Please help me.. Thanks in advance...

Wouldn't recommend you try it on a locked bootloader.
Those that are unlocked shouldn't have any issues.

Technically, with a locked bootloader, if Fastboot will allow you to downgrade, then it should be possible.
You'd have to boot into Fastboot, then run the command:
fastboot flash system system.img
Where system.img is the 4.1.2 image file extracted from the fxz file. If it won't let you do this, then downgrade isn't possible. It will likely say failed flash and you'll have to flash something to kick the phone out of fastboot like logo.img.
You could also try RSDLite and try to flash the 4.1.2 fxz, but I doubt that will work because bootloader and such are not downgradeable and it will likely fail.

You can get them here:
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=8
You can extract the original system.img from the archive as well as logo.img in case the phone doesn't allow you to flash system.img, you can use logo.img to kick the phone out of Fastboot. You will need to install Motorola ADB drivers on your computer in advance, and also need a fastboot.exe file which I think you can find via Google, but if you have ever rooted your phone in the past, usually that also came with fastboot.
Anyway, get into fastboot mode by turning off the phone, then holding down all 3 buttons. Use vol- to select Fastboot and vol+ to choose it. Phone should boot into fastboot.
Connect to PC and issue command:
fastboot flash system system.img
If it works, the phone should be downgraded. If it says flash failed, then downgrade isn't possible. In that case, if the phone is stuck in fastboot mode and can't be rebooted, issue this command to get out of fastboot.
fastboot flash logo logo.img
That should let it reboot as normal.
I actually doubt it's possible to downgrade, but I haven't tried it myself so I can't say for sure.

Thank u so much my friend, I need to clear that I m using this phone in India with Reliance CDMA network. If downgrade will succeed then will it in verizon locked condition or it will remain unlocked for global use? Also I need to add that I have never unlocked my bootloader or rooted my phone.

I think it would stay unlocked since you wouldn't be reflashing the radio.
It is easy enough to re-unlock if that should get reversed, however.

Ah, nevermind. Don't bother to try it. Even if you could succeed, you'd end up with black screen after the logo. The newer bootloaders will not allow Jellybean to boot. There is no way to downgrade. KitKat is a one way road with a locked BL. Sorry!

Sorry for the bad news. I'm in the same boat now too. Thought I would experiment with ways to preserve root, and long story short, now I'm stuck on an unrooted phone on stock KK with locked BL.
Why do you want to downgrade? If it's to be rooted, sorry, no solution for that. If there is some other issue, maybe there is a solution for that specific issue.

Please help if u have any solution for this issue.

Good news is that major developments happened a month ago. :good:
You can now root AND unlock bootloader on KitKat. I think you can find the info you need in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2783806
Once you have bootloader unlocked, you can downgrade back to JB. I have tried it and can confirm it works.
Good luck!

You just run it and let it do its thing. Your phone should be rooted once it has rebooted. You can verify with any rootchecker app.
Then install and run Motopocalypse.apk to unlock your bootloader.
You can the use RSDLite to flash back to JellyBean using the JB fxz file. You will need to edit the xml file in the fxz file, removing the lines with gpt.bin and tz.mbn.

How to flash the Kernel correctly?

Im having a lot of troubles flashing a new Kernel to my Play. So i wanted to ask if I do something wrong.
Heres what i do to flash a new kernel
1. Unlock bootloader
2. flash new System.img and/or flash new boot.img via fastboot (fastboot flash system system.img / fastboot flash boot boot.img)
For now i succeed in flashing a new system.img which gives me root access, but everytime flash a boot.img (no matter what kind of kernel, even stock) I end up in.. hm not really a bootloop - nothing happens at all, screen doesnt even turn on.
Heres what i do to make my phone work again.
1. flash the relock ftf via flashtool
2. Use sony Ericsson update to renew the whole system
I gotta say that the flashing over flashtool only works with the relock.ftf, every other ftf I have tried gives me Errors, thats why I use the SE Update tool to go back to stock.
I guess flashing a new kernel through fastboot doesnt work for me, maybe i can flash only the kernel through flashtool? Any suggestions?
Nobody has an Idea??? Plz tell me how you flashed your (working) kernel and which kernel to use.
Will, I have a problem like that but i can't flash any thing with fastboot (Kernal or system)
and i'm also looking for help.
Plz say what exactly you did, otherwise nobody can help :-(

[4.4.3] Remove Unlocked Bootloader message!

Hello Guys,
I have sucessfully managed to remove the UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER WARNING message from phone boot.
4.4 image is slightly different from 4.2.2 image, is has the same Green M Logo, but now it says "A Google company"
4.4.3 image says "Powered by Android" instead of "A Google company
You just need to:
Download and Unzip the attachment and run:
Code:
fastboot flash logo logo_nowarning-4.4.bin
(This will not bring your warranty back, tho)
Enjoy!
EDIT:
Updated with 4.4.3 image! Unzip and run:
fastboot flash logo logo.bin

That's for the Developer Edition device, so you still have voided your warranty if you have unlocked a device which is not a developer one That's my case! But thanks for pointing it out, great news!
This doesn't work on droid maxx DE. Thought these phones were the same unless they changed something in the KK boot loader.

pretty sure it does. look in the themes section. you could replace it with whatever image you want essentially.
Is it the same command for 4.2.2? If not can you give it to me, want to rid my phone of this....thanks..
Okay it works, but sort of a noob with adb, what would I use to put any image on? Now it just a garble of colours etc...so any help would be most appreciated on what to label the image to flash properly or where do I drop the new image!!

You have probably flashed the ZIP instead of what's inside. Make sure to unzip the package before flashing (with fastboot, not adb)

LOL well another noob question, I did unzip the file, so how do I flash with fastboot? Do I not use android-sdk tools and a command prompt and fastboot flash logo logo_nowarning-4.4.bin? I gather it is how I am attempting to flash...
It would be great if you could create one for 4.2.2.....at this point I would say it sort of works on 4.2.2.

Just curious about the difference between mfastboot (motorola fastboot) and fastboot as it pertains to Motorola phones. I know I had to use mfastboot for flashing TWRP recovery and getting root with Supersu after unlocking my T-Mobile Moto x. But regular fastboot works fine with flashing the OP file? Would mfastboot work as well?

Fastboot is used for unlocked boot loaders and cfastboot is used for locked boot loaders. Did you mean c not m?

No, mfastboot is Motorola's modified fastboot utility that supposedly works better on Motorola devices. I think it has to be used for flashing .img files due to a size discrepancy in one of the partitions. I was just wondering for regular kinds of flashing zips if it matters which fastboot utility is used.

With very considerable care!
Hi, Daniel120201...
The method I use is via fastboot... I don't know if the various toolkits that are available can flash a bootloader, as I've never used them.
So, using fastboot, the command line syntax is...
Code:
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-grouper-4.23.img
...for flashing bootloader-grouper-4.23.img on a WiFi only 'grouper' Nexus 7.
The bootloader for the WiFi+3G Nexus 7 ('tilapia') will have a different bootloader name.
** (Edit & addendum: just checked, and as expected, it's called bootloader-tilapia-4.23.img) **
So for a WiFi & 3G Nexus 7, the bootloader flash command would be...
Code:
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-tilapia-4.23.img
-----------------------------------------
IT'S VITALLY IMPORTANT YOU FLASH THE CORRECT BOOTLOADER FOR YOUR SPECIFIC NEXUS 7. Fastboot flashing an incorrect bootloader to the bootloader partition WILL HARDBRICK the device.
And on that note... and before you do anything... it's important you read the following first...
[WARNING][URGENT] N7 grouper (2012 WiFi) bootloader .img files from Google.
Hope this helps... and good luck.

Help required to unbrick Motorola Electrify M (XT901)

Hi Everyone,
I own Motorola Electrify M (XT901) CDMA handset.
I had unlocked the bootloader, installed recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.4.4-xt907.img and was running CM11 with jellybean bootloader.
I thought of flashing my mobile with stock rom of XT907. So downloaded "VZW_XT907_4.4.2-KDA20.62-10.1_CFC_1FF.xml.zip". After extracting the contents. I executed the following commands to flash the mobile.
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash sbl1 sbl1.mbn
fastboot flash sbl2 sbl2.mbn
fastboot flash sbl3 sbl3.mbn
fastboot flash rpm rpm.mbn
fastboot flash tz tz.mbn
fastboot flash aboot emmc_appsboot.mbn
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot erase tombstones
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
Now the mobile is not booting. Please help me to unbrick my mobile.
Regards,
Ramakrishna.

You need to boot into fastboot, before plugging the phone into the computer.
Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk
The sentences "fastboot flash partition gpt.bin" and "fastboot flash tz tz.mbn" has set off the alarm. You have now hardbricked it because of the bootloader signature NOT belonging to the XT901. Bootloader signatures on both gpt.bin and tz.mbn are different for each models. You might get away with flashing the unofficial XT907 kernel on XT901, although I doubt it due to bootloader differences.
But you may get pretty lucky enough to flash back to the XT901 bootloader. Hope you have enough juice in the battery, otherwise you will have to either make or buy a Motorola factory jig USB cable to force the phone to boot without the battery if s*** hits the fan.
Root..
Hey guys this has nothing to do with the post! But I have the same phone and can someone PLEASE tell me how to root it please it running android version 4.4.2.. Thanks

System version? Not android version
Full kernel version?
Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk
The KitKat update was released last month, so most likely the kernel is "rather new".
It that's the case, Towelroot might be locked out, but it's still possible to unlock the bootloader via Motorola (to install a custom recovery etc.).
system version
its a motorola xt901.. system version 182.44.3.XT901.USC.en.US.... and kernel version 3.4.42-g7f16ba8-00003-gc488536... [email protected] #1.... towelroot will not work.. i tried motochopper but it will not work for the 4.4.2.. kingo will not work or framaroot also will not work..

Hi slgdad,
I have successfully rooted my updated XT901 with 4.4.2 stock rom.
Pre-requisites
1. XT901 bootloader should be unlocked.
The steps I followed
1. Kept the mobile in fastboot mode.
2. Flashed recovery with "ClockWorkMod Recovery v6.0.4.9 for DROID RAZR HD/M" [Link to download]
fastboot flash recovery CWM6049-RAZR-HD_M-KITKAT.img
3. Loaded to recovery, install "update supersu v2.46.zip" by chainfire. I'm not sure if I can provide the link for external sites. Better search on google for the zip file.
And XT901 is rooted. I hope this helps you. Feel free to ask questions.
Note: I have not made any changes to img file or zip file. I have used as is. They are works of their respective owners. I'm just a pointer, indicating the files I used to root XT901. Please do share this post if required.
Regards,
v2k100
Thanks! I will try it! But i still have a locked boot loader. I can't find away to get it unlocked.?

I'm not sure about unlocking bootloader of 4.4.2. Since I had unlocked my bootloader when it had 4.1.2. Try motopocalypse to unlock the bootloader. Else visit motorola site for unlocking procedure.

yes, unfortunately i flashed gpt.bin and bootloader.img earlier.. i cant factory reset since my phone is stuck at the bootloader screen itself.
your screen shows the moto logo???
hold power button for some time the device will shutdown. then press and hold vol down and power button after the decuce boots into bootloader use vol buttons to boot into recovery...then go to recovery and factory wipe

no..it doesnt show the moto logo....even i tried doing the recovery....but after i start the recovery the same problem arises the phone restarts and stops at the bootloader screen.
someone had this same problem see how he solved look for see post 9 http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=7015800 he eventually solved it.
Maybe you have to reflash the Marshmallow "fastboot flash partition gpt.bin" and "fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img" from the Marshmallow rom again. If you followed that downgrade guide this wasn't happened.
I would try flashing everything except the 2 lines for the bootloader and see if the works. I had the original moto x from 2013 and people would hard brick their devices by flashing back to an older version of Android. You may have a paper weight
a question, your device has unlocked the bootloader ?
try this code
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
