Find your own latest Firmware Updates available to Download - G3 General

Please, note this method does not work on all models and it may also work on other LG devices not specifically related to the G3, or could possibly work on other G3 models not presently released. Please, if you attempt to use this please state the Model of your device and the carrier, whether it worked or not, so that we can keep a running tab on these updates. As this certainly would be helpful to know what devices will receive updates through this method in a timely manner.

you mean someone set up lg-firmwares-check-today .com or lg-g3-firmware .com for the sole purpose of harvesting live IMEI codes???

Unlocked bought from a retailer........ so...

Just use the method from post #2, it connects directly to LG's servers. Can't be safer.

Tried before posting. Same thing.
<response req_cmd="auth_model_check" status="FAIL"/>

Well make sure you type your IMEI correctly. I am sure you already checked a few times but eh, it's strange that it doesn't work for you.

I have the same model MasterTB and firmware that gives me the page is D855AR10C_00, it came from the factory.

Well send him the link you got when you check with your IMEI. (The one that end with .kdz)
10C is pretty "old", looks like LG doesn't like Argentina

Which region is my LG G2?

Hello there, I am just wondering what region my newly purchased LG G2 from ebay (it was sent from hong kong) It's the red 32GB edition and it has MAS on the box - so I presume Malaysia?
I'm very tempted to experiment with custom roms as I hate the LG interface. Is it possible to restore the phone into such a state where LG wont know that I installed anything if I've to send it in for service . Does the phone have any sort of flash counter, etc that samsung phones have?
Thanks

Thanks once again. I'm having a look through the page and it appears the region field is blank. The reason I'm asking this is just incase I have to return everything to stock incase I have to return it to LG service ( I flashed a EU rom and I forgot to make backup) or will LG just not care provided that it's an official rom on the phone ? Thanks.
Edit: I can't post links, but the attachment is what information I'm being displayed

Even if you can't find region on page(doesn't mention it) the file it provides is always model specific and for d802, region specific so you can use that kdz provided to return to complete stock for your specific device

Thanks for your help guys, much appreciated. I reverted back to the Hong kong rom One question: When I was flashing my phone firmware back, on the phone it said my phone was rooted, even though I never touched anything like that before. I flashed the phone again and it said that it wasn't rooted on the flash screen.
I just checked the status now by going into the firmware update screen and it's now saying rooted. I'm not on the one directly installed now but rather the initial kit kat update (for personal preferences)
http://storagecow.eu/Xda/LG G2/Stock/Hong Kong D802/HK KitKat 32GB D80220A_00.kdz
Is it normal to do this? Again, I'm not rooted nor have ever tried rooting my phone.
Hmm... I tried flashing the firmware that's provided by the LG and the firmware flash page now displays at "unrooted" . I would prefer to use the kit kat without the knock on update. Is this possible without it displaying as rooted? This is strange

SM-G530T1 Stock Firmware/Kernel

Hi,
Does anyone know where I can find the stock firmware for the SM-G530T1? I've looked and have not been able to find it.
Edit: It would be possible to get the firmware using the IMEI number in SmartSwitch. Unfortunately I and another are unable to access our IMEI number from the settings in the phone since our phones are bricked. We'll need someone else with the phone to take care of that. It would be tremendously appreciated!

I looked up how to get your imei # without going into your phone & it says that all you have to do to get it is to go to google settings & go into your android devices and itll pop up all the android devices that are connected to your gmail & there should be a list & the imei #s should be there too.

I'll see if that works. Thank you for the info.
Edit: Okay, I've got some good news and some bad news.
The good news is that I found my IMEI number using the method described by Eker. Also, the IMEI number is on the sticker behind the battery but it doesn't say it's the IMEI number, so now we know that. It's the number above the long bar code with the slashes in it.
The bad news is that SmartSwitch says the device is unsupported and when picking "Emergency Software Recovery and Initialization" from the "MORE" menu at the top, nothing appears in the first tab and in the second tab, entering the phone model (SM-G530T1) brings up a new box asking for a serial number. I entered the IMEI number (with and without the slashes) but it says the serial number entered is not corrected. Same thing using Samsung Kies 2 & 3.
I don't know what to do

Damn, that sucks. I mean, that's not totally bad. It would just be better to get the firmware and do it ourselves. That way we can post the firmware here and other people who can't or don't want to go in to a service center can do it themselves. Hmmm...

Ah, okay. I didn't know that XD I never really thought about it. Knowing that now, I wonder how we're going to get it. I mean, if Kies or Smart Switch won't recognize the SM-G530T1... how will someone be able to get the firmware? Unless they update either one or both of them to be able to recognize our device. US997 Model bootloader unlock some supported & some "NOT">>> WHAT GIVES??
So this is some what of an SOS in the form of a discussion..
I recently puchased the LG G6 US997 unlocked version.. At first I wasnt jumping on the root bandwagon immediately due to slow development.
As of lately things are starting to pick up so I gave it a whirl only to find out per the LG development site that my version (US997 "Z" is what LG called it) was not supported.. After multiple attempts and being advised form the LG site that I woul be locked out after 9 try's I bailed after 4..
Has anyone esle ran into this wall? If so whats the "work around"? (IF ANY)
Ive searched google for days and the dedicated thread by @autoprime and unless im missing something I keep coming up empty handed.
Any insight on this matter is extremley appreciated.. Thanks in advance:good:

No use, that version (US997z) is not supported!! Only the US global market variant US997 (without the z) is, and the Global Euro variant (H870)... Everyone else can't get root or bootloader unlocked...
Unfortunately, that's how LG rolls.

Didnt know that when i did mine it listed us997 no different variants thanks for the info
The exact thing happened to me. I thought I was buying the US unlocked phone. Nowhere in the software or on the box does it list the phone as US977Z. '
Turns out it's the US Cellular variant of the phone. If you'd like, commit to the bounty thread for this phone. It's our only hope.
Looks like I have the same problem with the US997U. I thought that extra U on the end just meant Unlocked, but that tiny difference is preventing me from unlocking my phone. Lame.

Is there any way to check for the authencity of Onepius 6T?

I just got a new phone brought from abroad..... Is there any chance it's a clone? Is there any method to check for the authenticity or verification method ensure that my phone is a genuine product? Please help... Thanks in advance.......
Go to your dialer and type *#06# to get your imei number then go to swappa.com/esn to check the imei. That will show you imei status and also the model of the phone. If it is a real 6T it should show up as such.
