[Q] some help on porting aosp to n3 - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys, :good:
I just started yesterday on building a aosp based custom rom for note 3, but I'm stuck somewhere and I'm here to ask something about my port session.
Firstly in the guides I've readed there says that I have to find the device tree and vendor propietary files. I have found something on git hub:
https://github.com/sibeveyh/device_samsung_hlte
https://github.com/sibeveyh/vendor_samsung/tree/kitkat/hlte
found these two binaries what do I have to do with these? Which one should I use? Where do I have to place it?
Thanks for the help

some help??

[Q] Guide build cm from source on mac or windows for i9500

I know that there are a lot of threads for compiling cm for many other phones but are there any dev available to make a guide for our beloved S4 i9500. The more people compiling cm for this device would be better and possibility of more bug fixes if we learn enough to do that. Been reading up a lot on this but was still wondering if a build guide can be posted please.
Hey man did u manage to get the tutorial coz im looking for it too and i have managed to download android 4.4 Supernexus source but i need help as well compiling for the Gt - I9500

Before you cherry pick you must be able to build ROMs from source. I assume you haven't built before. Building is a moderately difficult process. You may search on Google regarding tutorials for building roms from source (ignore the tutorials teaching you how to use an android kitchen). After you have downloaded the source code you can start buildin and cherry picking. Regarding how to download and stuff you can start from here -

NEED HELP: breakfast cant find my device repositories

Hello guys,
due to the fact that no one has answered me yet on the thread regarding the haven of Halium and I do not really get any further with Halium I ask now again about a new build of Sailfish OS. I was downloading the Source Code of Sailfish OS and added already the device Repos of my Galaxy s4 (i used Cyanogenmod 13.0) to my local Manifests folder. But now I've got the problem that the build tools not recognize my device specific repositories, when I'm trying to use " breakfast jfltexx ". So it gives me an output like:
Can't find device specs for jfltexx.
So guys what can I do to solve that problem?
And which version of hybris do you recommend me?
Thank you very much!
EDIT
Okay I decided to use hybris-14.1 instead of hybris-13.0 cause of weekly builds of lineageos 14.1

Z300C source code has been released

Hi everyone,
I just noticed that the Z300C Source code has been released by ASUS (2020/11/04).
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/EeePAD/Zenpad/Z300C/Z300C_V4.7.5-update.tar.gz
Any enthusiast who are willing to help me try to build it ?
Edit:
I uploaded the source code on Github if anybody is interested in it :
https://github.com/dchenaux/android_kernel_asus_p023
So the build worked
I created a zImage.
Now i'm wondering what would be the next steps ?
My goal would be to make an aosp ROM.
I found some basic device tree for the tablet which I forked here :
https://github.com/dchenaux/android_device_asus_p023
I'm currently investigating how to achieve that. I never ported aosp for an unsupported device. If you have any advice I would be happy !
sadly i have no idea about how to build a rom, but i hope you reach the goal!
also, could you help me find out what file controls battery charging?
btw how did you find out about the release of the source code?
Hey
Sorry I didn't have time until now to investigate further, but it's still in my todo list.
I was looking for the stock rom on the Asus website and I saw that the source code was available.
Hi, any luck on making a custom ROM yet? (Sorry for the bad English)
