[p700] Lockscreen Widgets in PA 4.4-BETA - Optimus L3, L5, L7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys.
Using the great ROMS from this site for a while for all of my devices.
I have installed PA 4.x a while ago (2-3 weeks) from this Thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2674626) and am very happy with it. But I can't enable lockscreen widgets. I searched the whole Forum and clicked any button and do not know what is wrong. Aren't there any lockscreen widgets on PA? Also in "Security" where an option like this should be there is only a greyed out option "Maximize Widgets".
I would ask in the thread, but have not enough posts. Yet, I hope tehre is somebody who can help me.
Thank you.

That's a feature that was imported to CyanogenMod ( which i was using till today, and now im on Paranoid ), but PA isnt focusing on small things like that, than on more performance, smoothness... As you can see CyanogenMod 11 for L7 is 200MB and PA is only 140MB, those are the missing things
But you can still do it using Xposed Framework Modules.
Xposed will let you edit the things as you like using Modules which you can download directly from the application.
Download Xposed from here: http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer
Here is a video how to install it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75y8fuAUxQI
And when you finish download GravityBox, enable it and Reboot the phone. ( It's also shown in the video for GravityBox).
GravityBox is a module for Xposed and you can use it to make a lot of things like change statubar color, icons, notfication bar, , transparency, lock screen settings... JUST DON'T EDIT THE BATTERY ICON LET IT STOCK ONE BECAUSE IT CONFLICTS WITH THE ROM !
You should play a little with it, and discover how it works
Also search Xposed for other module BUT DO NOT COMBINE ANY OTHER WITH SIMILAR FEATURES LIKE GRAVITYBOX, download modules for other things NOT FOR THEMING THE PHONE !
Here are some i use:
CpuTemp In Status Bar
Boot Manager
Smart Booster
Search for them in xposed you have search under Modules
Hope i helped you.

Why am i not seeing this?

I know there is a way of removing the icon labels on the lockscreen shortcuts but where is this setting hidden?
Someone please help.
I have added a screenshot to show you what im talking about.
Under the voice search app i would like to remove the words "voice search"
Can anyone help me with this?
so theres really no one that can help me with this ???
Not sure what version of android you are running, but I looked on my international D802 4.4.2 and I didn't see the option to remove the words underneath it. Only options were to remove or add lock-screen shortcuts. If you are rooted you may be able to do something about it, other then that, I would wait for the 2.5 version of Xposed, maybe?

have you tried looking for a different launcher I read launcher pro can do so but that's from the gingerbread days so I'm sure wouldn't want that
Install Xposed Framework and G2 Xposed.
The stock rom will not give you the option to hide them.

G2 Xposed does not have this option. I already have it.

That won't work no :c, it's depending on the Touchwiz framework :c

Oh I see, can't you put the touchwiz framework files into the ROM then try that way?? Or would the mess up the ROM?
If it was that easy, we would've had CyanoWiz by now ;D !! (so that's a definitive no no)

Well here's a tip
Go take a look at Xposed Framework. (1st hit on google leads to the topic i guess )
With this you can customize any stock rom to it's fullest extent.
Only pre-requisites are Root.
Go install a rom with Note 3 features, remove all the stuff you don't want, install the stuff you want (launchers etc).
Install Xposed Framework !
Install Wanam Xposed (from store or xposed installer) (( 4.3+ roms))
Modules i'm using:
- Advanced Reboot Menu
- All Notifications Expanded
- App Settings (set DPI per app)
- Chrome New Tab (opens up a new tab in chrome, instead of always losing the page you were on) ((when pressing a link outside chrome browser))
- Greenify ("freeze" apps, so they won't use any battery life)
- SwipeBack (just check it out)
- XuiMod (allows you to change pretty much every animation ((apps opening/closing, go to other "page" in an app, toasts etc etc)
There are lots more.

Thanks for this, still love the pac-rom but as stated it does not use the hardware. I will take a look at the Xposed framework although I am a little scared of killing my phone!
If i understand your reply the stock rom is the base then add or remove Xposed on top and play around from here,
@Neal
Exactly that, you can use Xposed to modify any Rom basically :silly:

Navigation bar not working

Hi there, it looks like my bottom part of my nexus 4 touch is dead which makes the navigation bar unresponsive, however i was able to make it work with the help of xposed framework by increasing the height of navbar.
My question is can't i make modification in the rom itself and flash it and make it a parmanent fix so that everytime i factory reset rom i dont have to use xposed framework? Because uninstalling the gravitybox app reverts the changes i made to navbar. If this is possible please let me know the procedure for the same.
Thanks
(Current using AICP rom)

You could install a ROM that has this option incorporated in it, like Chroma, for example. There are more such ROMs in the development section.

Well, another solution would be to decompile framework-res.apk and change the DPI from there. But, as I don't know much about coding, I can't really help you with this...
I just posted this question.

Oneplus 2 List View Animations & Custom animation effect port. (AICP)

Hi All, so i have been using android ice cold project custom rom on my Oneplus 2 for a long time now and i really love this rom. However now that oxygen 3.0.2 official is here, i'd like to go back to stock on one of my oneplus devices. the problem is, on the custom android ice cold project i have a large variety of custom animation sets mainly 'List View Animation' where scrolling becomes fun.
i am wondering if there's any app that i can install to offer such feature on the official oxygen 3.0.2 even if root is requried. Is there really any app out there that will offer additional animation ?
Please help...
There is xposed modules for it.
I don't use it much but as far as i remember there was a module named XUI mod for this specific feature.
You can also try using gravity box for it i guess that also has this feature (i may be wrong) but there is definitely a xposed module fot it.

"CHEEMAROM"
Making a new oreo rom for sm-g955u(s8 plus) snapdragon and I am looking for help from you guys as participate as helpers but also give me tips on what I should add to the rom. I am doing a lot of stuff and given the rom can't be rooted. I can still mod it .
AND IF ANY DEVELOPERS WANNA HELP ME. Please feel free.
BTW.the rom can't have root because that isn't out for g955u but I can add mods into it that will minimize ur need for root permissions?
-changing emojis to iOS emojis
-giving people the option to debloat
-being able to flash Xposed
-being able to flash zips in safestrap twrp
-removing volume warning
-removing brightness warning
-adding a audio mod(something close to viper) if anyone knows a good mod that only requires twrp and no root. Let me know.
-adding rootless ad blocking
-unlock device with fingerprints after reboot(don't have to enter pin)
-advanced power menu that allows you to reboot to download/recovery(not sure what else I should add or if I should add this at all)
-adding 8 icons on the touchwiz launcher dock
-build prop tweaks for better ram and battery handling
AND LOOKING TO ADD ALOT MORE STUFF
With the help of you guys. So if you guys wanna say something that y'all want in the rom. Say it in the thread and yeah. And I would really appreciate if developers helped me answer my questions and helped me make this rom. I am a new member to xda but this rom is very close to being done.(it is actually running and I have tested it). I just need to add mods into it so give me suggestions thanks guys!
~special thanks to @jrkfuse for making this method on his rom and all the credit goes to him.
The ability to use download booster using any download manager would be nice.
