Wi-Fi Issue with Omnirom 4.4.3 nightlies - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Flashing omnirom 4.4.3 broke the wi-fi.
I fixed the issue by flashing the stock boot.img (from the 4.4.3 factory image) after the omnirom update.

[Q] Paranoid Android w/ wrong GAPPS

Last month, I accidentally flashed PA 3.69 (because I wanted a 4.2.2 stable build) with the CM/AOKP 4.2.2 GApps on my T-Mo Samsung Galaxy S2 and everything is working fine with no problems. I flashed PA 3.69 with the matching PA Gapps on my Nexus 4 but I don't like how the PA Gapps work/look. If I wanted to use the other GApps how would I go about this? And what known bugs/problems are there for doing this?
Sorry for my first world problem and thanks in advance for your help/input

Just take the PA gapps and flash them. They should replace the current ones.

Latest CM+Matr1x+Gapps issue?

For some reason, I can't flash the latest cm, matrix or gapps on 4.2.2 (or even 4.3 before i switched back) without getting stuck on the black screen after the google screen..
I had to revert to CM10.1.2, Matr1x 9.5 & Gapps 20130812..
The latest versions I tried were CM10.1.3, Matr1x 11 & Gapps 20130813 both from stock 4.3 as well as stock 4.2.2 (bootloader unlocked & rooted of course)
It isnt that big of a deal.. I just want to know why this is happening..
bump
try a different gapps.

[Q] Nexus 4 Update from CM 10.2 to CM 11 Bootloop

Hi all,
My specs are as follows:
1. Got a Nexus 4 with Android 4.3
2. Did a Sideload update to 4.4 and did not like what I saw )
3. Installed CyanogenMod 10.2 -20131114-SNAPSHOT-InstallerWPPQ46R-Mako via CyanogenMod Installer (screenshot attached)
4. Flashed the 4.3 radio via WUG's Nexus Root Toolkit because I did not have wifi.
I have CWM 6.0.4.3 that came preinstalled with the CM 10.2
I tried to do an update so I flashed the cm-11-20131205-SNAPSHOT-M1-mako.zip and the kitkat gapps via this process:
1. Booted to recovery
2. Wipe Cache
3. Wipe davlik
4. Installed Rom
5. Insalled Gapps
6. Wipe Cache
7. Wipe Davlik
The result was a "beautiful" bootloop. I like the new CM logo BTW )
Reading through some similar threads I came across several pieces of advice:
1. Update the recovery as the verion of recovery that comes with CM 10.2 is unable to flash CM 11.
Is the recovery from here an option?
2. One was to install a fresh version of kitkat and then install CM 11 which I don't fancy
3. Wipe data from device.
Could I get your input on how exactly can I proceed in order to get a fully working version of CM11 on my Nexus4?
Thanks a million
Andrei
Nobody with this problem?
no one has had this issue?
Updated to CM 10.2 Stable
In the meantime I updated to CM 10.2 stable version and also updated recovery to CWM Touch 6.0.4.5 from the link in the first post of this thread. Strangely enough now I am receiving information about update builds, even to the CM11 Snapshot.
As fellow Nexus 4 Users, which do you recommend: TWRP or CWM?
Thanks!
help

Nope, just upgraded today to 10.2.1, the last stable version of cm10, released on the 3rd of Feb. I didn't upgrade to CM11, but when I get bored I will I was on kitkat before and it did not impress...
I think you need to update the baseband
To flash a 4.4 based rom you gonna need :
1-latest selinux compatible recovery.
2-latest bootloader, ver makoz30d .
3-.97 or .98 radio.
Radio and bootloader you can find in googles stock img for mako, extract them and flash via fastboot or find them on xda in a form of flashable zip file.
After all 3 stages you will be able to flash cm11 without a problem, note that a full wipe is highly recommended when coming from 4.3 roms.
Good luck buddy.

[Q] Upgrading to 4.4 from 4.2, Questions

XDA,
I am currently running PA 3.69 (Android 4.2.2) with stock PA kernel and a .48 modem, and I am looking to flash the new CM11 M3 snapshot (4.4) with franco.Kernel and put on MultiROM with Ubuntu Touch. I have been out of the custom ROM scene for a while and I would like to make sure I get this right the first time.
Do I need to flash a 4.4 modem before I update the OS? Then, do I just flash the .ZIP from CM's website from within CWM? Or should I grab a factory image from Google and start from there?
Also, should I flash the franco.Kernel immediately after rebooting into the ROM, or does it not matter? I had problems with flashing kernels on my old phone after the OS had already been running for a long time.
Thanks in advance to all of you guys, you're an awesome community to be a part of.

Both kk modem and bootloader aren't mandatory but they are recommended
While you're in recovery flash the desired kernel after the rom but also you can do it after reboot
And... There are help threads here where you can start rather than opening another topic

LG G2 w/ Cyanogenmod 11 , no gyro / sensor etc...

hi
i installed lastest cyanogen mod for my G2 but unfortunatly i found out that most of my sensors are disabled like the gyroscope.
any idea why ? anything i need to install ?
thanks
You need the proper baseband for CM11.
CM11 uses jelly bean sources so you need the 4.2.2 baseband. cloudyfa has them, search around in these forums or on Google. That will fix the sensors. Keep in mind when returning to a 4.4.2 Rom that you need to flash the 4.4.2 baseband..
(note: if you have the verizon lg g2 and you're using unofficial cm11 that's based on 4.4.2 sources, you need to flash that. Again, cloudyfa has a repo)
Last week there was a problem im CM which f...ed up sensors. Same problem in some CM based AOSP Roms. In this case has nothing to do with baseband.
Should be fixed now. Just flash newest version.
