Hey @itdevmobileapps2, you can have a look at Pollfish. Pollfish is a new interactive way to monetize mobile apps by delivering surveys instead of ads. It offers minimal intrusion, high payouts and it can be used along with any other ad network you are already using.

Just saw the announcment:
http://www.mobiletechworld.com/2009...plication-is-now-availalbe-on-windows-mobile/
Anybody had a chance to try it out yet ?
I guess that UI is better than Music ID.
I cant find it in marketplace!
Me too, I can't find it, wth ?
I think Marketplace is blocking it for people who don't have a 6.5 phone.
Hmm anyone with 6.5 confirm its not there?

I don't think so because I have onyx 5.2.2 and also no shazam
I have wm6.5 23064 and I dont see it either.
IMO, Midomi is way better than Shazam. It'll identify some pretty obscure stuff.
Abybody got any sucess in finding it in the Marlketplace? I can't find either.
Midomi is in the marketplace - I think it was $5
The availability of applications in marketplace depends the region you live.

Only 14 in france...
???

Not only region, it's also dependent on device capability. If the dev flags his app as QVGA, and you have WQVGA or VGA, then you won't see it. Same goes for other features such as GPS etc.
Still, thanks to the completely f***ing STUPID decision to not let you choose where you can install apps, the Marketplace has pretty limited use for now.

Really? only trial version?
I thought i read on that site provided in the first link
that there would be a free version but it would have limited features.
Waky Wake everyone.
If you have an app in your local store and someone else doesn't have it in their localle.
Please ATM, also post your registry information from
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Security\Software\Microsoft\Marketplace]
"DeviceGuid"="c10b3661-13de-4424-8918-805abfe9969b"
If we are lucky and everyone helps out a bit, we can come up with a Location switcher before MS does

If you are rooted you can use an app called AdFree. It basically edits the hosts files do the ads are blocked.

Yes, the way to remove ads is to buy the apps. If you're so ungrateful to the developers who are releasing their apps for free, then you shouldn't download them.
This is the reason why the Android Market will never match the App Store. If no one can make money from their apps, no one will release apps.

... speaks a google stock owner? Or ... is it you, steve?
Come on, those ads don't consume that much data...And considering all the apps that are free, if you like something, buy the donate version or at least click on some ads in the app...
ignore me i misread.

Speaks someone who respects the hard work by many developers in creating apps I use on a daily basis.

Obviously you missed the point. If a user removes the ads from an ad-supported app, then the developer isn't making money.

There's plenty of websites where you can buy Android apps from. Thankfully, unlike iOS, you can install apps from any number of sources.

What do you mean by that? Something like Amazon, or maybe something like AppBrain, AppAware, Android PIT, etc.?
Or maybe even black markets?

AFAIK the amazon market is not avaliable outside the US
At least, it's not avaliable in Germany
For me it´s Appbrain.
In the last couple of days appbrain is mostly down(the site and the sync in android).
They all have there pro's and cons,
Android market is good, only mainly ... install direct etc but no backups.
App brain can be a bit clunky .. but . does back up apps... again it installs from the Android market ..
The others?... not so good.

Polaris Office is included in most of the builds I use, so I guess it is free.
please correct me if I am wrong.
There's a formal Google Docs app which is okay but only lets you access documents online. For an offline and online solution I use Evernote.
