Using AT&T on HD2, how to roam onto T-Mobile?

Hey guys,
I'm using AT&T Service on my HTC HD2 w/ Android. Everything's great except for the lack of 3G (since the bands AT&T use are different from T-Mobile).
So I was thinking, what if there was a way to roam onto T-Mobile's 3G bands?
But the thing is, I go to the Network Operators list and I only see AT&T. But I know there is T-Mobile service here because my relatives have T-Mobile and do get service here.
Here's a screenshot of the Network Operators screen:
Any ideas?
Not a huge deal as I am near Wi-Fi most of the time, but it would be nice to be able to use 3G

Get a sim card.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
I don't want to switch providers. I'm more than happy with AT&T's voice service.
Set your phone to MANUAL NETWORK SEARCH, then scan. T-Mobile should then show up in the list but you won't be able to access the TMO network with your AT&T card.
T-Mobile and AT&T do not have roaming agreements. You will need a T-Mobile SIM to access T-Mobile's network.

Activate on ATT for just broadband

If you want to activate on ATT just for broadband, it is possible (but requires specific APN settings)
Add both APNs but activate the ATT Broadband APN
Leave everything else untouched:
APN - AT&T activation
Name: AT&T activation
APN: lwaactivate
APN type: internet
APN - ATT Broadband
Name: ATT Broadband
APN: Broadband
APN type: internet + mms
Hopefully this Helps
Is this with any plan? Does it have to be with AT&T?

Tried both. Neither work for me.
Currently on grandfathered unlimited HSDBP plan.
So far as I can tell, with my plan, wap.cingular and Phone are the only APN's that work.
APNs are provisioned by your data plan types on your account. If you want to use Broadband APN, you'd better have AT&T broadband data plan on your account. The old 3G smartphone data plan only works for wap.cingular APN. You need 4G data plan for Phone APN (AT&T HSPA+) and LTE data plan for Ptr APN (LTE).
OP probably have a SIM card (and account) from an AT&T broadband device (USB stick or 3G tablet, laptop). That's why his phone will work on that APN.

HSDPB is the HSPA+ SOC code for unlimited (non-LTE). As mentioned above, Phone APN works for me, as too does wap.cingular.
HSDPPB is for HSPA+ smartphones, these instructions are for tablet/laptopCard plans with no voice

WIND Mobile Canadian Carrier Support

From the research I've done, aside from possibly having to manually specify APN settings, this phone should work on WIND Mobile up here in Canada?

Question for Verizon MVNO customers:

For all Verizon MVNO customers (Page Plus, Straight Talk w/VZW sim, ROK Mobile w/VZW sim, etc)
are you able to get a data connection while you are talking on the phone? I ask this because we are unable to activate "Advanced Calling 1.0"
I'm on Verizon (not sure what MVNO is) and I was able to get "simultaneous data and voice" only after adding "advanced calling" feature to my number..
Check to see if you have enhanced LTE turned on under Cellular Network. I dont have MVNO but, I am on Verizon.

its turned on
I'm pretty sure the mvno through verizon don't get enhanced calling.
What is odd is that the 5x doesn't do simultaneous connections for me, but verizon branded phones like the m8 and the desire do
Do all you Verizon people have the cell network on Global or something else like LTE/CDMA?
Global while in US. GSM while travelling international . Been doing that for 3 years, I always get better service that way.

Confused about which carrier my phone is using.

I have a LG L322DL and I'm a bit confused about which prepaid card i need to buy for this phone. It says that it's on the Verizon network but says in the APN settings TRACFONE.VZWENTP. 'Network Signal Info' says:
Net operator: Verizon Wireless / Verizon Wireless
Sim operator: Tracfone
(what's the difference here?)
However, there's a stock app called 'My Account Downloader' which, when run, directs me to the download for the 'StraightTalk My Account' app despite using the Tracfone app icon.
So which prepaid cards do i need to buy, Tracfone or StraightTalk? Or can it be either?
