can someone root Cyanogenmod 7 or Cyanogenmod 6 android roms to A101??
Is it possible??
For the thousandth time:
No, there is no Cyanogen Mod on Gen8
We have only one Rom: Urukdroid, but this one is goood Try it.

If you get someone to compile the CM7 with all the specifics for the gen8 ( f.ex. display via usb ) and some other things it is easily done, as $auron has allready proven with UrukDroid.
So please all stop wining about a recovery.

I want to learn about android developement (at the moment i test solune's Urukconfig),
could you tell me: what is an recovery? (I dont think its a recovery what recovery you data/apps/media like on a pc.)
"The Recovery" is kind of an extended bootmenu for the devices where you can flash new ROMs or make a backup so that you can get back to where you are.
Normally it also comes with alot of custom scripts for root, displaydensity,cleaning caches, memhacks etc.
This is needed on other devices because they don't habe a SDE.

Why nobody test some Roms from other Tablets/Phones on our Gen8?
It's true we have SDE that let us use UrukuDroid !!
That mean we can have other versions of roms like Cyanogenmod 7 or 6

CM7 is just one of many kernels done on the google basiscode.
If you could get the display to work and get the drivers of the other stuff in there it is just the work to get the initramfs to do the wireing of the partitions.
So if some of the cracks from the cm team would start with a "port" they would probably be ready before the end of the week.
I know, why don't one of you send the Cyanogenmod guys your Archos so they can get it done? lol

cm7 is not ''just'' a kernel and we have no indication how long it will take the cm7 for sgs is in the making for month and they have some great devs
it could be easy but to be honest i would bet money that we will never have a stable cm release

You are partially right, but the kernel part is the harder one to port, if that is done ....
But you are right with timing.
Even on my milestone it took them so long and roms like froyomod are alot more stable.
So I was searchin the web n I found this ROM I've tested but it stucks on the cm logo, so can anyone make some changes in to this ROM to get it working, I'm sure it's possible but only if someone who really loves his z2 make an effort n get it to work the link is below, hope someone would get it working. :fingers-crossed: :laugh:

I guess is same rom as the one posted here on XDA , is called UNOFFICIAL CM13 ROM , I didn't install because I see many people complains about bugs yet .

Tried building miui on aosp base, all patchrom conflicts were easy to fix. Unfortunately rom is not booting
I think that all booting problems are related to ramdisk, but I won't fix them, im making my own nougat device tree. There are problems with android runtime, and yes i modified boot.img for MIUI!

Modified boot.img for MIUI? And it does not boot, no? Since I’ve been working on MIUI for 5 months now(with some breaks) and it still doesn’t boot.

Yep only bootanimation and phone was vibrating every 2 minutes (you know that vibration when phone is booting)

On what ROM is it based? My developing team can help you if you want, but you need to put source code on github. Also, can I know what is the idea?

using stock rom, yes i know it probably wont work, but i know one person who made MIUI basing on ... touchwiz

Mhm, I already tried in the past MIUI based on EMUI and no luck. Is not even reccomended to work on stock ROM's. But this is your choice, maybe you have some luck.
Does anyone still have a working link to CM12.1 for our device? I'm planning to revive my old Oppo F1s.

Yeah, I downloaded and tried the LineageOS 14. It boots but there are lots of bugs. Including audio and camera. Sometimes random reboots happen
I really wanted to try out the Cyanogenmod 12.1 though. Unfortunately, all links where down.

The rom didn't even boot in my device
I tried moving some files from stock rom to the lineage os rom but nothing happened.
Someone needs to fix the bugs on the lineage os rom
And repost it.?

As I see your device has Snapdragon 410, I can try to port a Custom ROM or a Custom recovery if you want
processor info in "about device" says Qualcomm MSM8916
current build is BLU_V0010UU_V13_Generic with android 5.0.2

I probably will port TWRP from a similar device that has MSM8916.
And no, I don't have the firmware (i'll research soon) neither the phone.

it's okay. after TWRP, I can try to port an android 6 based ROM

as for msm8916 it shouldn't have much bugs
im not an expert, but all custom roms have issues? like different stuff not working, camera, lte, blutooth etc..
hard to believe if you take like lineage or something and porting it on a specific phone, everything will work ??

yeah, all custom roms have issues, but it's pretty easy to fix on msm8916 chipsets. there are a lot of guides where you can fix these bugs
