[Q] Lockscreen PIN lost - USB debugging deactivated - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
I cant unlock my lockscreen on Galaxy Note 3 anymore. No entered PIN is accepted. The USB debugging is deactivated and stock recovery installed. Unfortunatly I have important data on my phone which isnt recoverable otherwise. So my main questin is how can I activate USB debugging without access to the phone. In best case the solution is possible without KNOX void.
Thanks in advance
Nerade
Edit: I'm at least one firmware version behind. I can't specify exact version number.

ROM with USB debugging already enabled

hi,
I am looking for a ROM I can flash via ODIN and has USB Debugging enabled. It can be any android version.
The reason : my screen is totally broken (both LCD and digitizer). I want to use the phone as a security camera. However, to accomplish this I have to control the phone somehow. There is a way but it requires ADB access which I don't have since USB Debugging was not enabled before the screen broke, and I can't enable it now.
And in case there is such ROM but for CWM only, is it possible to convert it to Odin file?
Thanks a lot.

[Q] Broken Screen: Recover data without wipe? (bootloader locked)

Hello all,
my Nexus 4 touchscreen just broke and doesn't react anymore on inputs, while display is visible. As my efforts in prior investigation resulted in only more questions, I rather prefer to make a table of my current phone and knowledge status for quick assessment:
OS: Android 5.1.1. "Lollipop"
Bootloader: locked
LCD: working
Touchscreen: defect
USB Debugging: off (most likely)
Response:
adb devices: none (empty list)
fastboot devices: device found (serial number)
OTG support: unknown
OTG cable: not available yet
Phone State: Screen Lock (by SIM)
According to following post on xda (2013) leading further to this guide the solution seems to be outdated and only working for android prior to version 4.3.
Avoiding an accidental wipe is of superior importance. Any solution to save the data is acceptable to me, but I would rather prefer to try out "fail safe"-solutions first. Any ideas?
I think your out of luck, you need USB debugging on,
If you have a otg adapter, you might be able to use a mouse and keyboard to navigate around to enable USB debug
I haven't tried it,
If it's only a sim pin you can jut remove the SIM. Otherwise only solution is http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...de-internal-memory-data-recovery-yes-t1994705 which will require you to unlock your bootloader and wipe the device. You should still be able to recover most data.

Alternative method to access locked phone w broken screen?

Hi, thanks in advance for helping.
This is the situation.
I want to backup as much as possible items from my phone since it's broken, but:
- The screen is broken
- Device is locked
- USB debugging is DISabled.
I already searched a lot and tried the cmd adb commands to unlock it, but since usb debugging is disabled my device is not found..
I also tried to unlock my device using findmymobile, but somehow it won't unlock it.
I am now able to get Kies to recognize my phone (using recovery mode) and Kies of course noticed my device is locked.
Before I go to the store and buy that OTG cable, I was wondering if there is any way to change the registry of Kies and trick it into thinking my device is not locked. Sorry if this is a really weird question to ask.
OR is there any other way I can unlock my phone from my laptop? I know the pin code, so that is not the problem.
Thanks in advance.

Regarding s6 edge plus, I have a SM-G928I, is it possible to enable usb debugging without going into developer options ? A friend bought a second hand phone and its locked to an account unfortunately, and ODIN wont connect so ican root/reflash due to im assuming the usb debugging not being enabled.

SM-G935FD: Black broken screen with no USB debugging enabled, how to backup?

Hi all,
My Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935FD) has broken screen after a drop. The screen is black or flickering with green, but I think that it still reacts to touch. The firmware was upgraded to Oreo stock very recently, and the phone is not password or pattern protected. USB debugging is disabled (it has never been enabled) and the phone is OEM protected, so flashing a custom recovery with ODIN doesn't work (I tried). I'd like to backup the data, and I need to find a way to enable USB debugging for that. I see two options:
- Boot into maintenance mode to activate USB debugging in spite of the black screen, using physical keys. The thing is that I can't seem to boot into maintenance mode with that version of the phone following instructions found online (maybe this maintenance mode is specific to some versions or carriers, or am I missing something here?).
- Blindly activate USB debugging using an external keyboard. To do that, I would greatly appreciate help from one of you to know the exact sequence of keys.
Hope I can get this working!
Thanks
No one with a keyboard and OTG adapter to help me on that?
Thanks!
