Does any mod allow the "pocket mode"?
That is turning on the screen when the phone is taken out from the pocket and there are new notifications.
Thank you

YouTube Adaway to remove those channel icons and annoying "next videos" on the bottom of the screen.
WifiKeyView is nice for seeing and easily sharing wifi passwords for your networks.

You can use Nova Launcher.

I recommend the Xposed Framework + the Nottach Xposed module. It offers the options you're looking for plus lots more.

Is there a way to activate onscreen buttons?

Like instead of the capacitive and home hardware buttom. A line at the lower part of the screen is used to show on screen buttons
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk 4
I've always used the line that you add to your build.prop file and it adds it by itself but it doesn't work in the note 3, I tried it and it went into an infinite systemui force close, so I guess it's a no go.
I'm also interested in them as I use the s pen too much and I hate pressing the home button with it.

there's a simpler way
just install this from Google Play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fatedevgroup.softkeyenabler&hl=en
SoftKey Enabler
Darn it has to be rooted

Nope it doesn't work even if I'm rooted

I'm using Swipe Home Button. It uses gestures for various actions. It's not perfect, but it keeps my pen off the home button. No root required. I have it paired with a "screen off" app, so I can avoid using the power button, too.

There's also Virtual Button Bar, which is more of a pop-up menu of icons (can be set to always be visible). It's not being developed anymore, but it still works, and served its purpose while I was using it.

Remove Smart stay icon in notification bar?

Hi as title says, is there a way to remove the slight faded eye looking icon in the notification bar when smart stay features are on?
I always leave the feature on so the icon sitting on my notification bar is unnecessary. I am rooted and am amusing I need to delete a system file (maybe?) so if anyone knows please tell me
Thanks!

I fixed that on mine by using the corresponding option from Wanam xposed.
What do you mean? Can you tell me the solution?

Root. Install latest xposed framework. Install Wanam exposed module. Toggle the corresponding setting there.
use 2 finger to pull down from top and you shall see the option to turn it off.

That is not the same thing, the toggle will disable smart-stay, most people would want smart-stay to still work but not to show the icon.

I don't understand the process. It sounds quite complicated so I think I'll just live with the icon showing on my notification bar.

Have you tried clearing the cache?
But i don't think this is a problem. I think it's a new 4.4.2 feature that cannot be disabled. Maybe I didn't describe my problem right. When someone calls me and I don't pick up you can see the missed call in a big notification rectangle in the lock screen. This means that someone can just take your phone and see who called you even if you don't want to. I try to find any setting to disable this but it looks like it's a widget in the lock screen.
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
If you can't disable it in the settings and the developer didn't include an option for that there is no way to hide it.

I guess you are right but this is crazy not being able to hide this. We should have control over our privacy.

That is one of many reasons why I am not using TouchWiz.
You think if I use another launcher it will not do that?
Edit : just tried another launcher and it still does the same thing.

I think what you have on your lockscreen is a lockcreen widget. Have you tried disabling Lockscreen widgets?
Maybe if it is a standalone widget it can be removed from the screen. Try and report back.

I have the widgets disabled. It's something to do with the system.

No I haven't. I don't think the third party lockscreens are as safe as the original ones.
