Q. Driver instillation Rockchip - Android Stick & Console RockChip based Computers

*I'll abbreviate device manager as dm
I've got a Cx921 box (RK3188) upon plugging box into computer it shows as NEO X7 (as i stated its a cx921 not X7) along with driver instillation failed in dm, i then uninstall the drivers and replug the device into computer bit shows unknown device in dm i then proceed to update drivers by selecting browse for drivers and pointing to the specific folder within the rockusb folder but this message shows up
so i try the "driver install client" from rockchip and it finishes, but when device is plugged in again it shows with driver instillation failed
Any help...

[Q] Extreme Driver Fail

Hello Everyone,
----------------------------
Nexus 7 Driver Fail
----------------------------
I was Unable to install drivers on Windows XP (ADB and Fastboot Drivers do not load). Every step has failed and multiple drivers fail to install with Code 18 and 28. I’ve tried just about EVERY Tool Kit available out there and searched fourms, still no positive results. If anyone out there may have an answer please feel free to drop it in here, I greatly appreciate all your help. Thank you.
Here is a list of what I have done thus far:
- Rebooted the computer after uninstalling devices with USB Deview before
continuing on to the other steps
- Uninstalling and manually deleting driver from the registry
- Unplugging and repluging the device while watching
the device manager (The device shows up as other devices, Example: nexus and MTP)
- I tried disabling auto driver configuration by Simply pressing the "Disable Auto Driver Config" button and then
changing the settings accordingly
- Registry cleaning
- Removing and manually adding to windows driver folder
- Trying on different User accounts from Admin to guest
- Used Android SDK manual driver installation
- Unplugged the device and Launched USBDevice
- Used USBDeview to uninstall any;
- Android ADB Interface device's
- Samsung USB devices
- Google USB drivers
- ANYTHING else you see that resembles your Nexus.
- Looked for devices with Vendor ID's:"18d1"or"04e8"
I then right clicked these devices, and selected the option to” Uninstall Selected Devices"
-Downloaded The official Asus USB driver off of Asus actual support base
And it said the following: an error occurred during the installation of this device The Parameter is incorrect.
Have I missed this action:
Download the drivers from Asus and unpack them to their own directory.
Connect the N7 with USB debugging enabled in "developer options"
Open Device Manager
Locate the N7
(from here my xp knowledge is rusty)
Right click on the N7 and select properties
Find the option to install/update drivers, Take the option to specify the driver directory where you unpacked the download, ensure that include sub directories is ticked and that should install

I tried the same steps.
I even tried using Android SDK, Universal Naked driver
Still no luck
N7 running 4.2.1 stock

Cannot connect to PC as MTP device

Hi all,
I just got my OP2. My PC is running Windows 10 x64. I cannot see the OP2 as an MTP device. It only shows up as a CD drive with its driver installers.
Here are the stuff I have installed on my PC:
1. OP2 drivers
2. 15 seconds adb installer
3. Microsoft update KB3010081
I can only see the OP2 in device manager as an "MTP USB Device" under "Portable Devices" but it is in error. This still persists even if I enable USB debugging. I installed the update microsoft update above because it is said to fix the MTP driver problem but not in my case.
Any ideas?
Okay nevermind I got it solved thanks to this youtube video: "MTP device driver installation failed , error code 31 solution"
I can't post links yet so just search the keywords on YT. I tried a lot of methods I've read but none worked except this one. I'm just gonna leave this here in case someone faces similar problems.
EDIT: still not fixed. phone now shows up but I cannot see any folder/files

Win 10 x64 - Motorola Device Manager failed to install the correct USB driver

So i finally got around to setting up my laptop anew, and i ran into a little snag. I've installed the Motorola device manager 2.5.4.
My XT1562 is not correctly installed as such when connected... (yes, in PTP mode, adb enabled too)
The phone knows it is connected by USB and charges, it works fine on other PCs
Reinstalled Device Manager, nope
Trying different USB port didn't help
Tried different USB cable for the heck of it
Device Manager shows Android Device "Motorola ADB interface" and one unknown "MTP".
Device shows:
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There are no compatible drivers for this device.
Using the auto update for drivers doesn't work. Manually Specifying the folder for the Motorola Device Manager doesn't work, i checked, there are no drivers lying around in there...
To manually specify the driver i would have to know exactly which device that thing is supposed to be. Hm actually let me check that on the other PC brb
EDIT:
Well, ive never even installed the motorola device manager on the pc (win7 x64) and it just works. Does have the ADB device as unknown in Device Manager.
If you are using Windows 10 or win 8.1 follow this guide to disable driver signature enforcement
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71YAIw7_-kg
For abd drivers
http://adbdriver.com/downloads/
Then reinstall Moto device manager
I've had them installed with signatures before (It was Win10 x64 before too) no problem. Did they mess that up? Thanks ill try it
EDIT
Didn't work. Rebooted with sigs off, reinstalled 2.5.4, no difference
EDIT2: There was no driver signature warning either
Riiight, after some tinkering (including a driver backup from w7 and restore to w10 solution) i figured out the actual problem. I've installed Windows 10 N, and the optional media pack is required for these drivers to work. Go figure.

Cannot install Shield drivers

I have downloaded the proper set of shield drivers.
I have set the shield to enable developer and debugging is on.
When I connect the shield to my Win 7 PC it shows up as an unknown device.
Now when I go to the device manager and try to update my driver for said device with my disc, Windows reports that the latest driver is installed.
I've also tried to right click on the .inf file but it will not install.
It seems that my problem is that the Shield is no showing up as something other than an unknown device.
Suggestions please
TNX
Having the same issue here; windows 10 keeps forcefully installing the "generic drivers". When I try to right click and update, it says the generic drivers are the best option (they're not!). Unfortunately the generic drivers wont show up on adb devices also..
did any1 resolve this

USB driver update failed

Hi
I am a new user for nexus 6p, For the first time I connected my device to Computer running windows 10 updated. My laptop didn't detect the usb and the driver is not installed properly, I tried downloading the latest usb driver but it didnt help , While searching for the driver folder it throws
Windows was unable to install your unkown drive
You can get the USB drivers straight from Google and try to uninstall/reinstall or download Wugfresh's NRT. There is very good driver installation tool and test to confirm you get both USB and fastboot drivers installed properly. Just follow the "Full Driver Installation Guide"

Hi... Do you have ADB enabled in developer options? If you don't have developer options enabled, go in: settings>about phone and type 7 times on the build number, then go back in settings > developer options and enable "android debugging".
Plug your N6 on your computer, check your phone screen and allow press ok when it asks to "allow USB debugging".
Does it change something? Is your N6 recognized in device manager? Does the driver updates?
...
So My puter recognizes my phone fine....
Pop opened the configuration and General tab says:
This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)
A service installation section in this INF is invalid.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.
I try and update the driver using the "Let the puter search" feature and it finds one and tells me:
Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device.
Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.
MPE Device
A service installation section in this INF is invalid.
If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit its website and check the support section for driver software.
This is all AFTER I downloaded the latest Google USB drivers and unzipped them.
Phone is set to MTP mode and debugging mode is unlocked and usb debugging is on.
No Go.
