[Q] Random volume changes - Verizon Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Any else having this issue?
While listening to music through MILK, with the supplied earbuds, the volume will randomly decrease to zero or go full blast. In a two hour period it will happen a few times for about a minute and then its good.
I tried unplugging the earbuds when it happens and it still occurs. I have also removed the case.

Music player randomly starting, stuttering when i plug my headphones in.

I have this problem not just with android, but wp7 also. Whenever i plug my headphone in the music player would randomly start, stutter, and skip songs. The only way to stop this is to pull my headphone out. This happens with every android build i have flashed for the past year. How can i fix this?
I have one set of in-ear phones that cause skipping (and false calls on winmo) during playback, and I can't explain it. My best guess is that the 3.5mm jack is leaking signal into the connector for the stock headphone controls, sending false signals that the phone thinks are commands from the remote.
Try some other earphones,if it doesn't happen then it's something along those lines.
I also get this with my sennheiser cx270's, sometimes its fine, other times it goes berserk.
Same, no other earphones seem to fix this, so I'm thinking it's the jack. It happens every once in a while.

Certain Pair of earphones constantly turn the volume down..

Hey, first off to make things more clear here are some facts:
Phone: Nexus 6P
Earphones: Betron DC950 Earphones
Music App: Spotify
Shed Location: Bottom of Garden
Bit of a weird one here...
I bought the earphones from amazon with the intentions of them being a 'daily driver' if you will.
However; when I use them when playing my drums (which is my shed) they constantly turn the volume down.
This does not happen straight away though, it ranges from 5-10 minutes (after starting a song).
When it does happen though, the volume is turned down in increments.
When I press volume up the volume does go up.... But then turns straight back down after.
This is the only happens in my shed...
And i've used another pair of earphone + headphones which Do not have this problem.
Any ideas?
I have this exact same problem with a pair of headphones which I got from ExtremeGuard.
Happened everywhere to me though..
I find it completely bizarre that it only happens in 1 location, which means there's got to be some electromagnetic interference or something. The earphones have volume toggle and play/pause button on them, maybe it could be that.
My earphones only have a mic, and no volume toggles though.
Got the exact same issue. This happens for me when there's noise around the mic. I tried shaking the mic and could clearly see the volume indicator showing that the volume drops in increments.
Did you find any kind of solution?

No call and media volume (speakers)

It started two days ago when I placed a call and my phone didn't turn off the screen when it was near to my ear (proximity sensor thing). Next, the earpiece (upper speaker) didn't have any sound at all. I switched to loudspeaker and it did gave out sound perfectly. Later I tried playing songs, videos and none of the media had sound from the speakers while playing them.
However, when I plug in the headphones, the sound is perfect via them. Also when I plug in the headphone, the volume panel appears automatically and lowers down the volume instantly like someone was pressing the volume down button as soon as the headphone was plugged in.
I tried clearing cache, factory reset too. Even after factory reset it didn't work out but after some 2-3 hours it was all fine again for next 2-3 hours and then again no sound as before. The saddest part is my warranty is over just 1 day ago. So if anyone could help, it would be highly appreciated. Thank you!
Edit: Just found out the headphone icon is displayed even though I have no headphones plugged in. What I could make is it's a issue related to the headphone jack. I maybe wrong though. If someone has faced this earlier please shred some information.

Volume turns to zero when headphones are not plugged in

Hey,
since some time I am facing a really annoying problem. When I plug in my headphones, but won't listen to music, my volume decreases to 0%. I can't turn it off and the reminder will show up every second.
I will put a screenshot as an attachment.
Thank you
so deinstalling the Viper4Android Driver helped a little bit, but the problem still occurs some times.
I also have this problem.really annoying

audio lowering to zero after about 45 minutes.

Has anyone has a problem where audio volume lowers on its own? It's happened to me loads of time and is usually about 45 minutes in. Looked through settings and can't find anything that would suggest it's meant to happen. It happens with more than 1 pair of headphones and with or without quaddac turned on.
