Yes, there's a preview build for the Nexus 5 and 7.

thanks! i'll have a look at this on my Z1C
not really the subject but could you also extract the boot anim from a 4.3 xperia rom? i don't like the 4.4 one :/

i
is possible to use it on another device?
(instead of xperia)

Too bad it doesn't show the complete animation. Only the orbs revolving around each other shows up.

you can try on your phones

Has anyone had success resizing this? I tried editing the desc.txt but end up with a black screen even if I edit back to the original resolution! I tried unpacking with Winrar on the PC, changing the text file and repacking it. Tried opening the zip file, editing the text file and repacking it. I also tried adding an edited desc.txt file into the zip, overwriting the original using Zarchiver on my tablet but the only bootanimation zip that works is the original, unmodified by me. I have a Tablet Z with 1920x1200 res and think it would look great a little bigger!
Tapatalked that shiznit.

Dude this bootanimation is bad ass but the thing is it doesn't fully work on Xperia M, it only shows the 4 colors spinning and goes to lock screen. So if you want to work together to fix this issue, PM me.

maybe this bootanimation not support with your display sizes

Thanks for this nice boot animation.
I have tried it on My Xperia l, but the solution is wrong. The text "android" is to big
Is it easy to change the solution?
The solution Xperia l is 480x854
Anyone with the skills might want to have a look at that?
It could be nice to have a Lollipop boot animation

Flashed it to my XL 4.2.2 .. i really impressed with colour and.sharpness in album but i cant see any difference in movie .. what is wrong ? any idea ? thanks
Wow...
Great
I want to try this
Thanx
It didn't appear in the display settings.. But is it working?
Will it work on XS 4.1.2 existenz rom?
Great workk! Just 1 question, about the build.prob thing, replace with the new one or just add it? Because if i replace it, effect doesn't work but x-reality appear in setting. If i left both swiqi 2 and 3 in build.prob, effects working but both BE 2 & x-reality appear in setting as well. Using Xperia ZR.
Awesome!!!!
awesome....
amazing as always... visible difference in album and movies too... lucky to have a dev like you for SXS....
Can anyone confirm for XS Stock 4.1.2?
Does it improve something for Z1?
Will this work on Xperia T stock 4.1.2 rom??

Lol, there's no need. This one will work perfectly fine on Lollipop. Same deal. Place in /system/media or /data/local.
It's just a boot animation. Doesn't rely on any sort of frameworks or anything. As long as it's the correct resolution it will work. This animation looks pretty solid to me. Not sure why it would need an update, or "release version".
Rocking it on final developer preview right now it looks great.
can i flash the zip on latest l preview?

^Your answer is here^
A boot animation is nothing but a zip. It will work on any Android device as long as custom boot animations are enabled (I believe in pure stock, it's a little different)
Is it possible to make an .apk version of this? Might wanna revert in the future and I'll have to look again for my backup bootanimationzip.

If the zip isn't already named "bootanimation.zip" - rename it to that. Use a file explorer with root permissions and go to /system/media/
Find the "bootanimation.zip" that's already there. Rename that one to "bootanimation.zip.bak"
Place this boot animation that you renamed to start with in /system/media/ and you're good to go. If you ever want to revert to your old boot animation then delete this one and delete the .bak extension from your original one...

Not Good!!!
This is my creation!
It's not nice to assign yourself this bootanimation without asking my permission or quoting me!
You simply added an other screen size...
We could have had the same inspiration but after checking, margins, location and size of the elements are stricktly identical!
So you copied my work!
It is not polite or honest...

Sorry Sir, but I didn't copied your bootanimation, I just made your original bootanimation as a inspiration.
I made this with some xperia SP's pngs,
look at the attachment (all of spinners are from SP's framework).
----
Edit : I made an another one which is diffirent from your bootanimation.

I used this spinners and old Sony bootanimation background.
The problem is not to create or use elements existing!
For example, I use too Lollipop elements to create Xperia Lollipop
The problem is that your bootanimation strictly the same as mine.
Framing, composition, location and size of elements are nearest pixel same! Really strange...
Yes, nice to create an other one, with another spiner for exemple.
The possibilities are endless!
Everyone can use my work, copy it for other screen sizes, use it for a custom rom ...
I simply want that you ask my permission and be quoted.
Politeness, respect, honesty ..

[BOOTANIMATION] Cataclysm Rom

Hi
I've been using Cataclysm Rom since its JellyBean days. It the first and the last Rom that I always use as a daily driver on both my N4 and N5. Now I've retired both the devices and have bought a OnePlus2. Although I don't regret buying the Oneplus2, I surely miss Cataclysm. And it goes without saying, @atl4ntis has created a 'Gem of a Rom'.
Here is my take on the Cataclysm bootanimation for the Hammerhead. The sequence is at 60 fps. It has 3 parts to it. The beginning (part0), a loop (part1) and an end (part2).

That's a cool animation. I haven't tried it yet so it might already work like how I'm about to describe. But the latest Android Boot animations have had three parts to them. A starting animation, a loop animation that loops until everything is loaded and an animation right before it ends. I think this would be cool set up in that way. the first would be the logo and text coming in. The second would be the flickering just looping. And the last would be the screen off effect before it boots.

Totally unnecessary, flashing the zip would be more work than just replacing the file in root explorer...most people would want to backup the original boot animation.

You don't need the device to create a flashable. Just have the script extract /system/. As long as the file names are the same and in the proper place, they'll replace each other.
If you want, I could whip one up. [emoji14]
