Qslide not working properly. RESOLVED - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

All of the sudden my qslide apps stopped working through qslide except calendar and calculator. The messaging, memo, dialer etc do not work from qslide. I press on them and they flash for a second then disappear. I thought it might have to do with xposed mods or something I greenified through the donate version, but I disabled them rebooted and still same issue. I'm on stock rooted D801 with only busybox installed atm. Has anyone else experienced this and if so what do I need to do? Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Well after a lot of messing around with various ideas including upgrade recovery, I figured it out. A few days ago I selected "don't keep activities" under developer options and this was causing qslide apps to force close as soon as they would open.

Slt j' ai le mème problème que toi mais je ne sais pas comment le regler aide moi please

My first HD2 - what should I install to have a good start

Hello people, tomorrow I will buy a HD2 .... after being in doubt with the N900, but the screen of the HD2 killed me ...
Not to get me to complain about bugs, what should I or not install on HD2.
tenho visto aqui tanto software para corrigir bugs, que não sei o que instalar.
Give me only the names and latest versions of all software which I install, I then researching how best to install ... and in any doubt, I ask here ....
just want to be happy with my HD2
My HD2 is Portuguese version
thanks

Thanks,
but I see it so many things, I just want to have to start slowly, getting used to me...
If you can tell me, only the essential, would be grateful, I'm learning it after installing more
like this;
Install:
1 - ROM 1.61 (i'm not sure)
2 --
3 --
etc ...
sorry for poor English
It's trial and error and entirely subjective which tweaks we all prefer.
I installed on the tweaks page:
Numbers:
2, 4, 23, 24 (there is a cab lower down), 35, I also removed the 'HTC Quietly Brilliant' splashscreen from Opera (HKLM/software/opera/info/showsplashscreen - set to zero)
I also installed Skyfire for video full-on flash
.... and the WiFi router app if yours has been removed by your carrier
http://bwone.com/downloadsthebowmanpackpro2.zip
...but first you will need to intall a registry editor. I went for Resco Explorer and then you install the registry editor add-in.
As for ROMs, I haven't swapped yet. I am waiting for a ROM to be released which addresses the problems I am having, such as call volume and (still) the SMS issue.

[14/05/2011][ROM][FRA] nAr_Polaris_WM6.5_project

This is a full WM6.5 rom with a bunch of HTC enhancements. Mostly are from Mega packages, the others are kept up to date periodically (fot those that work still with this old hardware). Interfaces that can be found in it are Titanium and m2d2, up to user's choice. The difference with other roms is that it uses a hacked WM6.5 kernel from another device, thanks DFT group. This permits to run MSbuilds without any recmod, and same for the HTC packages, thus keeping good speed and optimal stability, without any trade-off. The HomePainted value average is about 34 seconds, which is rather excellent for a "full" rom

Features:
- 2DManila_2_0_20163224_00 based main interface, fast flip_flop clock, Titanium also available as an alternative (built-in), Lockscreen from hTC_Mega, Mega_dialer, finger-friendly UI
- Proprietary monoKrom2 theme ( mostly black & green )
- 101,8 Mo RAM available, WM6.5 native kernel, no recmod has been done
- IE is not laggy ( no recmod of modules + smart_rOm cache values )
- Lots of tweaks and bug-fixes included in this release, that was hard work
- Quite good speed, stable rom
- Post-Install optimized for the SFR network. If you have different carrier, just remove "TV-musiqueSFR_FRA_WWE.cab" and "U_SUPL_AGPS_update.reg" from XDA_UC folder before flashing, all other elements good to keep.
Here are a few hints I give you, in order to have proper rom function and less bugs possible. Hopefully
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- 1st of all, follow those 5 simple steps:
1°) Before flashing you should always have Hard_SPL installed.
Refer to the XDA Polaris general section to download and install it correctly, in case you don't have it installed.
Otherwise, flashing of the rom is likely to be unsuccessful.
2°) Unzip XDA_UC folder and all of its content to the root of your SD before the flash for the best experience.
It will install :
- Connection_Setup (automatically defines your internet & mms settings at 2nd boot, must-have; updated gfx version)
- Google Maps v.4.1.1(#1), (needed for m2d2 referring page to work)
- GPsMod_Driver (useful utility to get better, more sensitive GPS module, lag correction; follow on-screen instructions to configure your GPS software for new ports
- HTC_Calculator ( opens quick, supports sci display in landscape, will also be suppressed the defaut WM calculator .lnk, youpee)
- Kevtris_2 (cool additional game, optional)
- YouTube 2.4.4 "official" (needed for m2d2 referring .lnk in internet tab to work)
- some needed .reg "after_boot" tweaks
3°) Please, do a favour and do flash last 3.13 or 3.19 official Polaris hTC rom before that one.
It is 100% required to avoid strange bugs and vital for proper rom function.
4°) Once you successfully flashed the official rom, verify you have the required radio; I recommend Radio_Polaris_1.59.46.12 or even Radio_Polaris_1.65.38.14.
How I proceed: I let the offical hTC rom boot to align screen, then pass device into bootloader mode and then flash radio.
Hint: If you have already 1.65.38.14, downgrade radio first to 1.59.xx.xx or it won't let you flash original HTC rom
5°) Once radio is flashed, your hTC will reboot. Wait for align screen again, then flash my rom.
Afterwards, it's OK, you'll be 100% hassle free for sure
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The customization of the rom is automatic and only require you follow the basic procedure :
- 1st boot will lead you to calibration screen. It can be long and you can loose some of the backlight, so don't loose your temper you'll eventually get to Calibration Screen
Calibrate, eventually set the date and time ( ActiveSync of WDMC will do it automatically afterwards eitherways ). Then, soon afterwards you'll see a XDA_UC message, follow on-screen instructions till the device asks for a reset. Don't use device during install of XDA_UC, device will be very slow and buggy. When the device asks for a reset, press "Yes".
- 2nd boot will lead you to Connection_Setup. it will sort out your internet connection, mms server profile and so on automatically. Just choose your provider in the list and let it go.
- Once those 2 steps are done, no reboot required, you can finally activate your preferred GUI : Sense or Titanium.
Hint: Connection_Setup can be uninstalled afterwards if you wish. If you want to remove the huge provision database also ( 2MB free more), you can run the"conncleanup" mortscript provided as bonus. Put it
conveniently at root of SD and run it, but not in XDA_UC folder please
Once done, basic default rom install will give you about 106 MO free storage space onboard.
Hint: Free RAM : 48 Mo average with m2d2 running all times, no extra soft running. It will boot m2d2 with 58,35 Mo RAM free ( once m2d2 and taskmanager just loaded ).
Hint: if you wish to free up some RAM, after using close Audio_Manager with the X at right top of its own screen, or it will likely stay in background and consume RAM for nothing ...
Hint: Alarms will wake up correctly after ActiveSync/ WDMC synchro. Don't forget to check that in Clocks & Alarms, hitting the little "bell" symbol; "Play a sound" and "Repeat the sound" are ticked, I suggest using "Alarm5" but it's really up to your taste ...
Hint: to setup Gmail account, use "Outlook" type in the droplist. when it asks for username, add your "@gmail.com" at the end, leave domain blank, server is "m.google.com"
Hint: while finished setting of an email account, use Start / Connectivité, open ActiveSync screen to get proper 1st connection. Will not be required afterwards. Sometimes it is required you run a 2nd sync manually to get your all contacts back (e.g. gmail based)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you Icke for all the good time, cooking and support
Thanks to all cooks here that provided support or nice apps, Ervius, Elias, SuperSport, francarl, and forgive me if I forget anyone.
Thank you to all french based cooks, and Chanvi, father of us all.
Thank you AmenatiS, you were my mentor. I hope I've done well enough

Dialer & Contact Utility Screens
Hint : to get full res of your contacts avatars on dialer main screen, save your contacts as 90 px x 90 px pics
when i get home ill give this a try, look out for a donation
About future versions :
- Cooking doesn't only require knowledge but time, most important. When you're a cook you can flash your phone several times a day with precise target in mind ... this reduces lifespan of hardware.
- I always think about refining details, gfx, themes, newer packages .... within the goal to keep reliability for end users. For that reason, lots of versions never come out.
- Some new versions will come, newer sys, etc. when I have time to release them
Thread is adequate to ask for support, I'll try to answer your questions & problems best I can
Best,
nAr

You use XP, Vista or Windows 7 ? (sorry, english forum)
On Vista or windows 7, it is often required to "run as administrator". Right click on ROMUpdateUtility.exe in order to do so.
hTC device must be sync via ActiveSync of WDMC before the flash
Olinex 2.20 must be installed prior to flashing the rom

On my computer there is no problem launching the ROMUpdateUtility.exe.
May I suggest you extract all files again from archives, and try the flash again ?
Hint: For extraction, use only Wirar or 7Zip (free), no other soft please. Others can lead to unpacking file problems, leaving them corrupt.
Are there any other users getting that problem ?

At first boot GUI is disabled by default, to let XDA_UC have maximal resources to do its job.
After 2nd boot, and once Connection_Setup has finished:
In "Démarrer, Paramètres, Personnel, Aujourd'hui; onglet Eléments"
Untick "Date", tick "Sense" then OK
Hint : The XDA_UC installs automatically all elements in XDA_UC folder (if placed at root of storage card before the flash).
It prompts you for doing its job just after calibration.
So far; sorry for trolling, but xda_forums do use English language, so I invite you to use it too, instead of posting in french

Does this ROM have the same problem? How much ram after first launch, and after 2-3 days?
Thanks for your awesome work, i wait your answer but i really think that i will install it.

Thank you very much.
I've not tried the intensive way you send sms, so I suggest you try the rom by yourself to see the behaviour
tmail.exe can be killed in taskmanager to re-open later, if problem is seen. I chose to add tmail to exclusive list for ever fast opening; however it consumes ram in the background. Up to 2 Mo if intensive e-mail, text, 3 days, etc ... but RAM should definitely not be an issue, 101,8 Mo total available.

:::::::::::: DESCRIPTION :::::::::::::
Hi, here is my second Rom. I was totally impressed by CM7. The speed, the battery life, everything was better as MIUI was. The only think I hated was the design. Therefore, I created a nice looking CM7 Rom with a lot of great Tweaks, Mods and extra Apps.
It is nothing special. I added some MIUI and ICS styles or Apps to get some MIUI or ICS feeling. All Apps are either available through XDA or the Android Market.
This Rom is based on Kang and Jordon and should work on most Defy and Defy+, even the new 2.3.6 Kernels. Also camera and battery should work 100%.
The new Version includes AROMA Installer by Amarullz. This is a great feature and I love it. Every of you can choose the tweaks, mods and apps during the installation with touch support. If not working properly you can use Volume Keys and Power Button, like in CWM. BIG THANK goes to Amarullz for his great tool.
Also a big THANKS to skeevy420, who changed the Rom to Support also Motorola Bravo Device. Therefore, it should now work on 3 devices, but support will be provided in the Motorola Bravo Forum.
FEATURES::::::::
based on CM7 Kang 22.03 / Jordan 27.02
Now also with Motorola Bravo Version
With Aroma Installer and Touch Support
Aroma Installer in 6 languages available
WIFI PowerSave / Zipalign / Juve's Ram Mod
Different Wifi + GPS Settings ( optional )
VSuite Voice Dealer ( ICS port from Maniac103 )
V6 SuperCharger Script
Beats Audio Support
Pdroid Treiber and App
Defy+ Battery Support

::::::::::::: LANGUAGES ::::::::::::::
CM7 Kang Languages = German, English, Espanol, French, Catalia, Cestina, Dansk, Georgian, Hebrw, Hrvatski, Indonesian, Italiano, Latviesu, Lietuviu, Nederlands, Polski, Protuguese, Romana, Slovencina, Suomi, Svenska, Tagalog, Tieng Viet, Türkce, Urdu, and many more
Aroma Installer Languages = German, English, Espanol, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Serbia, French, Swedish
:::::::::::::::::::::: Installation IMPORTANT ::::::::::::::::::::::::::
CM7 is not like MIUI, we need to set some stuff manually. Of course everything works out of the box and the ICS CM7 Theme is set automatically, but to get the perfect WhiteRabbit Feeling we need to set some options. Installation is really easy with Aroma Installer and you can choose every Tweak, Mod or App during the installation. I recommend the MIUI Apps and specially GoLauncher! This have to be set :
to get the perfect WhiteRabbit Feeling
choose at the first boot "GoLauncher" as your Standard Launcher and set it to forever
click on your HomeScreen on your MenuKey on your Defy and choose "Themes" and activate "NewMIUI Theme"
click again on your HomeScreen on the MenuKey and open up the "Preferences" of GoLauncher. Click on "Visual Settings" -> "Icons" -> and choose "Icon size" to "Large Size"
still in the GoLauncher Settings -> click on "App drawer settings" and choose under "App Drawer Scrolling orientation" -> "Vertical continous"
back on the HomeScreen click on the Phone App and choose "exDialer" as your favorite Dialer ( if installed )
open up "MiLocker" ( if installed ) and click on "Settings" at the bottom -> choose "Miui Default" or "ICS" Theme to get rid of chinese symbols
So now you should have a fast and nice designed system. Hopefully everything works for you and have a look at Settings, CM7 has even more options as Miui has.

DOWNLOAD WhiteRabbit Bravo Edition v.1.4.1
nur für Motorola Bravo / MD5 = 8146bdce8a13e276ef083858281e9034
Have fun with it and I would be happy about some feedback
:::::::::::::::::::::: BUGS and INFOS ::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Bravo users may experience issues with GoLauncher on first boot. GoLauncher works fine after reboot.
Bravo users need to boot into 2nd-init. 2nd-boot will not boot the system.
Defy+ User with 2.3.6 will have mostly a Force Close at their first boot with SystemUI, which is the notification bar. Just reboot once and everything will be ok.
User with problems in installation could try to install Pikachu Edition and back WhiteRabbit Edition, some Users reported that it helped.
Call Recording could have some problems with alternative apps
The normal Dialer and Contact App can't be uninstalled if exDialer is installed. It is only a visual App. If you uninstall the Dialer and Contact App you won't get any calls, even exDialer is installed.
If Milocker is activated you won't be able to use PIN or any other SecurityLock. This is not a Bug, it is because Milocker deactivates the Lockscreen and is only an App.
Airplane Mode can lead on some phones to lose the connection to your mobile provider, specially Defy+ Users

1.4.1 Update
***I only updated the installer to include French and Swedish, and removed the 2nd-boot warning; NO need to update if you're already running WR 1.4 since only the installer was updated. The Defy 1.4.1 removed the Volume Step Mod, I left it in ours since nobody has posted problems with it.***

For the past week, I've been helping TweetyPeety to add native Bravo support in White Rabbit 1.4. The first testing was released yesterday and I installed it a few hours ago, and its running nicely after a slight script edit.
To install, you HAVE to change the updater-script with the one I provided and boot in 2nd-init (ignore what the installer says). Already PM'd Tweety fix and asked about 2nd-boot.
Other than the above, it seems great. All I've seen are small, theme related issues resolved by reinstalling or installing a theme. Nothing serious. I used the underlying rom for the past week to see if there were issues with it on the Bravo, there weren't.
If you have any issues that are BRAVO related, post them here and I'll try to help as best as I can and relay the problem (and hopefully a fix) to Tweety. If its rom related, go here to White Rabbit's Thread over at the Defy forums.
Install as usual.
Detailed install instructions coming when White Rabbit installs properly on Bravo.
Remember, this is the alpha build, not everything may work correctly.

Work full..?
UPDATED INFORMATION
Everything but notification power widget and rotation sensor issues. I believe both are just incompatible libs. Have to go to work so can't do any romming until I get off.
If the problem is what I think it is, it will be fully working with correct /system/lib/hw
EDIT:
After accidently selecting wipe data instead of wipe cache, I performed a reinstall and EVERYTHING WORKS PERFECTLY. I'm not sure why. Maybe I had a bad install???
I used the same zip, same changes (first post attachment) and same installer settings. Only issue is the ICS Theme Chooser theme wasn't selected by default. Other
than that I believe its fully working.
Found cause of rotation/noti power widget bug
Enabling 180 degree rotation causes the bugs with both rotation sensor and and the notification power widget. The fix is to not enable 180 degree rotation under Settings/CyanogenMod Settings/Display/180 Degrees.
While I don't know why bug occurs, at least I know why the reinstall fixed the problem. Also unsure if port bug or rom bug. I'll update when I know more.
first of all,, you not bothering me, I would like to make my Rom compatible to Bravo
second,,, yeah you have been right, still some German in my English translation, saw some c and k's and some German Text for clock yeah so many strings, have to do it also in Spanish.
third,,, included some if that aks for bravo and deactivated with the Second Boot Settings Mod ( you know you have to boot one more time after coming into the system to activate it, no way to make it the first boot, because database is not created at this time ) the 180 degree rotation
fourth,,, the changes in your updater-script, that are the same as you already have send me, because couldn't find any big difference..
fifth,,, thanks for the feedback with the ICS Theme at the beginning, you see I can't really test it and normally on the Defy I saw it in the last Version and removed the 2 code lines from my default build.prop, haven't seen it in the Bravo, but its fixed also.
anything else ??
Some of those pm's yesterday could have waited till I had more informtion with other things, instead of a bunch of tiny pm's with scattered information. That's what I meat by bothering you.
I posted an updated english translation in the first post that I did yesterday. I think it's completely translated. The phrases aren't in proper english and missing prepositions, but everthing is clear and understandable, and I'm being a bit of a grammer nazi about it at this point. "Grammer nazi" isn't offensive to Germans is it? I'm mostly German, with a bit of Dutch and tiny, tiny bit of Native American.
I tried booting up 3 time with 2nd-boot, it never got past the red motorola dot. I'll look over the 2nd-boot and see if I can figure out why, although 2nd-init works perfectly.
Don't konw the cause of the 180 bug either. When it's buggy, logcat is clean, nor do any errors show when 180 is enabled either. I need a user with a Defy to see if it's the rom or the Bravo.
With those two lines removed, everything workes fine with the theme.
You could test the Bravo install on a Defy if you wanted to, the only thing that won't work correctly is the camera.
The only issue I see left is that the touch press color on the reboot/shutdown menu is orange instead of blue. I don't know the location of its xml to help with.
I really can't think of anything else at the moment. It worked perfectly yesterday on a range of tasks from batch TB restore, gps, compass, camera, wifi, tethering. Well, I might have had a minor wifi bug....I took my dogs for a walk, and when I got back I had to disable and then reenable wifi to get it to connect. It may have been me in a hurry and not wanting to wait for Android to do it automaticly. I've had little wifi issues like that since the new screen off wifi power policy was implemented.....I don't like it. Its a pita when you data tether with wifi. Now I HAVE to use wifi keep alive. Phone gets really hot when the screen has to stay on AND your downloading at 1.5mbps.
The undervolting may be a bit low for the Bravo, its not for me, but my phone runs stable with [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] And yes, those are my clock speeds when I need the extea power. Some Bravo's cant even run [email protected] stable. I think the Bravo may be made with not-up-to-par Defy parts. I planned on adding that in the release info when the rom gets released.
If everything I've sent you gets added into the rom, the next release will probabaly be the Bravo stable release.
While its off topic, when undervolting your phone, you'll get more instability from the two lower values being too low than the high value being too undervolted. My phone is PERFECTLY stable with the above settings, but if I go to [email protected] and [email protected], it is EXTREMELY unstable. Also, to do a quick undervolt stress test, while listning to music, just open 6+ tabs in Dolphin HD at the same time then start pressing random links. If it doesn't crash you're usually good to go.

full work..?
Yes. Fully working and great. I only had issues when restoring apps with titanium batch with app+data, but that can happen with any rom. The OC vsel settings may be low. That varies phone to phone. To be safe, move Vsel 2 and 3 up one each, and Vsel 1 can actually go to 22. I've used 22 with every rom I've ever used. Some roms can handle 21-19, but 22 I've found is stable and reliable.
I've had minor theme issues, but that's probably because I used custom install and had mixed miui and ics settings. Just play with the Rom Toolbox and you'll be themed however you like in no time.
thanks

been waiting for this moment and thank you very much skeevy420
Forgot to mention, only boot in 2nd-init. Its says 2nd-boot, but I guess that only works on the Defy.
So have I. Now I can't wait for test3 or the 1.4 final. TweetyPeety put a lot of hard work into this rom. Try to go out of the way and click his thanks button, all I did was bug test and give him our camera libs and changes for the build.prop.

[help] how to go Stock ROM for EUI5.8 Dev

Hi All,
I just install 5.8.014s Developer ROM ( Le Max X820 ). I can't go Recovery to install other *.Zip packet. I have to try install other Recovery (TWRP ) but not run. Please help me...
Be careful with EUI 5.8, overwrite radio images and then you can´t go back to EUI 5.6.
Take a look in www.letv.re, I remember that read something about it.
If I find anything I told you.
Me too. I installed EUI 5.8.014s and after several reboots an attempts to get playstore working properly I decided to go back to backup as @UNDR8D83 described. It loaded but it didnt work. On reboot I got looping and with TWRP the half blue screen and the the blue led. Hard reset gets out of blue led and I can start fastboot. It gives okay x2 for flashing TWRP( i tried the Chinese-worked previously, and gemini didnt work previously, but both give half blue screen flashing followed by blue led.
Help please !!!!
it seems the 'blue led of death' is a soft brick haha didnt think in 2016 u could still brick android devices but yer
also when making a backup make sure to turn off all fingerprint/pattern/pin passcodes as i found out the hard way after loading backup it couldnt get past the lock screen

You need to describe better if you want sbdy to help
5.8.014 already has compatible TWRP.
Why you want to flash other non combatible TWRP ?
If you run into problem extract rec.img from 5.8.014 zip and overwrite via adb command. Check the forum and please don't double post existing issue.
Cheers
I have done a totally clean install. I wiped everything on SD, system, data, cache, dalvick and then booted into recovery. I then transferred 5.8 zip, along with SuperSu, and gapps to the phone from PC. Flashed the dev zip, SuperSu.zip rebooted and installed Google play. Deleted all the Chinese Le-bloat and installed Apex launcher, Google Chrome, Google keyboard and Google photos. Good to go. Had an antutu score this morning of 140491. I have the 4 GB, 32 GB version.

Hi,
There's a workaround for this...
Boot into TWRP. Go to "Advanced" and then "File Manager". Navigate to "data/system" and delete these 2 files : "gatekeeper.pattern.key" and "locksettings.db".
Reboot... and reconfigure your security settings (delete existing fingerprints and enter new ones).
Done.
Hi,
OTA for 5.8 15S just arrived on my phone this morning. Just updated it and everything seems to be working. PlayStore is OK. All my apps seems to work correctly.
So, it may be better to wait for it ?

Update info - I received the LeMax2 with International ROM based on 13S........ I download the Stock ROM 15S from the http://bbs.le.com//zt/eui/le_max2.html. copy as update.zip to the phone root, went Vol Up+Power and with the simple EUI Recovery directly update.
No need for any root or TWRP ......keep it simple
Went so perfect and smooth upgrade, kept all my data - I was surprise how easy was it.
anyone with International version and no OTA menu - go for it. 15 minutes and U are on stock ROM and OTA updates.
I am glad you had a successful stock upgrade. This is the method for upgrade from LeEco using stock recovery. What I recommended was for a cleaner experience, so one root and remove Chinese apps/bloatware plus easy way to install Google Play (post in discussion). There are always multiple ways to do things, it all depends what your goals are.
