I'm planning to purchase a smart phone of Micromax, and I found the canvas Juice is more better for me (1GB RAM, 1.3GHz Processor, 5MP camera with Flash, VGA front cam),
But there are two models A177 and A77. I couldn't find any difference between them except their price (a difference of ~Rs.600). Is there any difference? Is it better to choose the latest released model?
Which one should I choose? Please Please Help me.

Hi guys! I'm thinking of buying an idea blade and I really care about the battery life. So is anyone here getting around ~2 days. I don't use the phone much, except for wifi ~1hr/day and very less calls/messages.

you're probably pushing 2 days. I charge mine every night and it's usually at about 50-55% so 2 days could be done if it really is minimal use.
I also think this phone is getting very outdated now, I'd buy something else
For a little more money you could the Galaxy Ace or the Motorola Defy+. Way better phones

I reckon from my experience that u should go up for galaxy y. Here idea blade costs 5999 rs but a grand is all u need to change.
Plus blade's battery life is very poor especially if u connect to wifi

I personally suggest you to buy Google Motorola Moto G. It is not yet released in India. Even though it costs only Rs.13k - 14k. Wait for it and buy it. Currently only little developments have started on xda (I suppose) but is expected to soon pace up. This phone is expected to release in 3rd week of January, 2014.

Go for Sony or Google. I was once for for Samsung, but I would say Samsung has turned a bit against developers (remember SGY egl drivers). But Google and Sony are being very supportive to developers.

then again, they dont seem to be using Broadcom chips or other manufaturers who are "closed sources"

general tip: don't get phones with broadcom chips
I suggest you buying a Google Nexus phone. They do have a very smooth performance and they can also be found at a reasonable price from Google Play (only at U.S.). They're the perfect phones to experiment with. And the best is that they receive the newest Android from Google. Search at Google.
They're very easy to root and are compartible with the most ROMS. That means that they are developer friendly.

my suggestion is think twice before buying the phones go only with developer friendly devices go and read the user opinions in gsmarena
my hard suggestion is dont go for "broadcom" devices i.e galaxy grand, s2plus, s duos 2, ths all are broad***....
GO for sony xperia M best phone with adreno320 gpu or wait for MOTO G.....

yes i agree with you but cm has bugs on grand due to close source of broadcom & also it has poor performance on games but new grand 2 is lot better

I havent used the z2 so i can not say, But i have used the s4 and the s5 and the note 3 wins by a big margin.
But this is a note 3 forum, so its pretty obvious what im going to say.

Z2 will have modern processor.Be aware of the touchscreen issues,yellow hue issue that exists in Z1 or Z2 also.If issues r not there & u want to root while keeping ur warranty safe then sony is best option.Also u will miss air gestures,so the choice is yours

You forgot the S-pen....
Note 3 still sits atop the pile even with newer hardware available...
Might be dethroned with the release of the Note 4...
Iff you dont consider the s-pen , the note 3 is still top of the line better proccessor 3gyg ram 32gyg internal and it can have 64 sd card inside and lots more

I just saw that Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and HTC Desire 816 have similar specs. Only difference I could see other than manufacturer is RAM (2Gb on note VS 1.5 Gb on Desire 816). My question is since they have same CPU, Chipset and GPU, can we install rom for Desire 816 on Redmi Note 4G?
