Infinite Bootloop Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 - Galaxy Tab 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I got this tab just yesterday and since then It's been fine but today suddleny It rebooted by itself and got stuck on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 logo screen. I've tried to get into recovery but for some reason I haven't been able to get in the weird thing is that I'm able to get in Donwload mode with no problem.
I'm going crazy .. I don't know what to do.
The tab is not rooted and doesn't have any weird app install just the normal stuff.

I had this problem a while back when I disabled Samsung Keyboard. You can do 2 things:
Hard Reset (Will Return it ti factory condition)
Flash the latest firmware

I'm already downloading a different firmware that I had. I'll flash it via Odin because as I said I'm not able to get in recovery so I can't do a Hard reset.
Thanks for your tip anyway.

Are you sure? You dont need Odin, just get to stock recovery mode, hold Home+Volume Up+Power just as it boots. It will take you to a recovery there use your power and volume buttons to go to Factory Reset

I did that men but didn't work I've tried a lot of times and in many ways

So instead flashing with Odin and losing warranty in the process, just send it back to repairs since you haven't rooted it yet.

I was trying to root my Galaxy Note 3, KitKat, SM-N900T with Odin 3.9. Everything went fine and I got the PASS! message. I disconnect the phone and I expected the automatic booting. That never happened. The screen started to flash the RECOVERING ROOTING (blue), RECOVERING IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING (red) and SET WARRANTY BIT : RECOVERY(yellow). Nothing that I did after that worked to get rid of those messages. I wonder if my new phone is bricked now or if I have a chance of recover it. Taking the battery out and putting in again plus holding all the buttons doesn't stop the messages from flashing. Please help!

Thank you for the suggestion but no idea how to do it with a phone stuck in the booting screen. Any help on how to get rid of it? Once that is done then I can proceed with your steps.
Take the battery out, put back in (dont turn back on)and hold volume up, home and power button. It'll take you into download mode.
Then flash your stock ROM via Odin

I tried that many times. It doesn't take me to the download mode but again to the screen I mentioned. Frustrating!..
It just keeps bootlooping you mean?
Keep trying to get into download mode, might be that you're catching the power button first and powering the phone back on.
Can you get into recovery ? Volume down and power/home button.
You should be able to get to one of them at least

Try this.
Remove and put battery back in, don't power on.
Hold Vol Down + Power + Home Button all at the same time until the warning message comes up then let go of the buttons. Finally press Vol Up only and you'll be in download mode. Connect phone to usb.
Flash this CF Auto root courtesy of Chainfire thru odin. Not sure if CF updated it for 4.4 but one poster said it worked for him on his Tmo.
Optionally flash a custom recovery cause you will have a stock recovery after rooting.
help me!
I had the same issue, I did as you said, but now I am stuck at RECOVERY BOOTING... RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING Set Warranty Bit: recovery.
(it never shows the orange pirate rooting guy)
however, against all judgement I tried it with the sm9005 instead of the sm900t file and it passed into the orange pirate root guy, however it gets stuck at the boot logo, do you guys have any Idea what could be wrong?

I've got myself stuck a couple times... both times I booted into download mode and selected reboot phone... it worked both times. As stated in another reply, make sure you pull the battery then replace and make sure you are holding home/vol/power... and make sure you get the home/vol buttons before you press and hold power.

HI there, guys! I just read the whole thread and maybe you can help me also! I'm facing a less critical, but similar problem.
I use Omega ROM (Android 4.3 yet) and just after a reboot my device is stuck at boot animation forever. The only thing I did before rebooting was freeze S Finder using Titanium Backup (after it was enabled again because Samsung updated it a few days ago) and move some apps to SD Card using Clean Master.
The critical part is that I can't enter Recovery Mode to try to solve wiping caches because my Reactivation Lock feature is enabled, so I can't access it.
Is there anything I can do except from flashing stock ROM over Omega itself? I can't lose my files on internal storage. There are pretty important ones! =/

[Q] unable to factory reset SM N900

HELP.
I flashed Custom Rom TR ROM T21 to my note 3 and all was going well till this morning when the phone would not boot up. It just froze or Stuttered/skipped best way to describe it is like a dj scratching a record back and forth. I powered off tried to boot to recovery and TWRP screen flashed up then disappeared. After numerous attempts at everything I made this mistake.... I used Odin 3.07 and flashed CF-Auto-Root-ha3g-ha3gxx-smn900 BEFORE doing a factory reset and data and cache wipe( so the T21 was still installed).......now I cant boot to recovery to do a factory reset, TWRP does not work, the android icon does not appear and if i try press home + key +power and volume up buttons, the phone turns on, the samsung logo comes up, then screen goes black and few seconds later logo comes back then black then logo......you get the drift...HELP!!!!! Im stuck in hospital I have no phone, no contact numbers and freaking out because usually I have fixed much worse problems.....I would be really greatful if someone could help me out

[Q] galaxy s5 900f (o2) bootloop,Knox tripped, help!!!

Hello all, first off apologies if this has been answered... If it has I can't find it...so here goes..the wife's galasxy s5 had the lollipop update...as we all know Samsung jumped the gun....the phone over a few days got worse for screen freezing and random off and on...until eventually it got caught in a bootloop...
I tried to data/factory reset but the menu list wasn't there just a blue message saying booting recovery..
So after taking the battery out for 5,10 then 30 min for the same thing to happen.
I then decided (stupidly) to use Odin (I've used it a lot over the years) and flash the original ROM from sammobile...(yes I can get to the download screen).Odin says reset after flashing, phone resets and again it bootloops....not sure if the Knox was tripped at this point however after a bit more research and other tutorials I realised I tried to install an unlocked version not one tied to 02...so o found the o2 one from sammobile...went through it all again and still nothing... Bootloop.....so I tried again but this time i tried to root it using Odin...again it said it worked...I assume it did because I received another menu lines at the booting recover one in red and one in yellow...however it still boot loops....I then try flashing ROM again and still boot loops....boot loops.....boot loops.....I put custom ROM back on and go to Samsung repair shop as the devices is less than a year old...to be told the knox is tripped sorry....please can someone point me in the right direction as to what I can do with this phone now....

Something is wrong with your keyboard, dot key is stuck or something?:laugh::laugh:
Did you even try to do Factory Reset after flashing firmware dedicated to your phone?
To do this - flash STOCK firmware via ODIN again. It phone get into bootloop again - pull out battery.
Then wait 30 seconds and enter to STOCK recovery - VOL+ + HOME + POWER (Almost the same like download mode but instead vol- is vol+) and do format data and format cache few times.

Other kind of boot loop...

Hi all!
Here is a little problem that i didn't solved.
i have a N910F Note 4 that likes to boot loop . I received it as it is and don't know what caused it(i suppose that was a rooting issue because had the knox value 1)
During the all time, PC and MAC were unable to recognize the Note 4, despite of repeatedly reinstalled drivers(older and newer versions) , Keys and Smart Switch were unable to recognize the device, PC is failing to install the MTP driver for some reason. I changed the USB ports, restarted, updated drivers, updated windows etc. -NO RESULT. BUT : Somehow Keys is able to run recovery and initialization and install it on the device while saying Connecting device... , phone also doesn't appear in device manager or file explorer as external drive.NOTHING! Odin and Jodin says ''added!'' and starts the job with no comments
1. I tried different versions of boot loaders with different versions of ROM (all for my specific model) with no result.
The end of the boot is when Samsung logo ,sound and graphic appears but freezes before actually starting OS, then restarts. IT keeps restarting until battery goes off(even while connected to pc by usb!!! ). Then starts to charge the battery normally.
It boots in recovery and download mode with no problems, it did every time i flashed it…
2. I tried different versions of boot loaders with stock roms , custom kernels etc...and the problem was the same
3. I tried to flash with Odin the stock 4.4.4 without problems but….the problem was the same
4.I tried Device recovery and initialization with Keys and here something interesting happened:
First time when i did it, it went over the samsung logo and booted. I selected language,i skipped wifi network selection and i accepted the user agreement. No matter how fast i was moving, the boot loop didn't went over the user name selection which is after the user agreement. Then freeze and boot again.
Second time when recovered with Keys (tried more stuff in the mean time) it went over the logo and started to update like…''updating applications 2of 17'' the max reach point was ''3 apps of 17'' and then freeze and reboot
I am out of ideas so i suspect that the battery might be dead because it gets empty even if is charging while phone is ''boot looping''. I ordered a battery, should arrive soon.
If that don't work…i am gonna spend some cash and sent it to Samsung for repairs (i bet that it won't be cheap because they will probably tell me that is the motherboard fried so they make you pay for being a bad boy and tried to root). Far as i know is not a brick as long as download mode and recovery works just fine.
Is here someone that has any new ideas for bringing this phone to life? Any help is well received , maybe i skipped something….
Thank you in advance.

Uninstall Kies, and install Samsung USB drivers: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347849220
Take the battery out, leave it for approximately 10 seconds, enter the battery back in.
Hold volume down key + Home key and power on the device.
Then plug the mobile phone into the computer.
Run Odin as Admin: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347851815
Then flash the firmware in the AP section.
Make sure that the firmware is for your region, you can download it from Sammobile or SamFirm.
i have the same problem, but mine doesn't let the samsung logo finish when it shows the letter S on samsung logo it goes restart again no sound or anything, recovery is accesible, download mode is also accessible, i can flash official firmware and factory reset but nothing change, still stuck in bootloop no one here in xda knows how to fix it i think.. or they just never encounter something like this
i know how to fix an ordinary bootloops or soft bricked.. but this one is different.. i think there's something with note 4 that causes this..

Yes, it doesn't go after the Samsung graphics , mine does sound. Goes to app updates only after Kies recovery but doesn't go more far than updating apps 3/17 for ex…crushes there and starts over….weird.
One time i managed to actually go to setup menu, choose country, wifi, device name, and there crushed and started over…. So i am thinking now that the battery might be wasted because i saw posts saying that after the 5.0.1 update many Note 4's went to boot loop and the battery change solved the problem. Now i have new battery coming by post.
Hi I had a similar problem but I do not know if that works but always worth a try
1. download recovery - "twrp-2.8.1.0-trltexx"(.tar) cant post link fresh in forum
2. flash recovery through Odin (AP) ( run as administrator)
3. unplug the cable
4. Reboot to Recovery (home+power+wolume up)
5. Then go to Wipe/Advanced Wipe/check the boxes - Dalvik Cache,System,Data,Cache and Swipe to Wipe
6. Reboot to Download Mode
7. Open Odin ( run as administrator) choise the rom to flash
8 Connect the phone
7. Flash Your Stock Rom
8. Reboot
always in Odin load the file first to flash and then connect the phone
sorry for my English

nah it doesnt work thats the first thing I do, that only work on ordinary bootloop
I was stuck in a boot loop the other day trying to flash a stock ROM to get rid of encryption. I tried all the stuff mentioned in this thread which is just standard procedure but I couldn't get past the samsung logo. What it turned out to be was that you need to go to stock recovery after flashing the stock ROM via odin and do a factory data reset then it will boot to the OS. It worked in my case, maybe you can give it a try.

if you read the above post you will know that we already wipe and factory reset,
btw since i was not able to fix it, it brought it to samsung service center and they also cant fix it so they are changing the motherboard, so far they are not charging me anything and just asking to bring my receipt of purchase so it will be under warranty

I read the post; however, it did not appear as though you did a factory reset after flashing the stock ROM only before. At any rate at least you're getting a new mobo out of it and problem solved.
