[Q] I have replaced my charger , battery is damaged !! HELP - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have lost my original charger ,so I have order another one from here :
http://www.ebay.com/itm/380751287837?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
After this , my battery performance has decreased nearly to the half.
Here is what I get every day , ( in the pictures )
What I have noticed for more than a week is this : every time my battery reaches 37% , it decreases like I am using it heavily although I am not using the phone AT ALL !!
Is the charger I bought fake ?
Is there anyway I can fix the problem ?
Any advice ??
Would you recommend any ebay seller to buy new orignal battery.
Thanks.

To me it just looks like the battery is not calibrated. Try to calibrate the battery and see if it works.

my battery too. when it reaches 37% it decrease more quick than normal. Use caribrate no work but dont worst like your battery. I use original charger

Battery Dying?

I was wondering... What kind of symptoms do you get when your battery is starting to die? I'm getting some crazy battery drain problems. First I've got a good 50% charge. I make a 10 min call and the phone restarts with the battery at 0%. No warnings or anything. I've got a couple new batteries coming by mail. I was just wondering if maybe I have some other problem with my phone. Thanks in advance.
Hi!
got a similar problem.. I don't know if it is a battery problem or a SW problem. Please, let me know if a new battery solved yours.
thanks
Lukas
Hi, just check my post at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2508856&postcount=5
You can download and use PowerDetect from there. charge your battery to 100% and run the program. It will give the % of battery and the voltage. it logs the results to a text document. While running, your wizard will turn off/restart. after that, charge again to see the test results. If you see the voltage is running low very quickly, then your battery will be dead.
just buy an new battery and you'll be fine
good luck!
battery would start fully charged at 100%
used it for maybe 10 min? and went down to probably 60%
a moment later it's down to 40%...
try to wrap up your stuff and the 20% warning comes on
that's the battery dying. i bought a new one off of amazon and now it tends to go down slowly. i can use it off and on the whole day and it ends up 50-60%, pretty close to how it was when it was new

I dry up mine pretty fast! but i am always using the mobile.. can't get enough of the 9100
i did a burnout test once. Light at max level, screen tap sounds, bluetooth and wifi on, and connected. IE and MSN, with multitasking between both. I can only say lol.
It was the battery. New battery new lease on life. Working great now. Now I have to do some USB repairs from having to charge so much...

Battery stuck @ 100%

Hello! I am in a need of a little help. I bought recently a 1800mah battery since my original 1620mah battery was dead. Shutted down whenever it reached 30%. Now the new battery works like a charm, I can use my PDA for much more hours than before. Except for one thing. The power status displays always 100% until the PDA shuts down for not having any charge left. Is there any kind of fix for this? already did 3 complete cycles of charging and discharging. Any help please?
Cheers!

Blackstone Battery Problem %%%

Hello guys i havae some problem with my Blackstone i use it from 2.5 years and i never had problem like this so..
Now when i recharging my device always stay on same % for example even for 1 hour its show always 20% or 50% or anything depends when i put it on the charger..
After restart can show 100% full or anything.. so i found out that the indicator absolutly do not work so if i restart it and show me the real % for example 50% the device always will show 50% battery untill the battery is fully discharged..
And right now i dont know how much Batterry i have and when will need to recharge..
I don`t know but i think this is a battery problem? i use this battery from the begining i mean from more than 2.5 years and maybe is time to change it?! but this heppand when i drop my device once on the floor so do thee is posible by droping the device some senzor to be broken or this is not posible i mean its a battery problem and i will need to buy new one?! or give me some idea how to test this and fix it.
Now no matter that the indicator do not work i still can use my device 1-2 days with one charge even if always show 20% this mean that in the battery itself have power for 2 days conversation internet and etc.. but just do not shown right.
Do anyone of you had the same problem ? and how do you fix it?
Also im looking to buy battery from ebay and i found today this :
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HTC-TOUCH-HD-...ultDomain_3&hash=item4aa9446824#ht_3230wt_905
What you think about this battery ? or can someone who already bought battery from ebay point me to get some good one
I read in the Diamond forum that peoples expirience the same problem with the indicator and even after Hard Reset or flashing new ROM the problem is still there.. so if this is right then i dont have reason to Flash again my device if the problem will be still here.
Any Suggestions?
Thanks
I did some tests... so i fully discharge the battery and i saw that even when the battery was on 0% and always the Warning appear i was able to play with the the Device with Wi Fi ON and Games and Music around 45 minutes wow.. this mean that the battery somehow was not calibratet and when its shows 0% in her still have around 30 40 % so after fully discharge the battery till the device Turn OFF by itself then few times turn it ON till there is not enought power even the WinMo to Startup i put it while OFF on the Charger and i was able to recharg to 100% and the light become green this mean the senzor itself work maybe just the battery need calibration again.
Now will see do the indicator work corectly after few more recharges and will write here for peoples who have the same problems in the future
...
hi dude, i think you should simply buy a new battery, but preferably an official htc battery - rather than the unofficial gold one you have posted a link to on ebay.
if you do decide to buy a new battery then put the new battery into your blackstone and charge while device is turned off.
this should fix your problem

Actually i think its not Battery die problem because i did some test and i see improvment my battery last at least 2-3 days with alot of usage wifi and etc so this is more than normal.. the problem was that the indicator do not work corectly and like i wrote above i discharge fully the battery till the device die and i saw that when my battery was on 0% i still play alot alot my device to swtich off this mean that befor when the indicator shows 0% its remain anorhter 30 40% power this heppand due to 2.5 years usage and i recharge the device when i have time not always when is fully without power and i think that this cause somehow a discalibration of the Li Ion so today when i did the trick i see improvments and now the indicator start to count ever single % so i think when i do this one or two more times the Battery will be calibratet and will show very corect how much Power i still have.
I think this way because if this battery was already died the device will not last 2-3 days with super usage.

Note 4 battery problem after flashing some custom roms

Hi everyone, i have problem with my note 4, battery drops from 11 % to 3% very fast and charges after 85% very slow.. this problems started 2 days ago when i flashed dn5 custom rom i thought it was rom problem and flashed sixperience rom but still i have same issue also i tried battery calibration but again.... what can i do???? and my screen on time is only 3 hour. please help me, thanks.
Have you checked what's eating away at your battery? Settings => Battery (Here you should be able to see if anything is causing a drain).
If the settings screen doesn't seem to show anything, you could try BetterBatteryStats (This app will be able to tell you everything that's going on regarding running processes, wakelocks,... You should give it a day or so from a fully charged battery.)
And if even BBS doesn't show anything, I'd flash the stock firmware again (And check if it isn't the battery).

Well, in all fairness, mine is running CM 12.1, and SOT is a bit under 4hrs. Which isn't fantastic either. Quickcharge does slow down a bit after a certain percentage. You could try a new battery, but might be a waste of money.
I'm afraid I can't help you any further, maybe someone else can.

did u change ur battey? im going to buy anker battery as i know they have good ones
I am facing exactly the same problem .. I don't think buying a new battery will solve this problem.
My mobile is charging by AC very very slow and sometimes it stuck at certain percentage for hours and I tried many things but I am still facing this problem... While recharging if I removed the battery and put it again, the phone shows me that it is 100% while it was not 100% at all.
I wish someone can help us about this problem or if any of u guys tried a new battery and the problem has been solved, so please feed us back in here
Any updates!?

well after 3 4 days (i mean after flashing sixperience rom) everything is ok. discharge to 0% then wait and full charge + calibrate battery may fix issue. but still dont like screen on time. only up to 3.5 4 hours
That sounds weard...
I mean the good thing is we could change the battery.
I have a feeling this is not battery issue. it's exynos + apps running on the background. Try to root + disable unnecessary apps (maybe Android 4.4 Would give you higher SOT). I had Note 3 previously and SOT was at the level of around 6 hrs (snap processor) - now on exynos it's around 4 hrs on stock firmware (5.1.1).

Battery readings going completely wild

So recently my phone (unrooted unmodded N910C) battery is being extremely weird. When I try to charge my phone, it sometimes doesn't go beyond around 70-90% but if I take out the battery and put it back in, it shows 100%. It sometimes also shuts off on its own at around 40% and when I plug in a charger, it shows sometimes 0% and sometimes 40% (but if I turn it on, it still says 0%). I've tried a lot of things, including discharging completely and recharging to 100% (powered off), factory reset, clearing cache, and quick starting battery and nothing seems to work. Does anyone have similar problems and has anyone found a solution to this?
The problem is the battery ... the catode pin inside battery is not working properly. The motherboard of the phone it just reading the voltage and temperature of the battery. Your percentage shown on status bar is based on what current intensity is received from battery. So just replace the battery... esxuse my poor english

Are you sure it's the battery? I took it out and everything looks normal, including the pins. Also, battery apps said that my battery health was good or should I not trust them at all? I just don't want to buy an extra battery if the problem is not with the battery.
I meant the catode pin inside battery not outside. It's your call if you buy a battery or not. I just writed here how the proces work because i have fixed lot of motherboard i knowing about this i have explained to you. Cheers
i have the same problem too and i tested every things and now i am really tire , i dont think thats problem was the battery , can anybody help me plz?
Had similar problem yes new battery at the samsung store the assistant said many note 4 batteries selling I got the last one. Maybe we got a bad batch or its deliberate. Maybe we could do a survey how many people have had to buy a new battery
Sent from my SM-N910C using XDA-Developers mobile app
I also posted a similar problem. In my case the problem is more alarming, because it's happening in two different batteries, one of them is rather new and fresh. It seems that it started out of the blue, I did not make any major change in the phone.
I am still investigating the issue, I'll be back with more observations.
Just an update on my situation: I bought a new battery and now the battery readings seem to be fine.
I had the same problem as you OP. The problem was definitely the battery for me at least. Bought a new one just the other week and now everything is working perfectly
If the affected battery is under warranty get it replaced for free. Or if the problem does not get solved after cross checking many possibilities. Just buy a new battery. Simple. Good luck.
