Accelerometer? (Vegacomb)

Hi guys, I'm on the latest Vegacomb, I can play Need For Speed or SpeedX using the accelerometer, however, if I try Turbofly 3D (Wipeout clone) or something like Satellites AR then the accelermoter doesn't work at all
UPDATE:
Krazy Karting - the cars just turn right
Riptide GP - even with graphics on lowest setting it takes nearly a second to respond to turning, this makes the game near impossible to play (works perfectly on highest setting on my Galaxy Nexus)
any ideas?
did turbofly work on any other rom , i have always played it with screen controls because even with a perfectly working accelerometer on all my other games it never worked on this game, and i have used all the available roms
Don't know mate, only got my vega about a day after this rom was released
i think Turbofly 3D is also having problem on dropad a8 tablet, guess the game got bug.

Sorry for late reply.
You can try how precise the accelerometer is with this app.
If you can't access it thru the market (like me) I've extracted the apk from my phone and put it on megaupload.
Sorry I can't tell you how precise it is on my unit, because the accelerometer is broken and I will send my unit back for repair in few days/weeks.
This app is monitoring only z-position (green) and it's not moving, but it should go up/down if I move my tablet around.
On my phone all positions are jumping up/down when I move my phone.
I hope that this app works for you and you can see the latency, or how good your accelerometer works on your tablet.

Cheers, it force closes on mine
OK, I'm back with some news.
After 1 month my tablet's accelerometer just started working on it's own again.
And here are the results of my findings:
Riptide GP v1.0.1 and v1.3:
- With G-Sensor: it just turns right
- Without G-Sensor: it just turns left
That is all in normal tablet position (landscape).
But if I turn the tablet in portrait (90-degrees left), then I can steer left/right with 1 second delays but the game is not playable anyway because the picture is turned 90-degres.
Krazy Kart Racing v1.2.7:
- With G-Sensor: reverse steering
- Without G-Sensor: perfectly normal steering, no lag whatsoever
Only the graphics was a little bit low, but it's OK.
And the "Accelerometer" app I gave you worked flawlessly!
All three positions were jumping up and down and there we no delay, everything worked snappy (with or without G-Sensor enabled).
I tried all these on stock Android v2.2!
Hope that helps, but I know you have other problems with your tablet right now.
i have the exact same problem you described in riptide with the stock 2.2 rom. how did you manage to fix it? whats this accelerometer app that you mention?

xperia play accelerometer off to the left

hello so i have a r800x and recently i went to play temple run and the runner was staying to the left of the screen. so i thought it was just the app and re downloaded it but same problem. so i got a device test to test my sensors and the accelerometer was off to the left when i was holding it straight. so i got a friends phone a samsung fascinate and it was fine so can someone help plzzzz...... P.S. i tried a calibrator with no avail so plz help
I have this issue too but only in temple run. Temple run brave and other similar games are good.

Its a problem of the xperia play, i checked it on two R800a devices and its the same, on every game or program the accelerometer is tilted to the left.
I have the same problem with the last update of Temple run, I thought that I was the only one with this issue. All the other games don't have the problem so, I think is a bug from the game with its last update.
Don't worry it's just lag, when the system starts to get stressed, the accelerometer will temporarily stop working. If it gets more stressed, it will stop serving touch screen response, ultimately triggering an ANR (application not responding).
It also happens with Running Fred when your device gets stressed by trying to run lots of apps at the same time, etc. But I believe this type of lag is the developer's fault when coding the app.

[Q] Screen Freezes on some Graphically Intensive Games

I have recently experienced an issue that never happened before while playing demanding games. Basically, my a500 will seemingly randomly freeze on an individual frame of the game an the screen will start to flicker on and off. Audio and touch input from the screen still work as I can hear the sound effects made from touching the areas of the screen (gun firing etc.), however the screen refuses to do anything but flicker on the same frame until I force close the app from the task manager (it isn't even detected as unresponsive). This has taken place on NOVA 2 and MC3 as well playstation and n64 emulators. I just upgraded to Civato's flex jb so I'm not sure if its a compatibility issue with a500, but I seem to remember all of these apps working when I first upgraded so I'm not sure what gives now. Any help would be appreciated.
I have exactly the same problem with my a500

I have exactly the same problem with my Acer a500. It's incredible to see that it has passed more than a year and there still isn't a solution for this problem. Many a500 users say that it may be a memory problem. Since then, when I need to run some graphic demanding games or apps, I first stop some applications that are running.
My Gt3 does it on mupen too but only if I load state from slower game speed like 50 %

[Q] GTA:SA Not working fluently

Hello. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 octa (GT-i9500), i want to play Grand Theft Auto San Andreas on it. The thing is i was playing it before I updated my device. When my device was on 4.2.2, it was running really smooth. Now I updated it to 4.4.2 and installed on it, not it's not fluent. Every 3-4 seconds, it freezes for like half a second and continues from where it was. Now I tried lowering the graphics and also turning frame limiter on/off but none helped. Even on the lowerst quality, it still does the same thing. What can I do about it? Please help.
Thanks.

[SM-T290] Weird screen unresponsiveness in apps

Hi all,
I bought 2 Tab A 8 (2019) tablets for my kids for Christmas, installed their favourite apps (mostly small games, YouTube kids, ABC Kids etc). They constantly encounter a weird screen unresponsiveness issue, where the screen won't respond to touches, but whatever they are doing continues to play. I.e. YouTube kids will be playing in the background, but they are unable to use the screen to change videos or fast forward. This happens across all apps. Turning the screen off and on using the power button does work, and seems to return the screen to normal.
There aren't any "nefarious" apps on there.
Any idea what it might be, or anything I can share that might help figure it out? It's driving my kids crazy...and subsequently me.
thats weird im trying to install a different os on mine
