Goodbye Buzz - Wildfire General

Hello guys,
I want to say a huge THANKS to all of you. I'm talking about the developers and you guys that you made my life a bit easier with our little buzz. I'm moving at Samsung's S3 threads now ... Well, I'm not going to sell my phone, so I'll experiment in new things about our Willy.
Once I finished with my final exams, I'll try to built a new rom which will be like Sence 6 ..
P.S : Thanks you!! PEACE

Star why have you made a Bye thread on the dev section?
What went wrong? I don't like seeing users post unnecessary things.
P.S The reason you've got banned is because?

How many posts do I need to make

Hey guys... just wondering.. how many posts do I need to make to post in the development section of the forum?
Thanks

I'm pretty sure it tells you when you try to post in there that you need 10.
Maybe. But I haven't been using the website. XDA's app is better. Considering buying tapatalk because of how awesome the xda app is, but I've already spent money on apps I barely use.

Useful Tutorial on Rooting Your Android

Hello XDA Forums!
I've been a new member here on these forums. Just letting newer users know that I found a helpful tutorial on YouTube that helped me root my phone.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSi5ssAWFAk
It was broken down into three posts, which I found extremely helpful. Not sure if others in the community will find it helpful!
Enjoy!
I'm sorry but it is people like you that annoy me. Calling every Android phone a "Droid" is stupid at best.

In return, its people like you who annoy me. I try to share something useful I found. Then, some 12 year old flames me on it. Grow up kid.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
I didn't know sprint sold Droid phones. Where can I get one? Lol NA but thanks for trying

I thought all the kiddies were in school this early.
Just trying to post something newer members may find helpful

But really you should change the title from droid to evo vuz newbies might not know u meant evo when it says droid
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
I get where they are coming from...it's annoying to see Verizon's branding turning into the general term for any Android phone. It confuses things and helps a crappy company define the market.
That said, it's a common thing and no need to break balls over it.
I will change the title of the thread. Thank you for the helpful suggestion. This guide just helped me root my phone!

For those of you who don't know, checkrom was one of the most popular Rom ( if not the most popular rom) for the Samsung galaxy s 2 I9100. It is being uploaded now to checkrom.com and will be available soon on xda i9300 under the development section. This is great news and I'm very excited about this!!!!!! Here's the link to their website:
Oops mods please close this thread, just realised they didn't want anybody to open a thread about it but just to inform people. Thanks.

They also say on that Site to not create a thread on xda about it, to inform etc is ok

Ioidroid development team

OK, so
I am looking to setup a development team. For the galaxy s3 and most other devices.
I am looking for ALL experience levels, whether it be that you have never developed before and would like to learn to the point where you could develop android from the ground up
I am looking for a truly multi skilled team of developers.
If anyone is interested please let me know, either PM me on XDA or Reply to this thread
ALSO you dont have to want to develop it may be that you can offer Web Hosting etc, any suggetion is helpful so if you want to be involved please mention it
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA Premium HD app
I'm interested, but could you tell us a bit more about what you want to develop?

How far through the java process are you with applications
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA Premium HD app
This sounds interesting.
About me: I've been writing Java for about 3 years now. I have experience in app development (a few small apps for personal use and a team developed game). I was also a co founder and leader of a small Android dev community of ~30 developer so I'm no stranger to working in a team either. I have some free time and could probably spend ~5-6 hours a week on this project. Let me know if I can help.

I would be interested in joining, I have no dev experience (pulled aosp source and built ICS for galaxy nexus and boot 2 gecko for gnex too, but that's not much good to you really) starting software development in college next week and have been doing a bit of studying on my own in java and C.
Was a kernel tester for a good while on nexus s too.
If I will be of any use then count me in!

Sounds like a few root operations and some busybox. That's not too hard. If you find a second coder (maybe one that has some experience with creating GUIs), this can be done rather quickly.
Does this require that I use your rom or would testing be done by someone else? I'm on Omega at the moment and don't exactly have plans to switch right now.

This is what I love about XDA.
Best of luck with the project guys!
