8/11/14 OTA 30O (Link to android Police) Post any errors - ONE General

Im throwing up a link to Android Police article that has the latest OTA for the OnePlus One.
Like it says, manually install via adb sideload. timmaaa has an awesome walkthrough for installing it that is a bit more detailed. link
File is approximately 150 mb in sizeShort Error list and Possible solutions at the bottom
What's new:
Upgraded to Android 4.4.4
Updated to new versions of Google apps
Added Clear Image
Added new (colder) calibration for the screen
Proximity sensor prevents activation of off-screen gestures while in your pocket
Capacitive touch keys supported in the recovery mode
Increased capacitive button illumination
Improved overall stability
Fixed issues with vibration being disabled during Quiet Hours
Fixed lockscreen not updating the track information during music playback
Fixed microphone volume for all formats in the Voice Recorder app
Fixed “OK, Google” not triggering voice search in Google Now
Fixed Viber calls not working
Fixed battery percent not updating in custom lock screens
Fixed PicasaSync
Fixed Camera “O” gesture activating lockscreen instead of triggering camera
Fixed wallpapers not applying in full screen, taking the wrong size when cropping, etc
"Update: In addition to the above, we've noticed the following changes:
Speaker volume while on a call is higher - this is a very welcome change, as the speaker used to be practically unusable unless you're in a totally silent room.
Mic sensitivity when using voice commands is much improved - the One can finally hear what you're saying at an arm's length or more rather than just about an inch or two. If you use Google's Search app and interact with it using voice, the differences you will see are going to be night and day.
The mobile data symbol in the notification area now shows LTE instead of 4G when using an LTE network.
As part of Android 4.4.3/4.4.4, you will see a revamped dialer.
The model number is now being reported as A0001 for some reason.
Heads up notifications (Settings -> Notification drawer -> Heads up).
You can now search in Settings."

Great news! Did you have xposed prior to the update? or any other system mods?

[Q] Slimbean 4.2.2 build7 camera and google search

1. The camera has many additional functions such as hands free, ISO mode, etc. But I really had no idea how to toggle these functions to use as I all see is seemingly a stock camera app. (Same happened across build 6 and 7, I wiped cache and dalvik, flashed the rom, and AIO addons)
2. Google search FC in every attempt to use.
Refresh the zips is not helpful and this is the only place I know of to voice out the issues I had...
update: problem 2 solved by uninstalling, reboot, and resinstalling the app from play store, but I really don't get how to use advance features brought by the rom. I can't search nowhere to find the way and the Q&A on the official page saying to look for the timer option from the circle menu doesn't apply to my case.. why?

Another update for Z3

Another update!
http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Softw...mware-update-for-the-Xperia-Z3-and/m-p/980932
Ensured the lock screen / notification bar doesn’t indicate “no service” when the device has coverage
Added a Sony feature; bringing back the "close-all-button" in the activity menu, so you can easily close all apps at once
Unblocked devices with server policies (such as Exchange Active Sync for e-mail), to enable the new Lollipop lock-screen notifications
Ensured the LED light is lit across all sound modes - and no longer offset by “silent”
Made the necessary fixes to enable the easy movement of content from internal memory to external microSD card (something we saw affecting a few devices)
Improved messaging functionality in Ultra stamina mode – some conversations could not be opened before in Ultra stamina mode
Finally a fix for the lockscreen notifications not showing if syncing Exchange with locking code policy!
Already flashed a rooted zip and running flawlessly with Xposed and everyhing
The notifications should have been fixed in 23.1.A.0.726 though, but I never got around to try it(it never appeard in OTA either).
Quick question, if I update using OTA will I loose root and recovery?

No you wont lose root or recovery if you OTA update just make sure you've not deleted any of the pre-installed apps other wise the OTA will fail to install.
update has popped up on my Z3 and says "could not verify"
im not really bothered about the update, how can i get rid of the notification? cant seem to clear it

Hey, I have the same thing.
I'm rooted and just checked, that I have uninstalled the "small apps" components. Do I need to install them to get rid of this annoying notification or other steps could be taken?
Edit:
I managed to close it with titanium, just hit "backup" on update center. However, before that I changed the setting 'don't update automatically'.
Cheers.

Where did you get the flashable zip? Can you point me to it? I've done all kinds of tweaks like removing system apps, so I can't use the official updater.
Edit: Found one here, haven't tried it yet tho... https://mega.co.nz/#!aZgC3K6A!vB5ZJplEq0Hlk5zgt1rqFYeanrhP_NYXnKfd0sA3xt4

I made my own zip. Glad you find one!
Can you provide the zip
Omnikai has already posted a link to one..
Can I just flash that over what I'm currently using? do I need to wipe anything?! I don't want to lose my application data
I flashed the zip I made myself without loosing anything, just wiped dalvik/cache.
Can you possibly upload the one you made??!
It's a Norwegian/Telenor specific rom, I guess you'd rather have the Nordic Generic from that link
And I don't have the zip available here, and no places to uploads.. Sorry.

If you mean "update service" I tried to backup and it says insufficient storage space even though I have 6gb.
Is it safe to freeze the service? or is there another way
Thanks

Phone has stopped functioning in many ways after update

Hey guys,
Hopefully someone can provide a bit of help or point me in the right direction.
Tonight I installed (what I thought was) an update but accidentally installed the original 6.0.0 image for my 6P (MDA89D).
I noticed that not much on my phone was working, discovered my error, and went ahead and updated to the latest image (MTC19X).
Most of the phone's functions remained unable to work using this image so I also tried the last image I was on before updating.
Now after trying to uninstall xposed, reinstall xposed, disable certain modules, etc I am unable to get certain functions of the phone to work.
The things I've noticed are: my recents button doesn't function, no notifications are popping up on my notification panel, I can't expand my notification panel to show quick settings, sometimes home button doesn't function at all. If it helps "vibrate on touch" was turned on for some reason after I updated the second time.
The first update I did was using FlashFire (undid xposed, installed update, reinstalled xposed), the rest of the updates were using fastboot to update everything but data.img.
Well I ended up finding the fix finally thanks to a little more googling.
running "adb shell am start -n com.google.android.setupwizard/.SetupWizardTestActivity" and going through the setup ended up fixing it
Might as well leave this up in case anyone else needs help in the future

"Battery level full" - Any solutions to disabling this notification?

I am running rooted Swift and Fast B170 ROM on one XT and stock B180 on another and have yet to find a way to disable this seemingly system based notification. On my rooted device I tried to install Xposed but ran into a boot loop issue after installing the framework so I am inclined to think that isn't a possible route to a solution. The OS notification center is pretty useless in managing app notifications and the battery notification doesn't seem to be tied to a specific app anyway.
Does anyone have any ideas how to disable the notification?
So I ended up disabling the System UI notifications all together. And that works but I'm pretty sure its going to disable other important notifications controlled by System UI. If anyone has any true solutions let me know.
Xposed can be installed on the Ascend XT. Search for my Xposed thread. I'm using Magisk Systemless Xposed v87.1.
Why not just swipe away the battery full notification. Yes, you've probably killed other things too by disabling SystemUI.

Have you tried using an Xposed module to remove it, I recall using one to do that to remove the same notification on my S4.

Because it's a nuisance, and I've notice with some games that notification (w/sound) will kill all in game sounds until the game is restarted. But that's just my 2¢

yes it can pop up at the most inopportune time and its honestly a useless notification in the bar that is distracting. notifications shouldnt be in the bar that i should ignore.
@mattzeller and like i said before i tried installing Xposed before i believe the regular installer and that went fine but when i installed the framework and rebooted it kept boot looping at the android logo and i had to reflash the Swift and Fast ROM.
I plan on exploring the Xposed install that divineBliss mentioned I just need to backup my current ROM first and then double check all of the steps required. I hope it works. cause it really is a distracting notification.

Using systemless Xposed is a fairly straightforward process. This is the way I got it working on mine since Magisk wouldn't flash because of the modified boot.img and would only modify stock, you don't have to flash the ROM like I did, but I was doing cleanup and reflash anyway.
1. Download all required files and put them on your external SD card.
a. Swift&Fast: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=72258982
b. Magisk: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=68966662
2. Make sure you have the correct boot.img for the firmware version you are using, can't use B160 boot.img on B170 ROM, it causes wifi problems. I extracted boot.img from @madvane20 's Swift&Fast ROM since that's what I am running.
3. Do all necessary wipes and flash ROM, do NOT reboot yet.
4. Flash extracted boot.img (select img in TWRP to show *.img files) do NOT reboot yet.
5. Flash Magisk (I'm using current/stable)
6. Wipe caches and reboot.
7. Boot your phone, open Magisk Manager and go to Downloads and install Xposed Framework (SDK 23). I got an error here trying to download and install. I fixed it by adding the folder Magiskmanager to internal sdcard.
8. Download and install latest Xposed installer for systemless Xposed. The link for that is in the Magisk module information for Xposed.
9. Reboot (got a kitK Kat? It's gonna be a while) and everything should be working.
Occasionally after a reboot you can't open settings(Xposed issue), just reboot again, should clear that up.

Although I'm sure there's a way via xposed to disable the notification, I haven't found it yet. The xEMUI module has some nice tweaks, but nothing related to that.
Perhaps via appOpsXposed, or via stopReceiverBroadcasts... remove the ability for SystemUI to see the charging related events..?

once i get over pneumonia ill fix my b180 rom. however b180 in general has bad battery drain for me on stock or my rom. will help what i can once i feel better
Have you tried the NotifyClean module in Xposed?
Thanks -n0cturne- for the xEMUI tip. I have been dying to center the clock in EMUI w/o having to use FSBI. FSBI works really well, but slows everything down.

Notifyclean will do what you ask, I have tested it and once I blocked that specific notification, no longer pops up or chimes that the battery is full

NotifyClean only lets you disable the tray notification, not the pop up dropzone notification. . Unless I'm missing something?

It gets rid of the notification in the notification area and blocks the pop-up that occurs when it's full. Just not the "you just plugged your phone in" pop-up

This zip is for TWRP
For those wanting to update through TWRP
Just use the one from realme official site and follow @Jerry08 on this guide in the "Updating ColorOS on rooted phone via TWRP" section. From that point, just choose if you want either with or without root.
I take the chance to notice that on rooted, with TWRP and latest update device (my case) , the gestures for opening the "task killer" (up in my case and holding ) aren't working properly. Sometime they fail, somehow like if it wasn't touched
Guys can you check the sound of speakers on your device, after update, games, YouTube and everything has distorted sound even on low volume
Can i intall it Chinese phone also with this process?

plz.provide some short guide for twrp flashble update..
should I just flash ozip via twrp? or it will replace my twrp ?
I really don't understand the Realme logic to update cheaper phones first and the flagship last. This should be the update to Realme UI with Android 10... :/
I really don't understand why you can't just check for new updates and detect the new update and download it automatically on the phone. Why do I have to check this forum in order to receive the latest update. This is beyond retarded.
