Rooting Xperia Pro with Android 4.0.4 (4.1.B.0.431)

Go to settings > Security > Mark "Unknown sources"
Settings > Developer options > Mark USB debugging
Settings > Xperia > connectivity > USB connection mode > select MSC mode
You should have Flashtool

1. Download Kernel

2. Go to
C:/ Drive > flashtool > firmwares > delete everything present and Put the kernel (step 2)
3. Run Flashtool
Click on the flashing icon (left side below "file" option)
Select flashmode > ok
Setup should be like this > select OK

Follow the steps connect your mobile and flash
Flashtool may show error after flashing kernel, no worries
4. After flashing restart your device, it may work fine or may not start completely, may remain at Sony logo or remain blank/black.
Whatever the status is, just restart your device and proceed with the rooting
Now connect your mobile to PC and Root with DoomLord kit (Thank you very very much to DoomLoard for this)

5. Download
Xperia Pro - Kernel

Upgrading from the previous X909_EN_13_130318 version you will find the following changes:
Added Panorama mode in Camera. (Suggested by Corey M & lots of Ofans)
Improved Camera performance.
Enabled tap to focus while recording video. (Suggested by mah111)
Fixed the default zoom level in HD 720p while recording video. (Reported by AIT-Solutions)
When tapping the thumbnail after recording video, it will not automatically start playback, but will prompt you to press Play instead.
Fixed a bug that caused EXIF data to show the incorrect time when using 12-hour format.
Fixed a bug with Gmail that it wouldn't open emails. (Reported by Kordova)
Optimized Email previews so that two lines of text are shown instead of just one in the mail list.
Optimized Email interface: you can now select multiple emails without going into the menu.

There are three ways to update the firmware on your device. Use either one of these methods.
WARNING: All your contacts, SMS and previously installed applications including their data will be lost when updating! Your files such as photos and videos will remain untouched. Please make sure you backup before upgrading! If you prefer to keep your current settings, please wait for the OTA firmware that you will be able to install directly from your phone.
Offline Mode
1. Connect the phone to your computer via USB.
2. Copy the firmware upgrade package into the root folder of your phone.
3. Open the System Update app found in the Tools folder (or go to Settings > General > About phone > System update).
4. Tap “Local upgrade” to select the upgrade package.
Upgrading via System Recovery
1. Connect the phone to your computer via USB.
2. Copy the firmware upgrade package into your phone.
3. Turn off the phone.
4. Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons to enter recovery mode.
5. Select “apply update from sdcard”/"手动选择安装包" by navigating using the Volume buttons and and using the Power button to confirm.
6. Use the volume keys to navigate and the power key to select and confirm.
7. Select “reboot system now”/"立即重启系统" after the installation finished.
OTA (Over-the-Air) - Coming later today
1. Open Settings
2. Under "General" scroll down and select "About phone"
3. Select "System update" at the bottom

How to install:
- Do a full wipe ( Not always needed, but always recommended )
- Install ROM, reboot.
- Set up a internet connection ( 3G, WiFi )
- Market should display in the apps ; if not, wait for a minute or reboot.
- Play around with the settings.

How to set up A2SD
Requirements: 512MB EXT4 Partition ( 1024MB Recommended )
Do you have an EXT3 partition? download the fix from the attachments and flash it before you do this! Else it will not work!
1. Do all the steps from the installation, if you've done all that, please don't install apps.
2. open app scroller, and open terminal emulator
3. type su and hit enter ( accept if Superuser prompts up )
4. Click the menu button on your device, and click show keyboard.
5. type a2sd install and hit enter
6. type y , type n , type y ( When it asks for it )
7. Auto reboot!
8. At the first boot it will be really slow ; can take up to 15 minutes.
9. After that, don't be afraid, all the apps have to load 1/2 minutes. ( that's why they don't show up in the app drawer.)
10. Done!

Reserved for mods
This is a direct port of the WindowsPhoneMod for the HTC Desire, which i created and have maintained. Since my Samsung Galaxy Nexus broke, i got my brothers old Samsung Galaxy Ace, which was really laggy on stock, so i ported my own ROM over. Some things might be different, just tell me, and i will change them. Thanks,

Tips & tricks​
Q. I can't enter my pincode at boot, it just flashes away. How do i fix this?
A. Go to Settings > Locatoin and securitysettings > Set Simlock > Change the simlock password (doesn't matter if it is the old password, just change it.)
Q. You said there would be Windows Phone keypress sounds, there not!
A.You must enable them to use. go to settings > language & keyboard > Android keyboard > enable sound at keypress.

Download EPO File First...
IF GPS not working follow following steps:-
THIS SHOULD BE DONE OUTDOORS.
1. Turn GPS off on your phone.
2. Open Root Explorer and find the mtkgps.dat file in /data or /data/misc
3. Delete mtkgps.dat
4. Reboot phone
5. Open Mobileuncle Tools
6. Tap on 'Engineer Mode'
7. Tap on 'Engineer Mode (MTK)'
8. Scroll across to 'Location'
9. Tap on 'Location Based Service'
10. Tap on 'AGPS' and then make sure 'A-GPS On/Off' is checked
11. Tap on 'EPO' and then make sure 'Enable EPO' is checked
12. Swipe down (notification bar) and turn GPS on
13. Hit back and then tap 'YGPS'
14. Wait until you get position lock (mine took about 6 seconds).
15. This process should create a new mtkgps.dat file.
16. Hit home button and open GPS Test.
17. You should get a position lock reasonably quickly.
Even though you have enabled A-GPS and EPO you can now turn them off (although any subsequent position lock should be quicker if these are enabled).
NOTE :-
This method is not mine..... Credits to google... i jus had to look up for fix...

i am getting ota update but its giving carrier switch error when i install it,hence will flash it directly
