I take it this boosts the bass in all apps? does it also boost the volume or has option too?

It is impossible
I don't see any equalizer in android that can support all kind of apps...but most music player is supported like PowerAMP, AOSP Music player, Apollo, etc, because the apps must call the equalizer to make sure the sound route to equalizer and not direct output.
Almost depend on your apps.
If you want to boost volume, you want to turn the volume up by yourself, DRC(Dynamic range compression) can turn the volume up too in DSP Manager, but I remove DRC function in Speaker and Bluetooth tab, it seems not work or sound problem.

I Need A Better Audio Booster

I need a better audio booster for use with my XMI X II Mini speaker, the HD2 isn't quite loud enough, it's leaving the speaker with a lot of headroom.
I have been using the WOW STS HD cab, but I'm finding it hard to boost all frequencies uniformly with it.
Can the built in audio booster be tweaked or is there another program out there that i could make use of?
try the built-in equalizer in pocket player from conduits, maybe it will fit your requirements?

No improvement, seems worse (volume wise) than standard player with audio boost and WOW SRS HD (or even without this).
Edit: Just realised i can use WOW SRS HD with it.
This is still just about on part with standard audio booster i think, will experiment more.
Still would like away to tweak the standard audio booster or WOW SRS HD or an alternative method of boosting audio volume for use with speaker.
Earphones are not a problem (they are loud enough) and i don't mind the standard speaker for ring tones etc...
go the heavy way and starte htc audio booster, pocket player with critical - extreme settings and full bass + bass equalizer preset and srs, i think THAT shoudl be enough xD
for me windows mobile got awsome sound quality, but i still changed to cowon s9 mp

Oh yeah, just realised that audio booster works outside of HTC music player if you configure it in it's standalone app.
How do i configure pocket player to have critical extreme settings?
Edit: I'm just going to assume you meant max settings on the equalizer.
would need to install it again, so dont know exactly, but there are settings like this, just search xD
but its not the best thing of the pocketplayer.. what gives u awsome sound are the DSP plugins + the equalizer -> activate multi DSP in settings and choose surround sound and the bass DSP, maybe something else too, then go to the equalizer and make an awsome own equalizer, i would say with high deeps and ups
then start SRS with a good setting..
and htc Audio booster with like the same equalizer setting as the pocketplayer...
and now go search .flac songs, cause mp3 is to bad for this XD i dont know if it will still sound well after so much things xD..

Well, couldn't find extreme-critical anywhere, maybe it was on an older version.
I just realised that the equalizer which has a soft preamp built in wasn't actually enabled though, it has the word enabled in a list in settings, which made me thought i was enabled, but you actually need to press that and then there will be a tick next to it, there's no box for a tick or anything, nothing obvious that would have given that away.
Anyway I'm all set now, the preamp and equalizer is very loud even without WOW SRS HD.
i was using version 4.0.. >.<
but yea, then its ok^^ already thought what crazy human u are when pocketplayer isnt enough for u xD.. even for me it was enough

[Q] Equalizer And audio boost?

Where can i find the audio equaliser settings in wildfire.
there is no options other than media volume
Also it possible to boost the audio with some apps or chagnes ??
i think winamp will have EQ when they leave the beta :/
PowerAMP - a music player has built-in equalizer and it also supports flac format if you're interested. Personally i find it's interface a little "not so optimized" for Wildfire's display, but it works ok.

[Q] Google play music - Equalizer settings FX BOOSTER - What are they?

I was using the Google Play Edition for my Samsung Galaxy S4 (I9505), I flashed that ROM onto it, I used to use Google Play Music and use the equalizer settings there. Now I use the Cyanogenmod 4.4 Kitkat for my S4. The same equalizer for google play music is not there (it uses DSP manager or something).
I don't care about this but.. I had a really awesome equalizer preset there, I liked "FX Booster" I'm pretty sure that's what it's called. I need to recreate that same one with this equalizer so I would appreciate it if someone could post a screenshot of what FX Booster equalizer settings look like so I can copy them. I have looked almost everywhere, tried googling every type of thing and nothing helps.
If nobody can do that, can someone tell me how I can get the old equalizer back?
DSP Disable
As far as i am aware the FX Booster has 4 different qualities , 3d Effects , Clarity , Bass , not sure about the 4th. I am guessing this is more than a bunch of equalizer setting. DSP, AcId , Viper Audio are all custom sound mods that need to be de-activated if you do need to use the players equalizer.(You should be carefull removing the DSP , there might be side effects)

What settings for audio do you use?

I know it makes a big difference via headphones but does the speaker setting improve the Z2...if so what settings do you recommend. I tried it on the speaker of my Nexus 7 and couldn't hear the difference

I tried viper4android with speaker but unfortunately the sound quality when using Walkman with ClearAudio+ gave better result than Viper4Android.

Hi Michael ,
- open Viper4Android -> Menu -> UI Settings -> Expert Mode
- In Master Power section , tick Enable
- In Convolver section , tick enable and choose Impulse Response that you like , I use SPL GoldMike Impulse (you have to download IRS file and import it to Viper4Android - to import copy the IRS file to /internal-storage/Viper4Android/kernel folder)
- List of some IRS sample file (free & paid)
+ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2442933
- Playback Gain Control section , tick enable , select Moderate Effect Strength , 4x Max Gain
- Fidelity Control Section , enable viper bass , select Natural Bass mode , 40Hz Freq ,6db Bass Boost , enable Viper Clarity , Ozone+ mode , 8db Clarity
I heard Viper4android consumes more battery, but is it a lot or not even noticeable?

I'm using viper4android just with noice cancelling headset. I'll share my settings if anyone want to try.
I'm using Exiztenz 3.1.5 as my ROM...
My music player is PowerAMP > I set the equalizer to "Rock" > the the bass knob 1 third up and the treble 2 thirds up.
I use Sony stock audio settings > sound effects > equalizer on "Heavy" > headphone settings on Studio > Headphones as STH-30.
Then i use skull candy "smokin buds" as my headset.
Great for my liking, i only listen to EDM and Hip Hop
Does viper4android works on stock rooted .402?

yeah.. same here.. Viper makes the phone sound louder but, stock config sound just way better and clean.. People often confuse "Good Quality" with "More Volume"
Thanks for yours replies, but what configuration do you use on Sound Effects?
Is there any way to adjust phone speakers' volumes seperately? My top speaker is louder than bottom speaker. And call sound is low.

The devices in the list are the ones I have. My profiles may sound different on your devices. If you don't like it, you can change the settings. For you, I would recommend changing to Master Gain (Limiter) output gain to a lower setting, and have playback gain control off along with extra loud off.

No DDC's yet. Sorry, been kinda busy.
V3 is here! More audio profiles, add support for Moto E and JVC Xtreme Xplosives, more convolvers (not mine), and more!
A reminder to all: any profile can be tweaked. So blowing up your stuff is your fault, not mine. *This is your disclaimer*
No DDCs yet, I'll be leaving for the U.S.A.F. BMT on April 10th. I'll be be getting better equipment as well (likely toward the end of this year or early next year), it's going to be at least $5k.
Also I have a new music streaming service coming... it will be live after I get back from the military and set it up (could be a year as Cyber Transport has 8 months of training). You can try the service until it goes down on April 10th at audify.cf/audify
