Sprint Corporate PRL - 56029 ... Non-Corporate PRL - 51104 - Sprint Galaxy S 5 General

The current Sprint Corporate PRL is 56029
The current Sprint Non- Corporate PRL is 51104
I will update this thread when a new PRL is released.
The PRL is inside the zip file.
THIS WILL NOT FLASH IN RECOVERY!
If anyone would like to add the non-corporate PRLs, please send me a copy of them in a zip file. @tdunham and @jcfunk - Thanks for the non-corporate
Some information on these PRLs (condensed from this link)
Corporate PRLs (CL) will allow nationwide roaming on EVDO
53xxx PRLs - AWM Extended Mobile Broadband Roaming PRL identical to 12xxx, and supports GSM.
12xxx PRLs - Sprint Extended Mobile Broadband Roaming PRL provides EVDO Roaming nationwide for 2011 devices going forward that supports Network Vision.
Non-Corporate PRLs (IL) will allow nationwide roaming on 1x only
51xxx PRLs - AWM Individual Liable PRL identical to 21xxx, and supports GSM.
21xxx PRLs - Sprint BC10 PRL supports Network Vision with 2011 devices and going forward.
Our phones are just BC10 (ESMR) which means they can use the 800 mhz SMR frequencies repurposed from the old iDen network. Unfortunately we don't have SV-LTE, which means we can't use Data and Voice at the same time.

How to write the PRL to your phone:
With CDMA Workshop:
http://androidxda.com/download-samsung-usb-drivers - Galaxy Series USB Drivers
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54187200&postcount=1078 - How to set your Galaxy S 5 to write with CDMA Workshop
http://androidforums.com/boost-mobi...lly-update-your-prl-cdma-workshop-method.html - How to write the PRL (Only follow from OPEN CDMA WORKSHOP down).
Without a Computer (ensure you are on a rom that includes PRL Write Enabled) :
Pictures and the walkthrough are explained here ... Below is a rehash of this information without the pictures
1. Extract TEST.prl from the PRL Zip that you want to flash
2. Place TEST.prl in the root of the /sdcard folder or the /Phone folder in windows (do NOT put it in /mnt/extSdCard or the /Card/ folder if you are in Windows)
3. Turn off WIFI and Mobile Data on the phone
4. Dial ##DATA# (##3282#) and select "View"
5. Select PRL WRITE then hit the button labeled "PRL WRITE" (your device will reboot at this point)
6. Once your device turns back on, turn WIFI and Mobile Data back on.
7. Goto Settings -> About device -> Status and confirm "PRL version" matches the version you wished to flash
If you are not on a ROM that has PRL Write Enabled - Follow the information posted here - It has been confirmed this can work on DEODEX and ODEX ...
If you are rooted but do not have a custom recovery you can extract HiddenMenu.apk (located in the zip file under /system/app) and manually push it into the /system/app folder of your phone. Then change the permissions to 0755 and it should work.
How to revert your phone back to your stock PRL:
Goto Settings -> System Update -> Update PRL ... One that finishes you should get the message "The PRL has been Updated. Press OK to continue".
Goto Settings -> About device -> Status and confirm "PRL version" has reverted (note: It may not revert to the same one you previous had if a new PRL update has been released. It will revert to whatever PRL your phone should be on).

I believe the answer is yes. The method should work with all CDMA versions of the Galaxy S5

I thought the changing it to Test.prl and putting on the root of internal sd was the way to do it.

dont try to flash the zip i posted in CWM or anything.... you have to download qualcomm product support tools
extract the zip file i had to your desktop
turn usb debugging on your phone
adb shell getprop ril.MSL
write down the 6 digit number
disconnect usb cable
turn off usb debugging
type ##8778# in your dialer
make USB and UART modem instead of pda
plug phone into usb (it'll install drivers you might need to restart pc i forget)
open QPST, add port, uncheck the "show only" box click the usb port you plugged your phone into
on the top click start clients//service programming
click your phone and start
go to the roam tab
hit read from phone
enter your MSL 6-digit #
in the "enable perferred roaming" box click browse and point to the prl file you want
click write to phone, it will reboot, and your prl is updated
edit: forgot to mention after you're done enter ##8778# again and change usb back to pda (uart stays as modem)
You guys are aware that a 61677 PRL is up and out right?..

[Index] PRL

Hey, just thought it would be a good idea to keep an updated list of the PRLs for sprint for our HTC Evo if you choose to opt out of OTA or otherwise just need to revert to an older PRL or something.
Here is some general PRL info:
PRL Definition - (Preferred Roaming List)
The PRL is a list of information that resides in the memory of some kinds of digital phones. It lists the radio frequencies the phone can use in various geographic areas.
The part of the list for each area is ordered by the bands the phone should try to use first. Therefore it's a kind of priority list for which towers the phone should use.
The PRL helps determine which home-network towers to use, and also which towers belonging to other networks to use in roaming situations (areas where the home network has no coverage.) When roaming, the PRL may instruct the phone to use the network with the best roaming rate for the carrier, rather than the one with the strongest signal at the moment.
Since a PRL tells the phone "where" to search for a signal, as carrier networks change over time, an updated PRL may be required for a phone to "see" all of the coverage that it should, both with the home network and for roaming. Originally Posted by navalynt

From the QPST tools, launch QPST Service Programming. (Warning: This is an incredibly powerful tool, and it has the capabilities to completely brick your phone, rendering it useless. If you do not know what something does, don't touch it!)
Make sure that your phone is selected, and click OK.
Click the Read from Phone button. This is where you will enter your MSL/SPC code.
Browse to the Roam tab.
In the Preferred Roaming box, click browse. Choose your PRL file. (Note: While this shows the 60650 version, this version may or may not work for you, and this may not be the latest version.)
Double check that you didn't change anything you weren't supposed to!
Click the Write to Phone button. (Note: You may be promoted for your MSL/SPC code again.)
Soft reset your phone.
Enjoy!

It does work from myn rom

Its a bit of a process. But I think its worth it. You have to enable modem mode by dialing a #*#* code. Enter the code and Samsung 16 digit generic unlock code. Then you get access to anything on your phone

this method is 10xs easier.
1. Download the PRL.zip folder
2. Unzip PRL onto sdcard root (I used ES File Explorer)
3. Download MSL reader from the market, give it SU access
4. Tap read MSL...write down the 6 digit MSL/SPC Number
5. In the phone dialer dial ##775#
6. In prompt enter the your MSL/SPC number as password
7. Tap Update PRL. Navigate to your PRL file
8. Tap setting button and select Commit Changes.

[Guide] Update any Motorola Charm to lates T-Mobile firmware (Working 2G / 3G)

Hey Guys,
The Admins decided to basically add the Charm forums into the Flipout forums, so far only the main forum heading has been changed, hopefully the admins will do the rest of the changes soon.
In the meanwhile, i thought it would be useful to post useful threads on the charm porting, basically since flipout and charm are the same phone with a different design, these should be applicable with respective changes to flipout also.

Thanks for the clear guide. Had a lot of difficulty with this back a year or two ago when I first got my Charm.
Does anyone know if the T-Mo (1700/2100) and 850/1900/2100 Charms have any hardware differences? Or is the 3G bands support purely in software?
I'm actually wondering if it's possible to do the opposite of this guide. That is, flash my existing deblur SBF, but with the T-Mobile BP files, to convert my Telus Charm into one that works on T-Mobile/Wind/Mobilicity.

yes you can but you will have to download telus sbf and T-mobile sbf, then replace firmware of t-mo sbf with that of the telus then copy bp files from telus to t mo, its given in the guide.
but after flashing t-mo ROM you can flash any other sbf other than. t mo as the bootloader gets updated.
but you could try the reverse to obtain a telus ROm working on T mo. Don't have either of these, so can't test it out also.
Cool, thanks. Will try it and report back.

You'll need to update the apn settings for your carrier. Look around on the forums or search web, there are instructions. Your carrier's website could be helpful too, for example Bell Mobility (Canada): http://support.bell.ca/Mobility/Sma..._Nexus_One_for_the_Bell_Mobility_HSPA_network

Well my Carrier is Telcel in Mexico, but i have already created the APN settings for it.. but thers no option to turn on the data services... in some other forum they told me that the baseband frecuencies arent compatible and the only way of getting my 3g data back is to restore the device to the original LATAM firmware.. which i guess im not able to do since i cant go back from the TMOBILE bootloader..
PLease tell me im wrong and that there is a way of doing this..
Im gbuessing maybe sending it to motorola and they could do some magic?...

Hmm, weird, so you copied the bp_nvm_default files as above, and your 3G is working for calls but not for data?
Maybe try re-flashing the ROM?
I have a Charm that was originally on Telus (Canada), they use the same frequencies as Telcel (850/1900) for HSPA. Flashed the T-Mobile sbf and lost 3G, but replacing the bp_nvm_default files made the 3G work with Telus again. Took a couple of tries though - it's a bit finicky. Had to re-flash T-Mobile ROM a couple of times before the mod worked.

You are giving me hope here hehe ..
Well i did replaced the bp_nvm_default files...
You see after the flash of the Tmobile rom i had to do that in order for the phone to recognize the Telcel network.. so after i replaced the bp_nvm_default files, it worked and i can make calls.. and access 2g and 3g networks..
Then i went to wireless settings and added the APN info for telcel.. MMS, GPRS, and 3G... Everything ok there or so it seems..
Then i went to Data Delivery Settings.. but there is no option to turn off the Data services for 3g or 2g for that matter...
I have seen this in some other T Mobile roms (in a droid 2)....
Any clues..?? do you have a way to enable 3g data in your settings?...

Please doo
Hey guys, I got stuck on T-Mo firmware T-Mobile_MB502_02.60.5_1FF_01, trying to unlock my phone but the band of my operator is for 850-1900, so no phone calls.
I followed this tutorial and it looks that it worked but after RSD finishes and restart the phone, I'm geting the message "SIM network unlock phone" does this means that:
--- it is recognizing the band of my operator (Claro - Colombia) but I need to use one of the services that offers the unlock code like "unlockallcellular.com"?--- that was the point of doing the flash anyways...
or
--- for step "E- Restore network" I need the files from the - "bp_nvm_default" - folder from a actual working Charm on my network? I'm using the ones given on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=903969&page=4 (TELUS) is there any unlocked ones?
or
--- Am I doing anything wrong? :crying::crying::crying::crying: I've done the procedure like 10 times...
Thanks in advance for any help!!!

[UK] My Galaxy S4 never shows 4G symbol in 4G area

I've heard the H+ symbol should turn to 4G symbol when in a 4G area.
I've never seen the 4G symbol appear when I'm definitely in 4G areas (including Birmingham and central London).
Is the information I've received wrong, or is there a setting wrong on my phone?
The phone is set to "WCDMA/GSM (auto connect) and is running the latest Samsung ROM (Android 4.4).
My service provider is Three.
EDIT: Solved! Root, then navigate to Data then Property. Rename Persist.radio.lteon (don't delete in case something goes wrong) and reboot.
The phone have to be set in LTE/WCDMA/GSM for receive 4G. The firmware installed should be the problem. Anyway dial *#1234# and attach the screenshot pls :highfive:

Do I have to wipe it all or can I simply re-flash the ROM you linked to?

That's not true in the slightest.
I have friends on Three and they get the LTE option (and it shows 4G in the status bar).

Hmm, Is your phone rooted by any chance? Then try this , if its gonna fix your problem Open root Explorer > then Data > Property> Look for Persist.radio.lteon > Open in text editor and Check if it say False and change it to true > save then reboot.

*#*#4636#*#* gives "number is not recognized"
*#*#4636*#*# gives "Connection problem or invalid MMI code."
Weird, works on 4.4 GE. There might be an app you can use to access that menu - I had one once but can't remember what it was called.

He has the Google Edition, so his codes will be different to ours.
Try this?
I have been told this works. Remember to BACK UP!
"Root the phone, download a file explorer, grant the app root access then go to data/property then delete the file persist.lteon.xml and reboot the phone."
If anyone has tried it let me know!

I renamed it (safer) and rebooted - and LTE has appeared in settings now!
I'm not in an LTE area right now but I will be in a few hours. I'll run a speed test and report back!
