Yes, I've flashed this ROM: 059S4J7 RM-892 VAR FI CV BLACK

what is the os build number ?
EDIT:
ok found it , its the same as the latest DEV preview build .

anaheiim said:
Logically, it is either 8.10.12359.845, 8.10.12382.878, 8.10.12393.890, or 8.10.12397.895.

logically it would be one , you post 4 build numbers
but it is 8.10.12397.895

what I wanted too know was if they maybe used a post update 3 build ( I should have known better then that ) but they didn't.

anaheiim said:
Yes, I meant say "logically it would be one"
8.10.12359.845 is the first build of WP8.1
8.10.12382.878 is the first update
8.10.12393.890 is the second update
8.10.12397.895 is the third update

Mate how to manually update the 1520. Im comming from android but dont know where or how to download a firmware for this phone. Would you bother to post a tuto or provide a link to one . I tried to download the cyan update form nokia care suite but the available firmware there is the same as my phone has which is wp 8.1 with the lumia black update. Thanks in advanced.

Done, but still dont get the cyan update. My Phone already has wp 8.1 but with lumia Black. Is it possible to get the update for my 1520 just the way you did with your lumia ? The ponit is that i dont know how to force a finland product code for this Phone.

Sorry if it's out of topic, but I'm curious whether if it's possible to get either GDR3 official update or 8.1 official update (not beta version) but via developer channel. As currently seems so hard for me to update my phone. Currently, it's only using GDR2.

You need to flash this GDR3 ROM and then go through the OTA update to cyan: •059V5R7 RM-937 VAR EURO TR CV BLACK
It's available for 1520 now! ;D

Can we update SGS2 to 2.3.4 which is meant for nexus s ?
I mean not all in all, but definitely we can Eritrea things & make it fit for SGS2 right ?
Will that be so simple or it's very difficult without source code ?...
Just a noob question, I wanna know the answer pls....
Samsung release their own source codes and to modify Nexus S 2.3.4, it will take lot of effort.. Some Devs are trying to use HTC sense on SGS.. but its not easy

Hi,
I am new to Samsung phones so don't know a lot of the terminology. Can anyone please explain what a .pit file is and what a PDA file is?
I understand the android advices guide, but I do not understand why there is no ext4.pit file in the following link, if it is necessary for the upgrade procedure:
http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-i9100.htm
So... is it strictly necessary, or is it possible to get by without it?
Many thanks,
James

Not if you register for the Beta, no, since it treats it as an update. If, however, you Unregister for the Beta (i.e., revert to Nougat), then your phone will be wiped, as it will if you apply the factory image from the Android 8.0 System Images page .

I did change my CSC to INS so im wonder if its gonna to work.. maybe VPN will be needed.
I tried connecting to an UK VPN but it did not work for me. I'm on INS CSC.
I hope someone would be able to pull the OTA update and share it for everyone else like someone did when OneUI 3 beta was going on last year. Pretty sure flashing the BTU rom will work but I wouldnt go through that hassle since I have my watch also paired with the phone. Reseting the firmware would require me to setup the watch all over again and in case of LTE watch, it is a nightmare since the telecom provider here has ****ty system, they struggle to remove the number previously paired with watch. It took me a week and dozens of frustrating calls with them to sort the issue out last time.
Wow thanks for sharing. There is no update about this anywhere else. Hopefully we in US can get it soon too.
Can someone catch the URL?
How to capture:
Install HTTP Canary app: https://m.apkpure.com/httpcanary-—-http-sniffer-capture-analysis/com.guoshi.httpcanary
1. Load canary
2. Start the update download but don't pause it.
3. Go back to canary and start that and it will grab the link.
(easiest method, by @AndrzejDwo)
