Help to regain warranaty - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My D802 G2 came with a defect out of the box previously illustrated in that thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/help/urgent-plz-help-detecting-problem-t2821797/post54271003 ) but anyway i changed the software multiple times actually and the problem didnt change in any of them so apparently its a hardware problem and it has to go to warranaty but it shows ROOTED in red in the download mode and that would void my warranaty ..... plz guys help me ....how to make it show UNROOTED in white again .....but plz give a method that doesnt involve root and custom recovery as im completly noob and if i brick that device i would be in a heart attack .....thx in advance

You need to go to the general forum and find the get back to stock thread and follow the directions for the d802. Beware that you will lose everything on the device

Hi don't know about visionary but there is an easier way to root if you have adb installed.. Search for GSMroot.. Or I'll post later as am on mobile... If you do want to send it back just flash the oringal rom from HTC website. I doubt you hero is bricked.
Edit : http://www.villainrom.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?1930-How-To-Root-The-2.1-RUU-or-OTA-Update-For-The-Hero
THe above is a good guide I use presuming you have ADB installed
but do remember to copy a custom rom to your sd card as update.zip
so that you can install it when you boot into recovery, cause otherwise you will loose root on rebooting and get to the red triangle with the exclamation mark.
good luck
hi again
could someone plz let me know in detail how can i flash original rom .i dont have adb installed. i just want to return it and dont want them to know i was trying to root .plz i need to return it in a day or two ..(

[Q] Rooted Showing in Download Mode

Hi,
I'm using the international version of LG G2 D802, bought in Bulgaria. So my question, is it possible to remove that message which shows you are or you've been rooted before by flashing stock firmware. And if it is can you show me a video/text tutorial how to do it? Thanks.
Sorry, but currently there is no way to remove the red ROOTED in download mode.
I am confused on what this means then. I have not done anything to my phone except enable developer options and in download mode my phone shows rooted. Why would this happen?

I can only think of three reasons: Now there may be others I can not think of at this time....
1: You rooted the phone.
2: You received the phone rooted.
3. My favorite, The immaculate rooting.
Truly I can not think of another way but I have been known to be wrong before.
flash back to stock firmware and u r clean

I cannot flash back to stock. I am on stock. I have not rooteed this phone. I have only had this phone for 6 days. I would clearly remember if I rooted it. Unless running LG's PC Suite software or LG's LGMobile support Tool can root it then I am guilty of that but that is all I have done.

Just checked with TMO and while on the phone with them I went into download mode again and today it said Unrooted. TMO said LG was updating it's services and that is why it showed me rooted. Of course I didn't talk to anyone technical.
Last night the Code was B41 Rooted today is B99 Unrooted.
anyone have clues to what the codes are?
Still "Rooted"
I have sucessfully used the normal unrooting method in my D805, by flashing back to stock with Lg Flash Tool. I lost rooting permission under android and the system allowed OTA updates (with was denied when rooted). However, in download mode it still shows the device as "rooted". Any thoughts on how to delete it?
Why don't you try to unroot it using something to flash if there is and then flaah back to stock. I mean use something like unroot.zip or similar to first unroot and after that go back to stock.
Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
Any luck?
So... anyone managed to properly change the red "rooted" on the Download Mode to "unrooted"?
The only reason holding me back from rooting and flashing custom roms on my international G2 is this problem.
As much as I love rooting all my Android devices, I'll still prefer to have a recovery solution in case I need my warranty to get some minor hardware issues fixed.
If anyone managed to overcome the root checker please do reply my message with your solutions (and some "before and after" screens if possible). Many thanks!

All you have to do is perform a factory reset (While powered off, hold PWR+VOL.Down key until you can factory reset. After that, the phone should show up as unrooted.

red rooted still showing
hy, i have the intl. version of the g2 and rooted the phone on the 4.2.2
after 1 day i have reverted to stock, following the thread on xda - there are more others on web, but have the same structure/basics
problem is that in download mode it shows ROOTED in red, although i have reverted to stock 4-5 times and with different stock roms (eur/asian/etc) but nothing new - the red rooted is still there in download mode - the phone is not rooted anymore
i have tried to hard reset but no change!
if any had this issue and resolved in some way - please respond
btw - i have updated to kitkat in march - the red rooted is still there
i have reverted the kitkat to stock 4.2.2 but no success - red rooted still present
i'm worried if my phone needs to be sent to warranty - it will be rejected and then i will brick my brain

sorry but no luck for me and others.
the red rooted status is still there.
UPDATE: after i flash the official rom for my g2 (4.2.2 or 4.4.2) the status is showed as UNROOTED, but if i need to do a factory reset then the status show ROOTED with red for the rest of the time and nomatter how many times i reset to factory!
conclusion - the red ROOTED status appears only (and remains there all the time) after the first factory reset!
if someone can help with this we (already a community) are wery greatfull
for now the problem has no valid solution!

Weird error flashing back to stock. D800

Background
Phone: LG G2 D800.
Where problem Arised: Flashing Paranoid Android Rom, missed a step. Forgot to install the boot image (I think)
Current Things not working: TWRP Recovery disappeared ( I really have no clue what the hell happened to it. Just not able to get into it anymore), Phone is in boot loop at PA loading screen. Using LG Flash tool , I keep getting an error telling me that I have the wrong .bin for my phone, but I'm certain the dll and tot I attempted to install are for my phone model. Meanwhile, LG mobile support tool freezes when trying to check my phone settings.
What is working: I can definitely get into download mode. So maybe there's still hope.
Any help guys?
I'm seriously stumped. Gonna maybe try emergency on LGNPST
I think this is the definition of hard brick. send it in, paid the cash to get it fix, get it back, read instruction carefully and flash.
Any good services you know of?

On this topic, do you know a good place I can send it in to be fixed? And what method do they use, if so?
Cause I'm only really going to send it in at this point if it's a jtag flash. They tend to be really quick, and I haven't lost hope with it just yet .

Bricked, cant move past Download mode Help!

So im pretty sure my phone is soft bricked when i tried to flash a rom, all i can do is put it in the download mode, and the screen is on but just barely you can't really even tell. So im stuck here, i saw that the one click unbrick is for samsung phones. And does this mean that i have to return to stock, and will it mean that i will also be unrooted as well? Has anyone unbricked their device successfully? Any advice is appreciated. I really need to fix my phone quickly.
Check this out.

Samsung Galaxy A8 (A-800I) Stuck on Logo Screen with red Custom Binary blocked by FRP

Hello all!
First of all i want to thank this site (and the people behind it) that makes everything android possible.
I feel privileged to be a member of this forum specially on rough times like what i am facing right now.
I rooted my Galaxy A8-A800i the other day and everything went great. I followed the instructions that i found here. Unfortunately, yesterday i turned off the OEM Unlock on my phone. Now, as the thread title says it. it is stuck on the Logo Screen with the annoying " Custom Binary blocked by FRP Lock ". i read a guide that ashyx made and i felt stupid. I didn't know that turning the OEM Unlock will do that to my Phone.
Right now, I am digging deep on this forums to try and revive my phone that is currently in Brick state.
i am downloading a firmware from sammobile for my phone, the problem i have is... i don't know how to use it. I don't know much about my phone but I do want to learn a lot and i know that this is the right place. I would like to ask assistance on how to use the firmware that I am downloading right now, and also, can i make the Knox Counter go "0" again?
Thanks for everything guys. I highly appreciate everything i've learned here so far.
EDIT: Sorry this post wasn't supposed to be here. Please delete it. i moved it to Troubleshooting.
i hade same issue which a800iz , download rom for your phone , and flash boot and recovery , it must working
Sorry for the late reply. Yes, my phone is working now. I installed the official stock firmware to correct the problem.
