[MOD] Statusbar Tweaks for Stock firmware **DISCONTINUED**

DISCONTINUED. New updates on this THREAD
Hello!
I'm parasmi from the Galaxy Mini Forum.
Just want to share this mod to the Galaxy Ace users
This mod adds customization to statusbar clock, battery, and signal. It also includes Battery Bar and will enable you to change statusbar background color and transparency (needs root access). It's accessible via Setings > Statusbar Tweaks
I don't have an Ace but I tested it on my phone using your DDKQ8 firmware. No guarantee in will work on other firmwares.
As always, flash at your own risk! Backup is a must!
Credits:
RomanBB for Statusbar Tweaks sources
pvyParts for additional Statusbar Tweaks sources and Battery Bar
Screenshots (taken from my ROM) HERE and HERE
@ROM cooks - if you will use this in your ROM, please give proper credit and add a link to this post.
Enjoy!
Installation notes:
-Again, your firmware should be DDKQ8
-You should know if you have an odex or de-odex firmware
-You only need to install 1 zip file from the attachment. It will depend if you are using CWM or Stock Recovery AND if you have an odex or de-odex system
If the zip file doesn't work, try manual installation -
1. Extract the contents of the appropriate zip file
2. Using Root Explorer, copy the extracted APKs to your phone's /system/app/ folder. Override files if prompted
3. Set permissions as attached
4. Reboot
5. To use custom fonts, create a folder /system/TEAM/font/ and place any font file a rename it to 'clock_font.ttf'. Set permissions as attached
Reserve just in case
hey
im uisng ddkq8 on ace and the 3 rd app from your list does not install via cm 5.some advise?
First attached file doesnt work on stock 2.3.5

Adding other firmwares in the next few days. I'll also try to throw-in the 15 toggle mod as well.
Thanks!
EDIT:
By the way, can someone confirm if flashing via Stock Recovery works? Thanks!

I'm on Stocklite V.6.
Flashing via CWM....mount system e data....working good...no problem !!!!
Great job bro !!!!
Thanks.
does this have the battery bar like honey comb ???
I use Lovetz's Odexed CyanogenMod 7.2-cooper-KANG-RC1-Android 2.3.7 on DDKQ8, and installed this in a hurry (cause I've been hungering for transparent status bar for a long time). But after reboot, I lost settings option from the menu. As you adviced, I used odex patch and its an odexed Rom over DDKQ8 base, so whats wrong? Its not for CM7?

[POLL] RE: MAD Industries SYSTEMUI MODS. See [MOD] thread first

This thread picks up where "[MOD] [SYSTEMUI] Enable Wifi Toggle / Reconfigure and theme toggles [ICS Blue!]" leaves off. See post #174
Alright guys so here's the deal. The *proper* way to remove the location icon, battery full notification, and/or clock is through a smali edit. Smali files are contained in dex files and jar files. Our stock rom is an odexed rom meaning that the dex file is specifically optimized for our device; its also signed. So in order to change anything, the steps are:
1) Pull core.jar, ext.jar, framework.jar, android.policy.jar, services.jar, services.odex
2) Disassemble the services.odex file
3) Decompile smali files and compare decompiled source to smali code to find correct values
4) Make edits to smali
5) Recompile smali files
6) Repackage odex file
7) Pull signatures from original odex file
8) Use them to resign new odex file
9) Push back to phones
10) Repeat for each version of the statusbar mod
As you can see this takes a very long time and is rather tedious. Work is pretty significantly reduced by using a deodexed rom.
I would like feedback from people regarding whether beans-only support is suitable or if this project should be elevated to a full rom. I have a feeling that even if I do just these couple of edits there will be more that require deodexing the services.
More detailed POLL options
1) Continue work with Beans support only (immediate)
2) Elevate project to full ROM status and introduce a new rom to the scene (requires time and preferably a team)
3) Just do the battery full mod and the location mod and forget any other status bar icon mods. (including removing battery/clock)
4) Leave the statusbar icons alone until a source-built rom is made available
5) (forgot to include) "Hack" solutions such as removing the png files

Edit: Definitely just support deodexed roms. Way too much work for odex and if people are into modding their phone they should be deodexed anyway Imo.

I say just provide support for Deodexed roms (not specifically only Beans Rom though). No reason to put you through all that time and effort of working on a stock Odexed rom.
Thank you again for your work. It is certainly appreciated by us all!

help to port apps from SGS to SGS+

hello mates,
is there someone that can explain me in few steps how to port system apps from i9000 to i9001?
I need only some directions no the whole process, I already know show to decompile and compile apps.
That I want to do in specific case si to port the i9000 tw30launcher to i9001 (cause on 9001 si bugged)
Le master broodplank pmed me. I asked this to him he said we need to deodex the files
:
Twlauncher and frameworks from the i9000 and then decompile and recompile them so that the signature is correct for our device @broodplank1337

umh...
- step1: decopiled i9000 TouchWiz30Launcher.apk using apktool and i9000 framework-res.apk
- step2: decopiled i9001 TouchWiz30Launcher.apk using apktool and i9001 framework-res.apk
- step3: compiled i9000 TouchWiz30Launcher.apk using apktool and i9001 framework-res.apk
- step4: copied AndroidManifest.xml,resources.arsc and META-INF folder in modded APK
... but i does not works... what I'm done wrong or what I missing?
I dont know. Ive tried it myself but failed aswell. Perhaps a question for him or another dev
Verstuurd van mijn GT-I9001 met Tapatalk
OK...
I've found where I was wrong: the resources.arsc file should not be replaced after the mod...
not easy such things for a near to 40 years old man...
by the way, I just remembered that Samsung has released a 2.3.6 version with fixed touchwiz: the KPC
I think you don't have to port the apps because both phones have the same resolution.

PATCHED SERVICES.JAR FLASHABLE ZIP FILES FOR CM9.x/10.x/CM11 ROMS

What's it do?
Basically increases system performance, better manage the RAM memory usage, reduce lags, force the launcher to not be killed and allow you to use other tweaks in ICS/JB roms as Fly-on-Mod
More info here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276
What's it do?
It makes your phone FAST... super snappy with better multitasking!
It rearranges and fixes the OOM Groupings and Priorites and lowmemorykiller values.
So basically, it's a COMPLETE MEMORY MANAGEMENT FIX!
It's the ONLY one of it's kind
NO LAUNCHER REDRAWS, faster than ever, multitasking is better... why?
Because it works with the lowmemorykiller and letting it work the way it's meant to work.
Also, because of the rearrangement, it works the same on all roms!
The problem with using minfree tweakers like AMM or AKMO is that it doesn't work the same on all roms.
Secondary apps may be in slot 3 on some roms but in slot 5 in others!
That's why you hear people comment "I tried AKMO but it didn't do anything..."
Most likely it didn't do anything because the apps weren't sitting where they were expected to be.
So fasten your seat belts and enjoy the ride!

Our thread was closed so I've created a new one to post all the patched services.jar files.
You are welcome to post or to colaborate with your own patched services.jar file here
I've created flashble zips to avoid the long process (copy/paste,permissions...) and do it easy, quick and safe for all members
Instructions to install:
1. Download the correct file.
2. Boot into recovery.
3. Install from sdcard
4. Flash it
5. WIPE CACHE AND DALVIK-CACHE
6. Done!, reboot system now
ATTENTION
The script was tested on Galaxy Ace (armv6 device) running CM11. The script seems to work fine, but I've experienced a black screen loop with all the tweaks enabled after reboot, so be careful mates when you use the Supercharged Script.
Do a BACKUP before doing nothing and getting the 100% Supercharged
HOW TO EXECUTE THE SUPERCHARGED SCRIPT
SUPERCHARGED SCRIPT
Get the Script
Requirements:
- Terminal Emulator
- Supercharged Script
Instructions:
1. Download Supercharged Script ile
2. Rename it as "1.sh" (e.g it's just to go faster )
3. Open the Terminal Emulator and type the following steps.
Code:
su
cd sdcard/download
sh 1.sh
4. Follow the script steps
*** cd sdcard/download is just an example, it could be cd sdcard or the place that contains the script, the real goal is to navigate through the folders and to find the place where the script is located
