SM-N900L no LTE option
Sorry. I just open this topic again. My unit still the same no LTE option or acces. Pls help. Ty

I have the same problem in the Czech Republic.

Can any one provide assistance on this? I was told by a fellow N900L user that using a custom rom aryamod + Lean kernel might help. I do not know how to install custom rom and kernel. Does anyone know how to do this?

any updates on this? I just have may Note 3 2 days ago, and I'm having problem with weak sigal on TM/Globe.
Can it possibly root and flash a custom rom, I'm thinking to have it on Cyanogenmod ROM

First, check that your SIM/Phone provider offers 1. LTE 2. LTE in your area
Secondly, If your phone is a Korean Original, I dont think it will be global-ready... you may have to update the modem & CSC in order to receive the 4G/LTE bands that you are after.
Third, check the reception bands of your phone model and check that your provider/country uses those 3G/4G/LTE bands. (eg: 700MHz, 750, 850, 900, 1600, 1900 etc)

I have had a brief look in my files and dont have your models firmware or modem to send.. I am not sure if SM-N900L has cross-compatibility with SM-N900S for example, I recall something like that or vice versa..
There are a few options;
- Find and download the firmware appropriate.

> Try connecting phone at desktop with Kies, this model may have an update per your area of the globe.

unfortunately there is no available stock firmware for n900L...but it's the same specs with n9005. so i guess i won't be havingg a problem with that stock firmware.
I'm currently running CM13 in my n900L, the rom was for n9005 and other Note3 with the same specs as Snapdragon800 chipset and Adreno GPU

It's work for me, i'm use ALL Band
Thanks bro :good:

[Q] Galaxy Y Duos, GT-S6102B (changing Modem/Phone)

Hi Team,
I'm from Colombia...
I bought a Samsung Galaxy Y Duos (S6102B), It Came with Gingerbread 2.3.6.
Version Kernel: 2.6.35.7 se.infra_AT_Sign_SEI-44 # 1.
Number of Compilation: GINGERBREAD.VJLC3.
*#1234#
PDA: S6102BVJLC3
PHONE: S6102BVJLC3
CSC: S6102BUUBLC2
What region does the firmware?
Where does this firmware?
I think that Samsung Galaxy Y Duos is very different to:
Samsung Galaxy Y (S5360)
Samsung Galaxy Y Pro (B5510)
Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos (B5512)
In Colombia the frequencies for WCDMA are 850MHz/1900MHz (like USA, Canada, Mexico, Chile, etc).
My GT-S6102B has preselected 900MHz/2100MHz Asian frequencies, and I need enable 850MHz/1900MHz for gain advantage of HSDPA (3.5G) data connections.

Could I use ODIN for update (wich file .OPS I doubt to use)?
According to ODIN (modem file option) how to change phone (modem or amss),tar.md5 file?
Could I unpacking zip (with firmware) specially for this model specifically, from samfirmware.com ? - (the zip has one only unextractable file)
Is It possible download files of Firmware from my mobile?
Thank you.
Jose Luis
Looks like your device is specifically tailored to Brazil, hence the B on S6102B and the weird frequencies.
I'm still investigating if the UMTS frequencies are software controlled or limited by hardware on a GT-S360L (currently supporting 850/1900 MHz UMTS, my goal is getting 850/2100 MHz).
I will let you know if I advance more.
Hi Jose Luis,
What you are reporting is weird as the GT-S6102 is supposed to be 900/2100 and the GT-S6102B is supposed to be 850/2100. I bought a GT-S6102B (exactly the same specs as yours: *#1234#, kernel, compilation) on Amazon.com 2 weeks ago. The HSDPA frequencies written on the box are 850/2100. Even if I live in Europe (frequency 2100), I especially bought my phone in the US to have the 850/2100 as I often travel in North America. I could not try yet if it works on 850MHz, but at least, it is written on the box.
Edit: I found this code *#*#197328640#*#* that seems to allow you to select the operating frequency. However, I didn't try it myself. Maybe somebody might confirm this?

Hi johnNavi,
I tried to changes frequency band using *#*#197328640#*#*, but the behavior is same;
Maybe you can change in the menu, selecting Frequencies for USA, but in functionality is not working.
I had a same case with GT-5670L(came with Gingerbread 2.3.4) -> updated to 2.3.6 for India, and the functionallity for operate in frequencies for America (Colombia Incluted) was damaged.
I needed to change only the file modem (phone) 2.3.6 to 2.3.4, not all Firmware.
Bye.
Hello,
to make it complete. I am from Germany stay in Argentina and have bored a S6102 from Russia.
Cards:
T-Mobile from germany (for phoning)
Moviestar from Argentina (for phoning and 3G)
Phone works fine, not like my HD2, but it works. Problem is, i cant use 3G (only Edge). could it be that i have the same problem with the frequency's?

Ok guys, here's the result:
I flashed the modem part of my device using data from a 5360B and toyed with it through *#197328640#, setting to only accept the 2100 MHz. So far so good, but I wasn't able to get any operator on my carrier lists.
The conclusion? Looks like software has some minor capabilities to lock down any unknown frequency, but the lack of right hardware is the major problem for us.

You must remember that Brazilian frequencies (850/2100) are different to Colombian (Chile, Argentina) frequencies (850/1900) for UMTS.
It's the test needed.

Hi Friend,
Sorry for asking you again, but I need to be secure for make changes in my phone.
I was reviewing in http://www.sammobile.com and I found that the S5630L Firmwares most complete would be Uruguay (850/1900/2100) and Venezuela (850/900/1800/1900) according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_UMTS_networks
Uruguay:

Venezuela
http://www.hotfile.com/dl/150336037/1906c89/S5360LUHKJ2_S5360LUUBKJ1_VNO.zip.html
My questions
Would it be possible to change the S6102B (the modem firmware) version S5360L one?
If problems occur the change can be returned?
Thank you.

Has anybody been able to make the s6102b pick the 850/1900 band by way of flashing new modem? Thanks

I am on Three network and I am on 4.4.2, I live in london.
I am supposed to have 4G however I cannot see the LTE option in Mobile networks, all I have is: WCDMA/GSM (Auto connect) , WCDMA only and GSM only.
my CSC is : N9005OXXENB1 , AP N9005XXUENB4 and CP N9005XXUENB1
I have rooted my device as i heard that might help? but havent changed any settings?
I am kind of a noob in all of this ?

It does not matter. First at all you have to see it in options and set it on. Second is if your provider enabled it to use. Make sure that you have USIM instead regular SIM card fitted to proper size.

I Had The Same.Do This:
using root explorer go to:
system/data/property
using its text editor open the file:
persist.radio.lteon
change from false to true
REBOOT
IT COMES UP AFTER 3 REBOOTS FOR ME
Sorry For The Quote
This is something I deal with about 18 times a day these days... The joys of a provider launching LTE...
What happens is that each csc version has its own file with in it a list of all providercodes followed by a 1 or 0. If set to 0, the LTE option doesn't appear in the interface.
The sneaky buggers disabled the dialer code for manually enabling network mode on the Note 3. So ODIN is the best option.
What you have there is XEF, France. Since Three doesn't appear to use branded firmware, you need to flash BTU over it. (this wont trigger knox if you use the official firmware)

[Q] Galaxy S5 G900F and bands 4 (1700)

Hi,
I did this guide to unlock LTE bands on my Galaxy S5 G900F, but it doesn't work.
Everything in the QXDM is ok and registered after reboot.
Is it because the phone is really made to not support band 4 ? Is there a hardware difference between G900F and G900W8 or this is simply the ROM that activate/desactivate bands ?
By the way, band 4 doesn't exist in NV browser (there are 1/7/13/17/40 bands only). Sounds like a hardware limit, but I want to be sure.
I'm running on Phoenix v7.
Thank you,
Samuel
I'm not posting because I have a solution to your problem. But I just wanted to say that I have the same exact issue. Same hardware, trying to enable the same band too. I've succeeded at writing the correct NV memory value (524511) and it sticks on reboot but the band is still not enabled. Mind you I haven't figured out how to tell which bands are enabled. I'm also running Phoenix Rom V7.
Perhaps we could get some momentum going on this issue.

Hi exiledfear!
I also have a Galaxy S5 SM-G900F (International version) that I bought in the US last year and want to enable Band 4 so I can use LTE in my country Argentina. I have not attempted to root my phone or write to NV yet, I first want to check whether someone was actually able to get it working using the instructions from http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/how-to-add-rf-lte-frequency-bands-to-t2886059
I will really appreciate if you could provide any hints or tips on how to achieve this

[Q] LTE Connectivity issue on SM-N9005

I am in Pakistan and using Warid carrier which has LTE Band 3 - 1800. I have bought a used Samsung Rooted N9005 BTU (UK) which is I believe supports the my carrier band . The stock rom was 4.2.2 (xxugng1). I have tried all the methods to make the LTE option available but nothing works. Here are the methods I tried :
1. Changing the persist.lteon file, it did not work
2. Changing the lteon_netlist.xml"located in /system/csc/common/etc
3. Change from Service Mode gwl
4 . Alot of other ways
Laslty, I installed a custom rom Lollipop by AryaMOD. The ROM worked well and I could see the LTE option in Mobile Networks menu. Unfortunately, the LTE does not work and still I see the Edge connected. I have verified the APN settings and they are perfect according to my Carrier required parameters. Also, I updated my Modem but still all invain.
Could some one help me to figure out the issue that could be there?
I will really appreciate quick response.
Have you tried a new SIMcard? 90% of the 'LTE doesn't work' cases (in customer services) are related to old or damaged SIMcards.

Custom or modifying modems

I have N910C and I live in Japan.
Note 4's are not sold in Japan at all.
My phone was sold in the UAE.
I want to modify the current modem.bin file, to match the settings of a Japanese Note Edge.
I did a side-by-side comparison using *#0011# on my n910c and S5 Active.
The S5 Active: Band 1, 4 bars signal, LTE
n910c: Band 1, 1 bars signal, 4G/LTE
So can I somehow manually change my modem settings in the driver?
What are my options here?

In your case you do not need to change modem at all just look for Flashable Csc for your region . As you can also manually edit your(If rooted) System >Csc (Folder) but i will not recommend you.
