[q] root 4.4.2 ? - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

heelo i have SM-N900V android 4.3,
I wanted to know is there a way to do an update to 4.4.2 and make ROOT?
If so would love to help (explanation)

Not possible right now . Only 4.3 root to an 4.4.2 rooted rom.

Then you can explain to me how to do ROOT to 4.3?
Or if you have 4.4.2 ROM with ROOT

Using the search method or reading topics on the same page you posted is usually a good idea. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2762999

Rooting S4 Sprint 4.3

Does anyone know where i can find information or process to root the Sprint S4? I am currently running android version 4.3 with baseband version L720VPUEMK2.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Cf-auto root, or Saferoot. You should search more before posting. I believe there is a sticky on this topic.

I used cf-autoroot in my MK5 GS4 without a problem.
The only issue was getting adb commands working. Took a reboot or 2 before it would adb connect

There are plenty of threads with information in the general section, including a thread convienently named All Things MK2 And NB1. Make sure to check that and read more before asking questions unless you're on an I337m, in which case you can disregard anything I've said ;P

You can't do what you want but there are roms you can flash. Start here

Rooted 4.3 or 4.4 update

To install the OTA update for 4.4 you have to unroot. Is the 4.4 update worth losing root access?

A thread has already been started for 4.4.2 KitKat.
Route all KitKat questions here:

That would really be up to what you think is more important.
I am fine with running rooted 4.4 until the "official" gets root.
If you switch I do believe you will be stuck with it. I would think that MJ5 restore will work.

Because no exploit is avaliable if you are at our above 4.4.4
No you can't downgrade below 4.4.4
No there's nothing else you can do to get root.
