Use default file manager comes with phone, after Kitkat update third party apps can not write on SD card.

Xposed Module
If thats because of the KitKat restrictions, you can download a Xposed Module named "KitKat SD Card Full Access" activate it and reboot and you're done :victory:

Complete SD card control on lollipop?

I know the lollipop update is supposed to bring write access to the SD card, and it does, in a small way. But it still doesn't allow you full control over it.
For example, on cm12, or on stock lollipop roms on both this tablet and my note 3, I can't download files or torrents directly to my SD card. I have to fill my internal storage first, and then I can move the files on the card.
Back in the kitkat days, using the numerous SD card fixes it allowed me to whatever I wanted with the card, I had complete control over it.
On lollipop the fixes don't work. But is there any way it could work?

This isn't the place to post questions as clearly stated in the purpose of this forum
Post questions in the Q&A section of your device
Install Xposed and then this module, http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.pyler.xinternalsd
Xposed doesn't work on lollipop for xperias unless rovo89 has managed to fix it yet as it bootloops after the first reboot.

Well well Well ......... Its not a difficult thing
You need rooted device and root explorer for that purpose
I am preparing a LP Rom for Z3 and waiting for LB recovery, but i prepare a file for my rom that give us Permissions for SD card
Copy my file from attachment its work with Z2, Z3
Extract it using 7Zip or WinRar
put it on sd card and using root explorer paste it into System\etc\permissions
Replace with old file and set the permission RW/R/R that is 0644
Reboot your device. Now third party apps can be download directly into SD card, but you need to change the download directory in every app.:angel::angel:

Can't copy or move files on SD card (unrooted)

I can't copy or move (but I can delete or rename) files and folders on / from the SD card (SanDisk 8GB) of my unrooted Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (SM-G531F) with Android 5.1.1. I still can create, rename or delete files and folders.
I tried with My files and ES File Explorer, then I formatted the card in phone and with SD Formatter.
With my PC I can copy or move files or folders on / from the SD card.
I changed the SD card with one similar from my Asus TF-101 tablet and the same phone problems occur, but the phone SD card works normally in tablet!
Many thanks in advance!

I'll try.
Please don't reset your whole phone, it won't solve the problem anyways.
With the advent of 5.1.1 Google added a new Media Security Protocol. The affect is that any app that doesn't have root securities can not move or copy files between Int and Ext storage, except those they generate.
The good news is that I know of a FREE file manager that can get around the problem by hooking into Androids Storage Access Framework.
One small problem is that the setting turns itself off frequently, so you have to go back in and turn it back on.
The better news is that it's footprint is only a little bit bigger than 'My Files' and it has a massive amount of capabilities and settings which are 100% configurable.
Enough of the suspense, "Ghost Commander"
Good luck, it's not for the weak of mind.
P.S. To get to the switch;
Top right three dot menu
Location
Home
Storage Access Framework
and search out the Mother directory of your Ext card, then select.
Grumpa
I know this is late but i just had this problem on my note 5.
Try installing / SandiskMemoryZone.Apk should let you move pics and files then.

SD Card Write Access from 3rd party apps??

Has anyone been able to get write access to the SD card from 3rd party apps like FX File Manager? When I try to enable write support it loads the dialog to select to root of the sd card, I do that, and it goes right back to the start of the process. This is the 2nd app that does this. I have the SD card encrypted and am running on the original firmware.
Cheers

Android stopped this awhile ago, you have to use native file Explorer to write to sd

Never tried with that method, but I'd say if it's not working for you still...
Worked once the card was decrypted.
If you're rooted there is Marshmallowsd
Yup or just modify ther permissions file
If you used package disabler pro there is a package that gets disabled by default I've attached a screenshot of the correct one to re-enable
tried package disabler pro on my S7 (SMG930U) but that package was not disable by default.

Apps can have permission to internal storage but I believe sd permissions changed again in oreo and apps can't really access it but you can still link sd folder to bittorrent folder with app2sd
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.co.pricealert.apps2sd
In folder mount set source to bittorrent folder and destination to sd folder
try disabling "fsync" in miscellaneous section of kernel auditor it worked for me ?
