrant (results example = 1513 - CPU 1376, Mem 1110, I/O 4221, 2D 141, 3D 719)
YouTube app required Google Play Services, Play Services made the system crawl & lag (uninstalled both).
Facebook app was laggy. The Dolphin browser was functional.
Today I went back to B&N stock 1.4.1 and I'll use it as a reader with the B&N included apps for a while.
Hello,
This what you wrote is awesome and very helpful! Thank you for that. I liked your review and testing of CM10 and the way you presented all the options. Kudos! :good:
However, I really do enjoy watching YouTube a lot. Having CM10 that's not possible, as you stated? Google Play Services Required, which would slow down the whole system. At the moment I am on Mirage 7.2 and using super-old YouTube app ver. 2.3.4. -- which works fine, but is really old, just the basic options.
Is this definitely: CM10 and YouTube can not go together? Thanks a lot!

Solving Random Reboots problem...

I think most of vibe k5 a40 user have random reboot issue . (This method will work for every device having this problem)
I also had it till last week I tried everything to solve it as it is very irritating ...... I used almost every custom kernel and even asked their dev. about this but no my problem was not at all solved so I tried every possible setup for CPU and I got to know that it is caused because of GPU and CPU combination as most custom ROMs are optimized for different aspect I tried every custom ROM and every kernel so I came to this conclusion that
1. Don't use custom kernel as long as possible on any ROM .
2. If you are like me and has already installed custom kernel then follow these steps ...
- need root
- kernel auditor installed
Steps
- change CPU governor to performance and GPU governor accordingly for best results
CPU - GPU
-performance. - userspace. (Best setting)
-balanced. - cpufreq. (Lags)
-powersaver. - userspace. (Very lagy)
Some of us already know this I think .....
ALTHOUGH PERFORMANCE IS BEST SETTING BUT IT
CONSUME MORE POWER
I'm ON PURE NEXUS (PIXEL ROM) AND GOT 4hrs 15min
SCREEN ON TIME USUALLY BUT IN BEST SETTINGS ITS
AROUND 3hrs 20min..
At least no more random reboot issue.... But u can use your inbuilt android power saver with any combination it will definitely increase around 30 minutes ....
Respect elders and have fun. ......???
