[Q] Loud Speaker problem on my i9505 - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi im hoping someone can help me with my problem.
My loudspeaker makes alot of warbling sound when anything is played through them, if you change the volume level it makes the same annoying sound, also sounds like interference.
I have replaced my Loudspeaker unit and I have also now replaced the usb board and wiring, as I understand that this is the power source for the loudspeaker.
The Microphone sounds fine, and the headphones are fine as well, as I can listen to youtube etc with no problems. When ringing somebody as well, there is no problem either, so trying to figure out the source of the problem, as it sounds like radio interference and cracking sort of sound.
It had the problem on stock rom and have now changed the rom to Phoenix, so see if that would fix the problem, but with no luck.
Any ideas anybody?

can't hear the ring tone , microphone and speakerphone doesn't work

Hi there,
I am having some issue with my O2 Atom Exec external speaker.
When the phone rings:
- I can't hear the ring tone (phone and pda volume settings turned up to high)
When I pick up:
- microphone does not work
- phone speaker does not work
Actually microphone seems to no longer work same with external speaker. I try to play music and no sound comes out externally. When I use the combined stereo headphones and microphone, these work fine. I have tried a hard reset and looking into the Windows registry for some obscure volume settings but this did not resolve the problem.
Anyone else experiencing a similar issue? Please help,
Hi,
You have a problem with the headphone socket. what I would suggest is play a file in media player and put the headphone plug in halfway and gently move it around left to right. You will know when it's fixed because the sound will start coming out of the speakers. This is a known fault that has been around a long time.
Cheers.

Today I faced this problem, I tried to do everything.
Then I did exactly what you said, and this procedure
fixed my speakers. Thank you ,very very much for help.
We can see this thread below, talking about this problem.

Incall earpiece and speaker bad audio

Hi, I hava an Elfin and today I started to have a problem with the incall audio in the speaker and olso in the earpiece, but when I use the speaker for music or any other sound it works OK, I change ROM, Radio and same problem. Any ideas?
thanks in advance!!!!
You've mentioned problem but haven't specified which kind? Choppy sound, broken coverage, no sound at all. Whats it like? Remove the casing around the speaker and try cleaning it. Dust etc accumulates there pretty quickly. It sounds more like a hardware problem to me....I doubt it would have to do anything with the phone software etc.

Qtek s200 sound gone

Hello,
sound is gone on my S200. Yesterday it all worked just fine, I was listening to some music on the headphones, and this morning I tried to call my gf, and noticed that I have no sound on the device.
The phone rings when somebody is calling me, so I assume its not the speaker, at least not the one on the back.
I can't hear a thing when I call somebody and microphone doesn't seem to be working either. I haven't dropped the phone recently.
Music is only playing via the headphones, same for calls.
Any ideas? I took the back cover off and took a look at the speaker, it seems to be fine, and as I mentioned it rings when somebody calls me.
Could this be a ROM issue? Using WM 6.5

It seems its the stuck headphone socket, I managed to get it working again somehow, but I guess it needs replacing. Any ideas where could I get the whole socket for replacement?

Hey I am having the same problem with the headphone jack.
My phone still "thinks" the headphone is plugged in even when it itsent,
so it plays notifications through the rear speaker but it wont play music and the phones mic and speaker dont work while calling.
what did you do to fix the problem?

Try connecting your headphones again and pull them out slowly, while gently applying pressure(as in bending) and rotating it. That did it for me, works fine for now.

[Q] Problem with microphone

Suddently it seems like my mic's volume is down by 95% and nobody can hear me neither via phone nor via Skype. If I record myself, I have to push up the volume to maximum (which is very high with a volume hack) but then the voice sounds good, with no distortion. It really seems like the mic is obstructed but I can't see anything obvious.
I'm using Omega ROM 13.1, 4.3, KT Kernel.
Can this be caused by a software problem? Any other ideas?
If anybody cares, it turned out the little rubber piece connecting the mic with the outside world was obstructed. I disassembled the phone and cleaned it. Now it sounds perfect again.

My S7 device has an issue with aux sound output

Hello Community,
recently I got that violett line of death. I tried to fix it, but without success.
Now another problem occurred, probably because I was a little bit messy when I tried to fix the pink stripe from within.
The speaker sound remained the same and is still fine, but the sound output through aux got coruppted (sound distortion).
The louder the sound is set, the more scratchy it becomes. If it's set very low, it sometimes isn't distorted.
I assume I damaged something of the board, because it can't be the aux port itself (I changed it) also I don't think it's something to do with the software.
Is there any way you can think of to fix this problem? Maybe though heating the board or putting a special solution on the circuit components that are responsible for aux sound?
I thank you in advance for any reply.
Edit: I also tried different earphones
