[Q] Upgrade to Slimkat 5.0 - SlimRoms Q&A

Hi guys,
I have a Nexus 5 with Slimkat 4.0 currently installed and want to upgrade to Slimkat 5.0.
Recovery is latest TWRP.
Do I have to backup with titanium and do a total wipe of the device or shall I only wipe cache and Dalvik and Flash the ROM + Gapps like it was the case on Slimbean?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Cheers.

always do a backup, but you can dirty flash the rom. in case there is a problem you will need to do a full wipe

And wipe system too, cause there were changes in the gapps package. No need to wipe data though.

[Q] How to Flash from CF ICS to AOSP ?

Hi, i`m new here, and i have a question.
I bought SGN with stock firmware.
I flashed with CF ICS pack, but now i want to flash with imilka AOSP ICS v05.
Can you guide me how to do this.
Thank you
Just download the zip from the dev thread. Then put it on your phone and flash it with cwm recovery. Wipe cache and dalvik cache and your sorted.
I did it yesterday and its running great.

Nexus 10 vrs kitkat

ive recently updated to kitkat. but i keep getting com.google.process.gapps stopped working and google play services has stoped working and i cant connect to any google account. plz help me!!
You need to wipe dalvik and cache and flash gapps specifically for android 4.4
Or you can factory reset and reflash rom and gapps 4.4

No, Its safe.
Nothing will happen
i just recommend to wipe/factory data reset & wipe cache partion
then you flash the rom
No need to wipe data actually. Dirty flash should work. Or wipe /system /cache /dalvic cache

Just reflash the rom you are on without wiping. Maybe only wipe cache and dalvik.

Should I uninstall xposed before switching to other different ROM

I'm currently on cm13 and I wanna switch to exodus ROM.Before flashing exodus zip should I have to uninstall xposed..

No need to worries about this if you make a full wipe (system, data, etc). If you make a dirty flash (wipe only cache and dalvik cache), you will have to reflash xposed after the ROM's flash.

And you really shouldn't dirry flash between different ROMs, that's begging for trouble.
Thnx
