Odin.
It will let you flash back to the stock ROM. If you are on the 4.4 bootloader though you can only go back so far. You can't go back to 4.2. I'm not sure about 4.3.
You can also restore the Nandroid backup of your stock rom that you should have made before you flashed CyanogenMod

You need to use the search feature here on xda. This is probably the single most covered topic in Samsung forums. There are dozens of very detailed guides on odin and how to use it.
There is even one stickied to the help posts at the top of this forum.

Help with 4.1.2

Hi guys this is the first time i have rooted and flashed a device. I managed rooting my N7 and flashing PA Rom and Motley kernel. Now I want to flash back to stock rom and update to 4.1.2 via OTA or directly flash the official 4.1.2 pure stock. However I still want to maintain root and CWM. Is this possible? Can someone please help me out with details as kind of a noob. I even want to understand how Titanium Backup works. If i backup my apps and then do a factory reset while flashing a new rom how does the backup remain if everything is lost in factory reset. Thanks a lot for helping.

Do it manually like I did, its just as quick as the OTA, you keep all your files and I didn't loose root, was done in 5 mins.
Heres the thread to the manual tutorial:

Good question, That I couldn't tell you mate because I don't use custom ROM's. I shouldn't see why not, give it a go and let us know the results?

The update can only be applied to a completely stock rom, if you have made any changes to the rom(build.prop edits, etc) the zip will fail to flash

You need a stock RUU, but I'm not sure where to find those. Once you have the stock RUU, adb push the update and your all strawberries and cream
The update will fail if build.prop is modifed and most custom roms modify that. So it would be safer to flash stock image and sideload the update.
Or else wait for the custom ROM developer to incorporate those changes.

couple questions.

Sorry about these questions all Im sure they are newb but I just want to make sure before I go about doing anything....
1. I am rooted on MF9 and thinking about going to the google Rom is there a 4.3 out for the Sprint version or it just 4.2.2 just need a no or if yes a little link to help me out due too I have not seen one.
2. If I go to google rom and decide I want to go back to MF9 how do I go about doing this in odin do I use official MF9 software? or what?
The GE rom posted here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2345386
is off of the 4.2.2 GE S4.
If you're looking for a rom based off of 4.3, give the Cyanogen Rom 10.2 nightly a shot, located here. http://get.cm/?device=jfltespr
The thread describing bugs, and all that fun stuff is here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2405081
To go back to stock, you can either flash the stock M9F rom through custom recovery, or odin everything back to stock using this thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2357471
ok thanks for clarification saw it just wanted to make sure and what what files would be good to Odin back to stock just MF9 stock file?

Use either the post above for pure stock or this
Download Deodexed No Data Wipe Tar from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2357471
For stock + root + busybox
Assuming you have a custom recovery installed just make a backup in recovery before flashing the new ROM. Then you can revert to your old rim anytime you like.
ok cool thanks everyone for your help new to the S4 things so trying to catch up yea Im running MF9 Rooted at the moment with CWM about to see what this google rom and just trying to make sure I don't brick my phone taking it calm and easy for a bit will get more gutsy soon enough lol

[Q] Using MK6 modem with MDL firmware with AOSP

Hi everyone. I'm picking up an at&t i337 that's running the stock JB 4.2.2 UCUAMDL firmware, and has not been yet upgraded to 4.3. I intend to flash a custom recovery, ROM, kernel and I want to flash the MJ6 modem. Here's my question; if I flash a 4.4.2 AOSP ROM, can I safely flash the MJ6 modem that comes from 4.3? I'm running the MJ6 modem on my other S4 thats on the MK6 firmware with safestrap, and it's giving me great reception, downloads, etc.
Thanks,
Mike
Yes. If you root your amdl phone and put a custom recovery on it you can flash what ever you want through it.
I used motochopper method back when I did it. It puts root and twrp on for you

[Q] How can I upgrade my stock rooted rom

I have searched the forum and have been overwhelmed with threads that I can't seem to make fit my situation so I apologize if I've overlooked something obvious.
I have an AT&T S4 That came running UCUAMDL. I rooted when I first got it and have not done anything sense. I would like to update the stock rom but I don't want to lose root. At this time I'm not interested in custom roms although I've done it before on my S2. What would be the best option to achieve this aim.
Thank you in advance and again sorry if I missed this somewhere.

Your best option would to be to flash a 4.4.2 custom rom. There is no root for the latest, nb1, firmware.

Thanks for the quick response. Makes since. So as long as I flash a custom rom I don't have to worry about bootlock or anything, right? What's the closest rom to stock as far as stability & compatibility?
Again, much appreciation.

Then I would try kangakat which I believe is loki'd. Make a backup in twrp of your current rom before you do anything. If you don't have titanium backup, get it and backup your apps. And make sure you have Google's backup and restore checked, settings, backup& restore.

Yes I have titanium backup and I will be sure to back up everything.
I was not familiar with loki so I did a little reading. Correct me if I'm wrong here but loki is something the rom developer uses to make it so my rom installation will go around the boot loader. I don't need to install anything related to loki I just need to make sure any rom that I chose is "loki'd". Correct? Therefore if my understanding is correct, once i've taken backup precautions, I would copy the loki'd rom to my sd card and flash via TWRP?
Again, I want to thank you for your help.

Loki is something the ROM developer can use. You either need to make sure the ROM is loki'd, or if you ever want to try something like an I9505 ROM, flash the loki-doki zip file after flashing the ROM (i'm not sure where the link is). Most ROMs in our dev section will have loki included, but i'd keep the loki-doki zip on your SD card just in case.

[Q] Help!!! Flashed my S4 to Danvdh GE 4.4.2 and it keeps rebooting!!!

First of all, thanks for reading this...
Here goes the story. I have a Galaxy S4 SGH-I337 AT&T. Yesterday I updated to 4.4.2 OTA. The idea of flashing to google edition ROM came into my mind so I did some research. I found 4.4.2 with NB1 baseband cannot be rooted and it has to downgrade to 4.3 first. So I followed this link:
[NB1►DOWNGRADE★UPDATE◄MK2] ★ [NB1 FULL ODIN] ★ [100% SS ROOTED STOCK] ★ [Mar.23.2014]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2663545
to do so. Everything worked fine. I installed Safestrap-v3.71. Then, I downloaded GOOGLE EDITION 4.4.2 BY Danvdh from (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2537495) and followed this link:
http://www.teamandroid.com/2014/01/...42-kitkat-danvdh-google-edition-custom-rom/2/
to install Danvdh GE 4.4.2. The post said it needs CWM however I was unable to install CWM on my phone so I assume Safestrap should work the same. I used Safestrap to install the zip and got a successful message.
HOWEVER, when I reboot the phone, it just keeps rebooting (i.e., power on, Samsung logo, black, vibrate and reboot again)!!
Please help!!
Oh, I did not flash Loki doki. Is that causing the problem???
I don't think that rom will work with ss. If you have an i337 I think you need a mdl firmware.

There is a guide below with all the answers you seek young Android flashing apprentice. Please slow down & read it thoroughly before flashing anything. Reading saves phones! If the method or rom you want isn't posted in the guide, it can't be done on your MK2 S4. All the roms that will work on MK2 firmware are listed as well as the way to flash the listed Kit Kat roms too. I recommend you try the At&t roms 1st instead of the international versions. Please thank the op in the threads that help you. Good luck. :fingers-crossed:

You can't flash any AOSP roms with safestrap, only Touchwiz based ones. Your bootloader is locked so it's impossible for you to flash any vanilla android or google edition roms.
The "I337UCUFNB1 100% Stock Rooted ROM" is basically stock GS4 Touchwiz firmware that is rooted.
