Looks like they took jetVD off the Android Market. I just installed a new rom and didn't backup that app. If anybody has the latest v0.9.8 apk can you please please pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase upload.
There are more places to look for app's than just the Market. I'll see if I can find something.

Some ROMS have problems with missing apps from the market. It has to do with the build.prop file. One way to get these apps is to use appbrain and fast web installer to send it to your phone. The app still exists: http://www.appbrain.com/search?q=jetvd

I am getting irritated by Google removing the apps that grab youtube videos.
Anyone has the latest version of apk and would you share it please?
EDIT: I finally managed to grab it from the 4shared link, tried like 10 times and it finally worked. Although it isn't the latest version (cannot choose where to save the videos).
Download Best tube off the market is free and its a youtube downloader and I have found every app that I've looked for....
Aren't there plenty of other apps that do the same thing?

Nope, name one that gives you the option to download youtube video in all available formats upto 720p?
Also finds videos the standard youtube app does not.

TubeMate works really well for me. It will save in multiple formats and in all available sizes. I use it to entertain my 2 year old with cartoon shorts.

Thanks for the app. But unfortunately the app will still work but the videos that are linked to YouTube is not available. Im Assuming that the jetvd team is undergoing a major update on the next version due to the script changes done in YouTube this past new years.

interesting. they seem to be developing even though they were yanked off of the market. however i cant read any of the links off of their twitter feed. on the computer or the phone.
version 0.9.13 is not working but the version attached to the first post is working fine
Version 1.0.1 will be out soon. I saw the release notes on their site. It will feature a new UI. We can view video comments and the option to view related videos as well as videos upload by the user.
I have 0.9.7 on my phone, from the Market, back when it was still there and it works 100% still.
1.0.1 is on the market!!
Sorry if this is late and after the fact...
JetVD is available on the market, but the lite version on the market will not allow you to download videos and save them. People in the comments section have advised to go to their website at jetvd.com and download it straight from there (using your mobile device). The Full version is free there, and will allow you to save your videos.
Is there a new jetvd or any other app that converts youtube videos to mp3?
I've been using TubeMate for a year or so, but it's not on the Market. Get it for free at m.tubemate.net.

If you use Firefox for a browser, there's an add-on that grabs videos. YouTube, Vimeo, etc
So I got a idea for a app that will only display The Latest Videos from one or two Youtube Channels! But I don't get API, sorry but I'm noob at that.
I have downloaded the Youtube API from the official site, still don't get it. And also there will be a option that you play the video when you click it in the app, not in the Youtube app!
Forgot to say that I have only been developing in a few months. And API is new for me.
I really need help at this and I'll appreciate it very much if anybody can help me!

I saw that WWE Network App came out for the Amazon Fire TV, has anyone attempted to sideload that apk to the ouya?
Looks like its tied to the amazon app store app, it wont launch unless you have the amazon app store installed.
UPDATED Got it to work outside of the fire tv:
Modified the apk to work on other android devices. i belive it only works on 4.2 and above (Sorry Ouya stock people)

anyone? I have an android 4.4.2 box and this is basically the only app i care about that i cannot get to work, assuming the fire tv one would work flawlessly!

i modified the apk to play on other boxes but it needs android 4.2. so i cant test on the ouya (4.1) Will you be willing to test the apk for me? Link on the first post.

I actually have another post up on the amazon fire tv forums asking for an extraction and someone was kind enough to provide the apk for me, since i 'bought' the app on the web app store despite not hacing a device able to run it and also having the amazon app store on the device, i was able to run it. i did have lots of issues and while video technically works, i was not able to pause fast forward etc only go back here is the post:
So i was able to purchase/own the wwe network app from the online amazon store despite me not technically having a device it would run on, this box can also install the amazon app store no problem, though it obviously only sees the android wwe network app and not this one.. GOOD NEWS is that the app is working on my account! its def a bit wonky but i am hoping it is some stuff i can fix with some DPI xposed changes or something of the like, thanks so much very appreciated, and def works!!

So what exactly did u modify in the file? if it is to just get it to run, i have that already, if it is dpi changes or anything like that.. than it may be worht checking out!

this apk is modified so amazon app store isnt required. i havent tested is another box but it worked on my Samsung s5.
You were able to view other tabs besides home? Even on my HTC one m8 the homepage looks fine but the images dont load on the other tabs. Such as shows and schedule

I started to have this issue on my Tronsmart android tv box shortly before summerslam it stopped working and is still not, maybe there was an update to the app and i twas not updated here?
Today I looked at my Fire TV and look at that...
I can now Dload WWE app from AFTV store and use it.:good:
Have done nothing to my boxes.

I know this post is from 100 years ago, I'm trying to remove the amazon dependency from the APK but I'm having trouble figuring out how to remove the "check". Can you tell me what you changed in the APK so it will run without the Amazon app store being installed?

It would login and then never actually play the video. I ended up exporting the apk from my fire stick and side loading it to my android box. I also had to install the Amazon underground app in order for the apk to work.

I'm also Canadian and hate the regional crap with the Playstore.
I would also love to get an extracted apk for the Nexus Player's version of Pandora.
Additionally, is there anyway, to change Google account settings to achieve this?
I'm doubtful, because I had to pay more to get this device, because Google does NOT allow separate shipping & billing addresses like Amazon.com does! So the box had to come to my house in Canada instead of my US Box.
Anyway, any suggestions will be appreciated!

Hey guys. Does anyone have a working apk of the DirecTV app for the Nvidia Shield Android TV?
It looks like it has HDMI protection and just fails to stream. Has anyone been able to remove the protection on the .smali file that has it?
What is the exact error that you are receiving? I use to be able sideload a Direct TV apk for either the phone or the tablet but now they have stop working. When it worked fine it was amazing. I was able to watch my subscribed premiums. I think we need to incentivize developers to find a means of allowing functionality through our Nvidia Shield. I will pledge a 300 bounty for the first person that finds a work around. There are many gifted people on this forum and as a whole we can solve this issue.

Not sure if it's an HDMI block because if you notice certain channels do work (local NBC works for me as well as ESPN channels). I'm inclined to think the device isn't giving the proper location access to the app thus forcing the error for most channels. Just my 2 cents.
I experimented with a custom ROM yesterday and the DIRECTV app worked great on it. I don't think the app has an HDMI block, I think it's more that the stock rom restricts the necessary permissions or location requests.
What android tv box are you using? Are you using the latest directv version (phone or tablet)? What custom ROM you use?
I have a shield TV and I'm using zulu99's full android marshmellow firmware. There isn't any controller support so you'll have to pair with a mouse/keyboard but pretty much all apps work on it.
Hey guys, I am in the same situation. I have found two other threads on the issue. It is definitely not an HDMI issue or a WiFi issue. Someone has tried to fool the app on what device it's on and it worked but it was too much work. There must be a simpler way to achieve this.

I would love to see someone figure this out. I have tried to tinker, but I am just not smart enough to make it happen. Hopefully one of the many crazy smart dev's will take a look at this sometime. ((fingers crossed))

The Direct TV app now is working I have the same issue but i think it was an ATT issue but its working as of 10/19/16

I would love to use the DirecTV Now app on the nVidia Shield too. I extracted the APK from the app I installed on my Pixel XL, and loaded it on the Shield, but I get the following error:

Man, life would be good if they'd release this app for the Shield.
Ok, so I was able to extract the Fire TV .apk file and sideload onto my Nvidia Shield TV. I was able to open it and navigate using the standard Shield remote. The only issue I am having is playing live TV content. Sometimes it loaded fine and other times it gives me an error and telling me to Refresh the content. Seems to be very buggy for Android TV. Here is a link to the extracted .apk file. I would like to see what you guys get trying this out.

I got mine working. I did a Sideload APK install from APK Mirror "DIRECTV for Tablets 4.7.015 by DIRECTV, LLC --- September 9, 2016" (select that version)
My problem was that I kept trying to use the Telephone version of this App. I did not know that DirecTv has a Tablet APK version as well that is very similar but has slight variations for older tablets. Let me know if yours works now. I don't need $300, but a $10 Starbucks gift card will do...

It seems there is some confusion and contusion between the DirecTV apps. The hot new toppic is about the DirecTV NOW service. I ran the search on APKmirror and it seems what you are talking about is the older app for DirecTV satellite service customers.

I am referring to the DirecTV app that is for satellite customers, NOT the Now app.
I was able to download the tablet version of the DirecTV app and use it on my Nexus Player running stock 7.1.1 system, but you have to use a mouse; the app is designed for touch input and while you can sort of use the remote, there are a bunch of things you cannot press without using a mouse. Still hoping for some official support at.. using a mouse isn't ideal. Here is the latest apk file: updated 11/24/2016 v. 4.9.010
